The cozy Crown Hotel is located only 6 miles from Heathrow Airport, 5 minutes from Thorpe Park, and close to many local attractions. It has a warm and traditional decoration, and offers free wireless internet and free parking on site. The 49 bedrooms are all air-conditioned and nicely decorated. Large bedroom. Very good indeed. 1) The room was dark. Lighting in it was inadequate for reading. Entering the darkish room (5pm) and even though the foyer-area switch was near the bedroom door we had to search for the nearest switch to illuminate the room as a whole. 2) The noise from other guests on the patio (after 11pm) was disturbing so we had to close the window. The room was then far too hot - OK there was a fan but it was noisy. 3) Shower pressure was very poor indeed and shower was never hot enough.

Perfect location for my business/ work/ customers etc There was no hot water coming through on the shower, and the shower was not like a power shower, gave up in the end waiting for the water to come through warm,

The staff, particularly the lady on reception on check-in who was so thoughtful, gracious and accommodating when I asked if a double room was possible (instead of twin) as I had booked to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were given one of the feature rooms 'as a treat' and it really made the evening. Breakfast was good. All staff were helpful.Thank you. Breakfast is served at 7.00 am earliest on a weekday and just half an hour would make a big difference for commuting. The water from the tap in the bathroom could do with checking out as there was an odd smell.

The crown pub had a friendly atmosphere! Breakfast was very good! We booked a superior double and only had a standard double! The room had a damp smell! Bed was uncomfortable and the pillows Were awful!

The breakfast was nice. We did not get what we booked. We booked a suite and was initailly given a twin room, when we complained we then got a normal double and was told it was a suite, but for the inconvenience would get a reduced rate. We were charged the rate for a double. The next morning we confirmed with the new receptionist that our room was a normal double. Therefore we were lied to the previous evening when checking in. We will not be staying here again, and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone we know. We don't mind being accommodating but we hate being lied to.

Excellent town centre location(but not noisy) and within easy reach of tourist spots. Very good bar, lounge and dining facilities and we were lucky enough to be there when talented live group was performing, which was a bonus. At £76 for the room and a full English breakfast, we thought it was excellent value for money.

Lovely big room well furnished and comfortable. Great beds. And the staff were very friendly and helpful - tho' it is not a 10 min walk to thorpe park!!! More like half an hour, and we are fast walkers. I would recommend a bus.would definitley stay again,and recommend it.

The staff were very friendly & helpful, the room was clean and spacious. It was a lovely place to stay. We definitely would recommend this hotel to others, and will definitely go back again. Thorpe Park is very close by and easy to get to from this hotel!!

Made to feel very welcome. Helpful in reguard to early request to register two other members of the party earlier than the 2.00pm time. Sunday morning breakfast staff did not appear to be all that interested in the requirementsof guests:- twice we had to go out to ask for coffee and the plates when finished with, we had to find somewhere to put them offf of the table. However in general I have no complaints of this hotel and would recommend to anyone going to this area.
