Thoughtful staff was placed away from wedding guests. Good brekkie. Central location didn't use car for whole stay.
Wedding guests did take over late bar could not get served for nightcap. Lack of,staff late evening.
Customer service was excellent nothing too much trouble in an excellent location convenient for all requirements
Nothing didn't like
The traditional old style building&Location
Very clean and warm breakfast was spot on
Extremely noisy from outside the bars club leavers the wall deviding the room are paper thin so could hear everything you don't want to hear
Beautiful hotel and wonderful breakfast, Room huge and comfy
Everything about my visit was great room staff and the hotel looked very clean throughout. The only next was a group of people in their 60's sitting in the reception their language was foul and crude but that's not a reflection of the hotel !!!
The Hotel is situated in a great location close by to the town centre shops, bars and restaurants, friendly staff and a spacious room, would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Harrogate.
Location, size of room, comfort of bed, free bottle of wine, water
Shower Breakfast Ambience Of Hotel
Poor Comfort Of Bed Left Our Complimentary Wine (didn't know it was included until after we had left hotel) but hey ho!!
We love Harrogate for the choice of Hotels B&B, shops, restaurants and pubs. Its only 90minute drive from home so easy to get. Its a beautiful town and we have always had a really nice time there.
We were given a room upgrade as it was my Wife's birthday. Some great pubs within a 5 minute walk
The bed a little soft for our liking, and the bathroom door needs oiling
We always worry a little re parking, no problem last time, but just over a year ago we could not park straight away after a long journey
Will definitely return to this hotel again. Everything was perfect, staff were all really friendly and polite and breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Our room had plenty of space and well presented. Perfect for a relaxing weekend.
Location very good being in centre of Harrogate for shops and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast, best sausages I have had for a long time.
Being an old building, the floorboards very squeaky, but only a minor problem - it didn't spoil our weekend.
The spaciousness of the hotel and room. The bathroom was huge. Friendly staff, and good facilities.
Location, Location, Location
drab interior, archaic bedroom, view from window into dirty external light well with brick wall about 6 feet from window!, poor decoration and finishes. House maid trolleys left around the main elevator lobby all morning, disinterested staff. I was told on 2 previous stays that refurbishment is underway - I think I will find somewhere else for a few years until they finish.
The welcoming fire in the reception area. The helpful staff. The settee in the bedroom, and that wonderful arched window overlooking the square. The breakfast was good. The complimentary bottle of wine was a great beginning to my husband's birthday celebration! Excellent value for money.
A minor detail - we only found the instructions for operating the bath and shower after a mishap with the hot tap.
I like this hotel as its right in the centre of harrogate. Stayed at this hotel many times now
I stayed in 227. It was very cold and noisy
Obviously an old building and the heavy winds were the cause of ageing windows rattling/banging through out the night.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. Great location, friendly helpful staff. Fantastic choice for breakfast.
Difficult to park. The room was cold and took a long time to warm up.
Great location; as a small group of friends this is probably our 15th stay at the crown. Progressively better each stay. Good value if you search for a deal.
Don't expect to be able to turn up with a car and park.
This is a hotel of old world elegance. We loved the location right next to Farrah's and Betty's. We were upgraded to a suite, which was wonderful! Breakfast was excellent and included in the room rate.
Although the WiFi is free, users have to get new user names and passwords from the front desk every day -- minor complaint.
The reception staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we required as we did ring up 24 hours prior to our visit with additional requests. Thank you.
location was perfect good value for money
people smoking at the front door and limited parking
