The building is really beautiful. Central location in Harrogate.

Food - bar menu overpriced for very small portions. A la carte menu looked impressive but the food was poorly cooked and bland.

Liked the location could walk into to the town centre

Superb large room and excellent quality breakfast. Very close proximity to Harrogate restaurants and bars is great.

Hotel generally seemed a bit "tired"

Perfect location for spending time in the centre of Harrogate. Impressive lobby. Fantastic room in which to have breakfast. Great choice for breakfast.

Location. Helpful staff. Breakfasts were well organised with efficient staff. Comfortable room & beds. Lifts. 'The Place' was very comfortable for drinks & meals.

Limited car parking. Creaky floorboards (although they add character). Difficult finding restaurants / pubs that did evening meals on a Sunday.

We stayed at the crown for our anniversary and was not dissapointed,the hotel is grand on the outside and inside,i had left a comment on thier facebook page that we were staying for our anniversary and they left a card in our room for us ,the reception area is stunning and staff were polite and helpful,the room had high ceilings and cornices and a beautiful bay window everything was clean and well maintained,the breakfast was amazing locally sourced produce and a beautiful room ,and very nice pastries,we ate in the place and it was very nice and good value too.the location could not have been better directly next to the pump room museum and a 2 mninutes from royal baths and 5 minutes from bettys,would highly recommend to anyone.

Several lightbulbs were not working in the room. Breakfast was in large room with high ceilings and was therefore quite noisy.

The location of The Crown is excellent for anyone wanting to visit Harrogate's well known tourist spots: Betty's, The Turkish Baths, all the shops and gardens are within easy walking distance.

The noisy floorboards meant it was impossible to get a good night's sleep: we were woken up at 6 A.M. on 2 mornings and 5.30 A.M. on the Sunday! The facilities in the room were uncared for (kettle faulty, tv reception very poor). Breakfast one morning was dried out, on another morning was virtually cold. There was no facility for reporting any of this and we didn't even get the customary "was everything alright with your stay?" when we checked out. Perhaps they're afraid to get feedback. This isn't a budget hotel, the public areas have the appearance of an up-market venue. It's the bedrooms and the dining room that let The Crown down.

The location is very good. The room was sufficient. The decor was good. Good housekeeping on the room.

There is not enough car parking space and having to move a car every three hours on the parking permit you supplied does not support relaxation and enjoyment. You can't have a drink, and you can't go far away on foot before having to return. Maybe get some better permits sorted with the council or sort parking space somewhere. Food at breakfast was ok. I think that there could be more selection of cold foods such as meats, more variety of dried fruits for cereals, better cereal choices, 2 toasters rather than queuing for one ( meaning that your food is cold on return to your table).

Rooms good size and in good order. Location excellent. Black Sheep ale in bistro bar!

On site parking is a bit of a problem. The menus are a bit unexciting in both the restaurant and bistro bar so ate somewhere else both nights.

Efficient reception, booking in and out. Car parking for a blue badge holder v good. Central location. Good value for money.

Quality of food in bistro poor, not hot and the side salad was very tired and more like a garnish. Our room (252) was very nice but too hot at night and our duvets were 10.5 tog. We had to take the duvets out of their cases and sleep just using the duvet cases.
