Modern room Comfy bed Excellent restaurant Village location
Be prepared for limited parking space
The décor and location
Poor mattress and pillows, no blind at the bathroom window and very hot room.
Location, staff, Adnams Beer, relaxed style, food, all in all very nice and would return or recommend.
India in particular was superb with welcoming us to the Hotel - her manner and overall enthusiasm was absolutely excellent !
Room very warm on hot day - although we were given the use of an electric fan to the Hotel's credit.
clean,tidy and polite staffs
a bit noise at night due to talking outside opening area during night time
Friendly Clean Great facilities
I loved Framlingham and this hotel. I attended a wedding and stayed in the hotel. It has so much olde world charm yet the facilities meet all modern requirements. It is centrally located and you really feel like part of the community as families visit the bar and restaurant usually with a pet dog! Great room and breakfast and all staff were so attentive.
quirky decoration helpful staff
small car park
problems in kitchen weren't disclosed until after we had eaten, the menu was very limited and food disappointing. Breakfast was also poor, you shouldn't have to ask for bread with kippers, a whole slice would have been generous.
Friendly Staff, Keen to please. Chef inspirational
Some queer pictures
At the centre of a charming town. Nice rooms, good restaurant.
No 'healthy options' at breakfast, ok if you want a cooked breakfast but no fruit or yoghurt There's a £10 surcharge if you want to borrow wine glasses!!
We enjoyed our stay and the staff are excellent and I would recommended to anyone.
Having to leave
Everything was really lovely. Warm welcome, lovely staff. The food was great. Breakfast delicious and dinner was fab. We were late for dinner on one occasion but were served courteously .
No complaints atall
Room to sit peacefully and read the newspaper Delicious food
Modern look and feel, within a very old building
Noise from bar, windows had to be open because of tempature
service and food
Street lights outside affected our sleep in the deluxe 4 poster room!
The location was excellent and the room and bathroom nicely decorated
We ate in the restaurant and the food was beautiful but the wait between courses was a little too long
Everything it was a great place to stay loved the castle and church I nthe town we would recommend
the welcome, the room, the food
The food was quite good for both breakfast and dinner
The room was too small,as was the television. The bath needed grab handles for oldies like us.Did not like being woken up by the fire alarm with no official exclamation as to why it went off.The room could be improved with air con.
great service, good food, nice staff
Poor Sunday evening menu
Staff were truly lovely. Young, friendly, attentive and efficient. Good beers.Food was really lovely. Small and imaginative menu. The smoked haddock scotch egg amazing and the little mushroom and leek tart full of interesting mushrooms and excellent pastry.
Kitchen fan was below our room (Room 4) Very noisy Also half net would be nice for more privacy, as felt we were overlooked by rooms opposite and beer garden below
The room was a good size and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom roomy and well appointed. Good provision of tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water. Excellent breakfast.
It was a humid night and we had two windows in the bedroom, bith of which opened but immediately there was a roof from the building in front of our room so there was absolutely no view and little chance of much air circulation. There was no mobile phone connection possible in the room and although internet is advertised throughout the hotel, in our room it was barely present and we were not able to achieve some things that were quite important. Given the above the price of £100 for the night was rather excessive.
Very friendly and helpful staff. An excellent evening meal and great breakfast. The room and ensuite bathroom were large and clean. The provision of an electric fan went some way to offset the lack of air-conditioning.
Unfortunately the weather was extremely hot and humid and the room was already very hot on our arrival. We had no choice but to sleep with the window open and the noise from the kitchen extractor and people talking in the courtyard resulted in a restless night. At this room price (£130) I would have expected air-conditioning.
A funky, eclectic feel to the decor made this old coaching inn feel fresh and contemporary. This combined with a clean room and an excellent breakfast to make for an excellent stay!
