The Crown InnSchool Road,, BR7 5PG Chislehurst (Show map) Very good, Score from 61 reviews“The area that the Crown Inn is located is very quiet and has great views over the common, yet close enough to the rest of Chislehurst to stroll in for the shops and restaurants, etc. We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay. Couldn't find fault with anything; helpful staff, clean room, decent breakfast (no cheap sausages!), comfortable bed.”

Newton St Cyres, Exeter
Just 1 mile from Chislehurst Railway Station, the Crown Inn has a bar, restaurant and modern en suite rooms. Many rooms have beautiful views of Chislehurst Common. Bedrooms at the Crown Inn all have a TV and an en suite bathroom with a shower and bath. All have modern, natural decor and some have work desks or seating areas. The restaurant serves classic dishes including a Sunday roast. The bar offers local Kentish ales and New World wines as well as light meals and snacks. Chislehurst Caves, which extend for nearly 20 miles, are just 1 mile from the Crown. The Chislehurst Cricket Ground, which has been in use for almost 200 years, is a 10-minute walk away. London city centre is accessible by train or less than an hour’s drive. The M25 and M20 motorways are 15 minutes away. Hotel Rooms: 7, Hotel Chain: Shepherd Neame.

Find better inside the m25, I doubt you will, staff excellent, food just so good, rooms very quiet, good wines and beers, and bar is well staffed by attentive people. Will stop again for sure.

The staff and especially the assisstant manager were great. I thought I may arrive after their check-in time but that wasn't a problem. I have one hand out of action which makes eating a problem in so much as I cant hold a knife and fork, cant butter toast etc but a message was left for the breakfast staff and they couldn't have been more helpful without making a big fuss about it. The room was clean, tidy and had a modern look. The room had every facility needed from kettle to trouser press with ironing board. Wi-fi was available at a small cost. The public areas were all as clean and pleasant as the rooms. There is a lift for disabled and wheelchair users. The dining room is modern and has a good selection of meals and was great. Large bar area with those friendly staff again and was obviously popular with the locals. I would recomend the Crown Inn to anyone wanting to stay in that area or visiting London. It is only a 20min train ride from Chislehurst to Charing Cross.

Bedroom walls are thin so could here the guy in the next rooms telly all night! Internet is charged at £6 for an hour and a half, but you can log on for free if you have a btinternet account. Shower was very hot and couldn't be turned cooler. Breakfast was good. Overall-average.

We had a long drive from the Dorset coast to attend a funeral and the Crown Inn Chislehurst were most accommdoating in allowing us access to our room at 11.30 (although check-in is 14.00) in order to change from our casual wear into more suitable attire. The room was prepared speedily and was warm and welcoming. We had an enjoyable evening meal and thought the atmosphere of the Inn was warm and friendly. We had a twin bedroom overlooking the Common and had an excellent night's sleep. All the rooms have been refurbished in the last 2 years we understand and contain everything one requires, including trouser press which doubles as an ironing board, along with iron. Flat screen TV's and complimentary tray of tea, biscuits etc. Will stay again.

Downstairs is a busy village pub, but there is no disturbance upstairs from the noise in the bar. The bedroom was delightful and was clean and fresh. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. The dial on the shower (room 4) was very hard to turn. Otherwise no problems.

Excellent breakfast! Room was comfortable & bathroom spacious with good shower. Very pleasant member of staff who served us breakfast...nothing was too much trouble. Had a room at back of hotel and, therefore, no view of the common & near to hum of a generator which slightly disturbed my sleep. I'm sure a room with a view of the common would have been much nicer.

Check-in was quick and efficient. We were shown to our room, which was excellent, absolutely spotless, modern, fully equipped with tea/coffee making, iron, hairdryer, trouser press, etc. It was spacious, warm and the ensuite was also spotless, modern and warm. We did not eat there but breakfast the next morning was excellent, with choice of continental or full English, cereal, toast etc. All very well cooked and piping hot. Staff were very attentive with continuous supplies of toast and drinks. Overall, an excellent hotel which we would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

The size of the room, the locality for family wedding, ease of parking, breakfast was lovely and the friendly feel. The room did get warm during the night and the duvet was thick for the time of year, a sheet would have been sufficent.

“I was made to feel at home in the hotel. It is well-appointed, has good parking, and is close to Bromley and London. My room was clean and comfortable. The public areas offer good opportunities for working, meeting friends or colleagues and for relaxation. Breakfasts are good and food and drinks reasonably-priced. I would not hesitate to stay at the Bromley Court Hotel again.” Martin, Sandweiler |
