Find better inside the m25, I doubt you will, staff excellent, food just so good, rooms very quiet, good wines and beers, and bar is well staffed by attentive people. Will stop again for sure.

The staff and especially the assisstant manager were great. I thought I may arrive after their check-in time but that wasn't a problem. I have one hand out of action which makes eating a problem in so much as I cant hold a knife and fork, cant butter toast etc but a message was left for the breakfast staff and they couldn't have been more helpful without making a big fuss about it. The room was clean, tidy and had a modern look. The room had every facility needed from kettle to trouser press with ironing board. Wi-fi was available at a small cost. The public areas were all as clean and pleasant as the rooms. There is a lift for disabled and wheelchair users. The dining room is modern and has a good selection of meals and was great. Large bar area with those friendly staff again and was obviously popular with the locals. I would recomend the Crown Inn to anyone wanting to stay in that area or visiting London. It is only a 20min train ride from Chislehurst to Charing Cross.

i stayed with my daughter as she had an audition for bird college in nearby sidcup, our room was lovely, very clean, spacious, well maintained, bathroom nice size, shower very powerful and plenty of hot water.we arrived fairly late and the pub was in full swing, but the staff were attentive, sorting us out with a drink and taking up our luggage. we also ate in the restaurant and our food was lovely, despite some of the negative comments that i have seen posted, i wanted to make my own decision about this place and i wasn't disappointed.i would definately stay here again. there were only two small things that are negative, one is that we didn't get to spend longer here to see more of the area, and try the breakfast, ... and also please do something about the little crow that woke us up at 5 in the morning,... we had left the window open slightly and this little fellow sat on the chimney of the house next door and made his prescence known quite loudly and constantly for about two hours, til we got up. oh the joy of nature. seriously nothing negative to say,.

Nice place on the common with no noise, so you get a great nights sleep. Breakfast cooked for you and not on hot plates and best cup of tea I have had at a hotel for a long time.

Excellant pub hotel, very nice bar and restaurant area. Ordered food, very good quality and a good price. Excellant staff, helpful no end. Very nice room, en-suite facilites excellant and a good comfortable bed.overall 9/10. The web site made it seem that we would be having the luxury room with the individual bath with feet. We did not, which was mis-leading. We still enjoyed our stay tho. the wood pecker banging away in a tree on the common! lol

The room was spacious, double room and large bathroom, with bath and shower, extra's available in the rooms if you've forgotten anythin e.g. toothbrush pack. nice decor in room, and clean (apart from the spoons). A well presented pub/restaurant Staff were friendly, the food was good well presented and cooked to perfection, breakfast was superb. (evening meal overheard one couple booking the same table again for the following week as enjoyed their meal so much with compliments to the chef best steak they'd had anywhere). If in that area again I'd definitely book to stay there again. The price of the large glass of wine £7.80 I nearly fell through the floor, didn't have another far too expensive but it was a very good wine really enjoyed it. A couple of loose bits shower head nearly flooded the bathroom but was okay once straightened up. Also spoons in room could have been a little cleaner some residue after coffee, I always wash them before using anyway to make sure.

Friendly service. Comfortable bed. Good restaurant on site (did not try through) Room rather dark with only small window. Sure the full breakfast from 7.30pm is very good, but the earlier alternative is a disappointing take away box - plus a sainsburys basic juice drink. Internet access is an extra charge. Noise from fellow guests, but that a common problem in all hotels. Bathroom a little tired.

The friendly reception as we arrived. The efficiency of staff and the eagerness to please the customer. Restaurant staff were pleasant and friendly being most helpful. The car park is a little cramped.

A lovely room! (Room 1) with a view over the common from both the bedroom and the bathroom. A friendly welcome from the landlady was a good start. Adequate although not stunning breakfast. The real ale! The reluctance on the part of the barman to change the barrel when it clearly needed it! The fact that he pulled a miniscule amount of the new barrel before serving us our drinks.

Friendly staff, good location and a quiet and comfortable room. The bathroom was modern and the shower powerful. Although we did not eat in the pub on this occasion, the restaurant was full and the cooked breakfast was of a high standard. We will definitely stay again.

The room was spaciuos, nice bathroom with hot tub, everything was clean and it was a good mix of new forniture and appliances in traditional British decorated room. I really liked it. In the morning i had to leave before the breakfast was supposed to be served, and the hotel staff prepared a take aways breakfast box for me and they left it in front of my room, very kind of them.

We have stayed at this hotel before so knew what to expect the room was yet again to a very high standard only a couple of niggles with it but was asked on the morning of checkout so was able to advise them of it. The ability to come into the hotel late at night with a pass key. The very friendly staff. The room was stocked fantastically with toiletries and drinks facilities - water included this time also... great Breakfast staff are very slow and not very "on the ball" had to ask for a refill of coffee - breakfast can be very slow to come out as well and at the time we were the only ones in the restaurant for breakfast. Not a huge choice of cold breakfast items. Didnt realise that my bedside lamp bulb had gone until we came back in the evening and the pub was all shut - the light in the wardrobe also didnt work - just need to check these couple of things when cleaning. We had a huge bed in our room but unfortunately the duvet doesnt go over the side of the bed so you find yourself battling for duvet with your other half... These are the only little niggles that we had but I would fully recommend this hotel and its comforts to anyone....
