Cheerful atmosphere, helpful bar staff. The fact that I was not able to have breakfast on the Saturday morning because I had to leave by 8.30am and the offer of a packed breakfast was not satisfactory as I was driving to take an examination. Even though I suggested that there should be some recompense nothing was offered.

Clean room The price it is a nice b &B it is not a hotel. I did not like checking in at the bar. As a solo female traveller that can be unsettling. The room was quoted at £100 per night. They attempted to charge me£110 per night. The room was only worth £70 at the very most. The bed was uncomfortable and pillows rock hard. The waiter working breakfast was unattentive and my order needed to be repeated several times, I noticed nobody was asked would they like toast. The "buffet" fruit selection consisted of one sliced pineapple and a few apples. The juice selection was poor. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs both mornings. The eggs were watery and peppered with fish bones it was tasteless. The evening menu on paper looks good. On my first evening I ate bar food it was a little greasy. The second evening I ate from the specials menu. The scallop and chorizo starter was a waste of perfectly good seafood, the guacamole purée tasted like wall paper paste and the chorizo overpower the scallops. My main course of wild mushroom and ricotta roulade tasted like a value Swiss roll. It had a gelatinous texture and zero flavour. Dessert was bread and butter pudding it was hard around the edges not crispy but hard like it had too long in a micro wave and the custard was powdery and ala packet. The wine was nice and service in both evenings excellent they might get the evening staff to train the morning staff. I won't be back.

Only one very small complaint is that the bed was a little broken as it was leaning to one side.

Our 2nd stay here. We enjoy being close to Chislehurst Common and shops, with a lovely view over the common. Welcoming hosts and friendly staff. Good food, excellent breakfast, and everything provided in the bathroom which is great.

the staff were really friendly. Quick and easy check in and check out. the room was beautifully designed and the bathroom was lovely. the pub downstairs was good value for money. good location and near the high streets The bed we were in was extremely uncomfortable. On one side, the bed had a big dip and I didn't sleep well because of it. The pillows were too low and there was only one pillow per person. The carpet looked really dull and musky and dirty. Dropped something down the side of the bed and as I reached down to pick it up, my hand went through a huge spider web. Wasn't a pleasant experience!

We stayed on a Sunday night and The Crown Inn does not do evening meals on a Sunday. The staff provided information on a range of eating opportunities within the locality. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Although this is obviously a pub as well, the bar area is also family friendly in the afternoons.

Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Although not the hotel's fault, the building opposite was playing very loud music until 3am. Hotel had no night service to complain to so left very left alone (emergency numbers were out of date)
