The staff were reasonably pleasant and friendly.

- Terrible bed. The matress had no support and collapsed as far as the box spring. - The TV and remote did not work even after asking the front desk to check on it. - The restaurant was dirty and disgusting. Food was not provided on time, found a hair in the orange juice pitcher, condiment bottles on the tables were crusty and dirty, SAW GUM ON THE CEILING. YUCK!! - Could not get an invoice or receipt for my stay at check-out due to the computer system being down.

Our room was in the new annex and although designed as a disabled room it was exceptionally good. The standard of decor and quality of furnishing was excellent. In spite of facing the street at pavement level the room was quiet and we had a very good nights sleep. The reception staff both on arrival and check out were very good as were the barstaff. The hotel has a nice atmosphere and has a lively clientel on a Saturday night with live musice in the bar. We would stay here again.

This is not a complaint merely an observation.The breakfast was a let down and the staff were not very proactive. Three tables had wobly legs sending tea spilling onto the tables. Eggs came one way whether poached or fried...well done not a runny egg to be seen. Sausage was good but toast was like door steps and no one informed that toast was in another room and you make your own. Just small things that can easily be put right

Friendly reception staff, good location and good parking. Comfy beds.

£95 per night was excessive for the standard of hotel. The decor was dated and shabby, with put-you-up beds in the corredoor etc. My room was next to a cleaning cupboard which wasn't nice. They've obviously tried to go for Olde world but have not achieved this but have achieved the look of a run down hotel that needs attendtion.

Beer in bar a tad expensive.

The staff, particularly the lady on reception on check-in who was so thoughtful, gracious and accommodating when I asked if a double room was possible (instead of twin) as I had booked to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were given one of the feature rooms 'as a treat' and it really made the evening. Breakfast was good. All staff were helpful.Thank you.

Breakfast is served at 7.00 am earliest on a weekday and just half an hour would make a big difference for commuting. The water from the tap in the bathroom could do with checking out as there was an odd smell.

The crown pub had a friendly atmosphere! Breakfast was very good!

We booked a superior double and only had a standard double! The room had a damp smell! Bed was uncomfortable and the pillows Were awful!

Lovely big room well furnished and comfortable. Great beds. And the staff were very friendly and helpful - tho' it is not a 10 min walk to thorpe park!!! More like half an hour, and we are fast walkers. I would recommend a bus.would definitley stay again,and recommend it.

Service was very good and the rooms were very very clean with a very comfortable bed.

Made to feel very welcome. Helpful in reguard to early request to register two other members of the party earlier than the 2.00pm time.

Sunday morning breakfast staff did not appear to be all that interested in the requirementsof guests:- twice we had to go out to ask for coffee and the plates when finished with, we had to find somewhere to put them offf of the table. However in general I have no complaints of this hotel and would recommend to anyone going to this area.

Staff were quite helpful concerning dietary issues.

The toilet was dirty and unflushed on arrival and there was a stained towel over the bath.

The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and unimposing and the room very comfortable and clean. We stayed for just one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. Another wedding party was also at the hotel as the reception took place there for that group. The staff coped very well although breakfast the following morning was a bit chaotic. We had to wait several times for dishes to be topped up at the self serve counter but understandable under the circumstances.
