Accommodating staff, excellent breakfast quality, good location and for a 3 star it was reasonable value. Showerhead was completely stuck and unusable, pillows were like lead slabs, doors slamming at 630am, ridiculously loud water pipes which started even earlier and room was totally slanted, felt like we were on a cruise ship!

Friendly staff and excellent service from all aspects. Large rooms and bathroom. Traditional style retaining the aspects of hotel service that seems to have been lost at a lot of newer facilities these days

Very friendly service..........excellent food. Lovely country side............in easy reach of various points of interest. We visited Durham, and Beamish during our stay. Constructive Critisism of the Feshui room....No mirror in the bedroom. For a lady to use a hairdryer, the plug was under the T.V.Difficult to manage without being able to see in a mirror. Otherwise no other problem.

The staff were great & very attentive, food was well prepared, tasty and the memu was just right. Felt comfortable throughout our stay Beginning to need a refurb, some of the paintwork was peeling off and looked like a good scrub up was needed all round. Wouldn't stop us staying again though, overrall our stay was great .
