The combination of ultra modern bathroom and old world charm made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The delicious fresh fruit and cooked breakfast were perfect. The owner was kind and charming and the location within easy walking distance to the centre.
Breakfast was excellent
Room we had was quite dusty
Fantastic as always!!! Close to theatre and town centre, excellent breakfast, free parking, spotless room, luxurious bathroom and a very friendly host!
Close to attractions. Towels & bedding spotless. Dining room very pleasant. Breakfast good
Thickness of dust everywhere. Lampshades mirrors & furniture had a thickness of white dust which didn't appear in a week!! As you came down stairs dust stared you in the face also not sure when strairs had been cleaned last.all in all NO return.
room /breakfast // /very friendly and helpful host /perfect place to visit stratford and go to the theatre. We'll be back
The owner was great, along with the breakfast. Nice big room and lush looking ensuite. Great location for everything we wanted to do. We could see the roof of the butterfly farm out of our bedroom window.
Matress was disgusting, creaky old bed. Had hardly any sleep all night. My partner and I also discovered bites on our legs and feet the following morning, perhaps bed bugs? Not sure.
nice room friendly staff, exelent breakfast.10/10
Very very convenient location a few minutes walk from RSC teathre and all Shakespear attractions. Very helpful host. Clean, bright and very spacious room. Honest and abundant breakfast. Quiet.
En suite toilet a bit small, though shower is very good. Lacks a bit of character, but nice and clean.
Central location. big room and nice bathroom. Good breakfast, although narrow time-frame (8.15-9.00).
On a very busy road so the sound of revving motorbikes and big lorries went on all night. A toilet roll holder in the bathroom would have been nice. Bed - definitely roll into the middle, climb up to the edges type - needs replacing, as do the saggy pillows. Smokers outside the front door. The smoke drifted through our bedroom window, also unpleasant.
Ideally located for the theatre and shops in the centre. Really appreciated free parking, access to fridge and WiFi which worked well in the bedroom. Perfect English breakfast.
Rooms of high standard; location 5 mins from RSC theatre; very good breakfast
Fantastic room with fabulous shower..excellent breakfast..good facilities..close to city centre..will never book a hotel in Stratford again! we will definitely be back!!
The location, its 2 minute walk into the town centre, with free parking. A nice, comfy and clean room. Very nice breakfast and welcoming staff. Perfect for a one night stay for a show.
Check out was 10am which was a little rushed.
Everything about the place was perfect. We especially appreciated that, unlike most hotels in the UK, this place provides washcloths.
Nothing to dislike!
Nice, old stylish room. Fantastic bathroom.Nice garden. Only a ten minutes walk to town. Very good and extensive breakfast.
Unfortunately only a steep staircase to the second floor.
Comfortable room, clean with everything you need. Breakfast had everything provided.
Close to busy road which was noisy
Location - could walk into Stratford in matter of 5-10 minutes - a real boon after doing a lot of steady driving. Good breakfasts - lots of fresh fruit supplied which we both like - also yoghurt. Owner -Kevin - was very pleasant and helpful.
Was on 2nd floor in room 8 -2nd flight of stairs is rather steep - though manageable. Hot water supply to sink taps in our twin sink bathroom was very variable - one morning we actually boiled a kettle to get hot water - shower was fine though.
Walking distance to city centre, off road parking, comfortable bed, great breakfast and fabulous bathrooms.
Kevin was very generous and went out of his way to help us by looking after our bags and giving us information.
Cleanliness needs some attention.
Friendly welcome, lovely room (7) and wonderful shower! Loved the antique furniture, especially the bed. Other reviews have said the mattress was uncomfortable, but I slept soundly with no problems. Huge bathroom with two sinks so plenty of room, and probably the best shower I have ever had! Pleasant five minute walk over the river bridge and through the park to the theatres and town. Perfect base for a visit to Stratford. Excellent breakfast - cereals, fruit, pastries, toast and of course full english. Easy parking so no need to use the car during my stay. Would recommend The Croft and will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Stratford.
location, friendly service,standard of decor.
traffic noise at night
room not as internet showed. dirty shower, leaking sink, all paintwork needed a wash, no hanging space for ladies dresses & overpriced
The location to all the historical sites was perfect, breakfasts were the best.
Being close to the town
We stayed a couple of years ago at this guest house and it was very clean, but we felt it had gone down hill from our last visit not very clean we stayed with friends and the mattress on our bed and their bed was awful the canopy around the four poster bed was full of dust as was the rooms
Everything was perfect, our host was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was really lovely. The Croft was in a brilliant location to visit Stratford, will definitely be going back :)
