We have travelled thought the world and have stayed in very many different types of accommodation, from luxurious 5 star to beach front cabanas. The Croft is definitely one of our favourites. The decor in each room is totally unique, most with genuine antiques. Kevin, the very kind interesting owner, showed us around. The rooms are fitted with the most superb bathrooms, they can match any 4 star we've experienced. The breakfast is excellent. Will looking forward to returning. We loved it! So personal!

We loved everything about the Croft, it was so welcoming and the owner Kevin was very nice... The room (we booked deluxe double) was exceptional it was immaculate and beautiful, the bathroom was amazing.. The impressive shower had its own lights which change colour (very romantic/relaxing)... The bed was very comfy with good quality sheets and pillows.. The furniture is amazing the wardrobe was gorgeous...infact the whole place is just brilliant.... Full English breakfast in the morning along with cereal, pastry and fruit... choice of tea, coffee and fruit juice... was really nice, the owner has thought of everything here an i honestly dont think he could improve it!!! Its in a brilliant location.... 5 mins walk into town! :) We will definatley become regular visitors to the Croft!

I stayed at the Croft Guest House as they were very dog friendly which is most important for me. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and it was ideal for us as it is only few minutes walk to the town. Rooms were comfortable although they may need a little updating in the decoration.

The location to the centre of Strattford was excellent, easy walking distance to shops/culture centre/leisure facilities/cox's yard venue/pubs etc. Bathroom was fantastic - very modern large shower with mood lighting. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We had a small double room which was excellent value and fine for one nights stay, but due to the small size of the room there was no wardrobe, as I say we managed as it was for only one night. The curtains in the room were very thin and this let so much street light in that it was rather like sleeping with the light on - maybe thick lined curtains would be a good idea?

The Croft was clean, comfortable and very well-placed for theatre visits. The breakfast was very good, and the service was friendly and relaxed. My room was very comfortable, but I am not keen on the large and non-adjustable type of shower head that was in the bathroom. Maybe shower caps should be provided! Apart from that, it was fine.

The locality is excellent, within easy reach of the town centre and local attractions. The Guest house is easily accessed and the owner helpful and friendly. We have stayed there once before, and the guest house has had bathrooms refurbished to a high standard since our last stay. The room was warm with tea and coffee available. Food was good and plenty of choice at breakfast. Breakfast was served early for a weekend from 8:15 to 9 am. Usually it is a little later at weekends. Bedroom, bed was clean and tidy but a little tired decor, and a musty smell probably as bathroom ensuite did not have a window for ventilation.

My wife and I thought the owner was very courteous and welcoming. The room was very well decorated and the bedding was also spotless. The en suite was lovely. It was also very clean. We were both very pleased with the breakfast too.Full english and a variety of cereals, juice tea etc.The only very minor criticism was the `chamber/classical` type music in the breakfast room.Bit corny.Radio 2 would`ve been good for me. The place is also very well placed for the city centre.Just a short pleasant stroll to all the restaurants and pubs, theatres and of course the Shakespeare sights.Overall a pleasant place.Would stay again no doubt about it. Nothing to moan about in the slightest apart from `cronky` music at breakfast! Sorry.

The personal care was much appreciated. There is good car parking. It is a short walk to town and the rsc theatre. The rooms are very clean and it all feels much more friendly than an anonymous chain hotel. It is also good value. The owner could not have been more helpful.

“We really enjoyed the Arden Park Guest House. It was walkin distance to the train station and the center of town. Mark was very accommodating to our needs and the breakfast they served was excellent. The beds were the most comfortable of all of our guest house experiences while in England.” Barbara, Bogart |

“Arden Way was first rate. The location was just what we wanted in Stratford. We could park the car up and were just a short walk from the town centre (important in Stratford as parking is expensive and limited). The room had just been decorated and was first rate. The breakfast was excellent. We will certainly return as we visit Stratford fairly often for the theatre, which is a within a short walking distance. The owner was helpful and informative.” Neil, Haworth, Keighley |
