Close to town shops / facilities Room dingy and basic for the money. I had fond memories of this hotel from stopping here 15 years ago. Breakfast facilities have deteriorated since then. |

The staff were lovely although one in particular was not efficient. I think the Crown is 'resting on its Laurels' ie. past grandeur. Rather shabby now particularly for its location. We expect more these days. There should be provision for smokers too. I encountered disgruntled smokers standing in the rain outside entrances. Not a good advert for you. |

Well situated elegant old hotel , unfotunately suffers from inadequate car parking and proximity to vodka bar ! |

The size of the hotel was deceptive, seemed smaller and more intimate. The room was clean and tidy, shame about the dated wardrobe, bathroom was lovely and sympathetically decorated. Continental breakfast was great with plenty of choice of fresh pastries. Lovely staff, beautiful communal areas. Very convenient for the town, shame not more parking available. Will be back for a weekend break with my partner. The cooked breakfast was disappointing, no choice of egg, rubber scrambled eggs and undercooked(for my taste) bacon. Room was quite hot in November, and I feel the cold! |

Very spacious room with large bathroom . Comfy beds. Wide selection of food at breakfast. Spacious breakfast room. excellent location for town centre and rail/bus stations. chest of draws would have been nice for underwear /small items etc. Extra shelving in the bathroom for toiletries etc. Wider selection of food and prices in the restaurant . Parking got a bit difficult at the weekend, when the hotel was fully booked. |

very close to town centre i was told the room would be available at 3pm on my confirmation form but on arriving at 3pm i was advised i would have to wait another 30 minutes as the room was not ready which was to me valuable shopping time |

That we got it for £10.00 All of the night staff were foreign and did not speak good english. when i asked for a pernod the gave me a glass of pinot grigio. My friends paid full price for their room and when we went down for breakfast there were no clean tables and we had to use a table for 8. We were given 1 luke warm pot of tea between us. the toast was cold and floppy, there was no milk in the urn for cereal and hardly any staff on so we could not ask for any. we were never offered ant more tea. |

Attentive, but unintrusive staff, always willing to answer questions. Excellent food both for dinner and breakfast. Lack of off street parking, but given the location this is understandable. Will try to arrive earlier in future!!!! |

The ambience was excellent; staff very pleasant & obliging.Food was very good, too.We would stay here again when in Harrogate We were in room 145. There was an incessant (24 hours) noise from a boiler house (?) outside which didn't help sleep. Also security lights were on all night outside, too, In your safety rules you suggest putting on the door chain & looking through the spy glass. ! Room 145 had neither |

We thought the location was good even though there is limited parking spaces. Couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel. We thought the hotel was in a good location because we were going to the international centre. The bed was abit bouncy and soft. |

Excellent secive from the staff. All were curteous and held genuine interest in both. Asking questions on your stay and listening to your answer. The hotel room had the lingering scent of stale smoke in the carpet, curtains and wallpaper. Wallpaper was badly stained by smoke and peeling off walls in places. Bathroom could have been cleaner- hair found in both bath and sink. Breakfast only served until 9.30. |
