The Crown Hotel  

The rooms are clean, bathroom looks very fresh and clean. Breakfast area is beautiful. Beds very comfortable. Lots of character with floors that creak a little and sash windows that rattle. Location is perfect for visiting Harrogate. Well equipped rooms that are spacious.

Bathroom floor needed hoovering as someone else's hair was in the corners. Someone had used the toilet and not flushed when I arrived. Some careful checking needed between guests leaving and new arrivals. Breakfast could do with real fruit salad.

Fantastic breakfast, very efficient staff, lovely decor , would definitely return.

Bedroom floor was squeaky but not really a problem.

All staff friendliness and approach to residents. Comfortable feel, location, space, bar and restaurant within.

Limited parking, I was lucky and obtained a space. Not much the hotel can do about this though.

The hotel lived up to the photos. Staff were very good, helpful and well trained. Would recommend

Fantastic hotel architecturally. Really impressed.

Asked for quiet room - it was until kitchen extractor fans went on at 6am....... Plus, no fried eggs.

Reception staff were very helpful & friendly.

Bed slopped in towards the middle, good job I slept with my husband, Man singing outside about midnight. Was the bottle of wine for us free of charge or would we have had to pay for it, if we did I'm glad we didn't drink it.

The hotel is well situated and car parking in front of hotel ia a bonus. The rooms were really big and clean the breakfast was excellent lots of choice and the breakfast dining room was beatiful.

The only complaint was that the floor boards creak really bad and I had a terrible night sleep continually woken by creaking floor boads

Lack of parking space. Rather old fashioned bedrooms and bathrooms, but otherwise quite comfortable.

First impressions were very nice of the hotel - the reception area was very grand and nicely presented

Excellent location

Lack of parking,there is room for 20 cars but this is a very large hotel and the car park was full,people were directed to nearest free road parking which was half a mile away and almost full also!

Very noisy from outside traffic. Broken window in bedroom which cannot have helped.

I liked the old look as the hotel is very old and it is nice that they havekept the original features as much as possible as it is so easy to modernise these places too much. Also it was right next to the town so easy walking to the shops and night life.

Every floor board creaks when you walk on them but hey the place is old so what can you expect i suppose.

The breakfast was good.

It was so hot could not open the window and could hear the guest in the next room through the air vent in the bathroom. They were being ill at the time which sort of had a knock on effect. Our bedroom faced a brick wall. For £135.00 not good value at all.

Great location , central to shops , bars and restaurants. Friendyl staff throughout the hotel. Comfortable and well stocked bar and very nice restaurant with a good choice.

friendly staff , nice big room with 2 arm chairs which is not always the case in some hotels. free wi fi very good choice at breakfast in both the hot and cold buffet, all good quality apart from the sliced bread for toasting yourself but this is pretty standard everywhere , we just happen to like decent quality bread !

not being able to park at the hotel.this was because the hotel was busy due to conferences etc and the carpark is fairly small for the size of the hotel. had to park about 10 minute walk away
