The Riviera Hotel has a peaceful location, looking out over the trees of Alum Chine to the bay.
Score from 656 reviews Very good
Good location, very friendly staff, excellent food. Very enjoyable stay.
Hard bed !
Even though we booked this hotel as an offer on the internet the bedrooms were excellent and we would love to visit again. A big plus also for us was that they accepted our medium sized, exceptionally well behaved rough collie for the night and we were delighted about this. The meals were also excellent.
news paper was offer and no price mentioned . However when I check out I was charged !!!
Location Breakfast Staff Overall ambiance On the whole and for the price we paid it was good but...........!!
Shower very poor Bed comfort poor Gym, sauna and pool facilities need investment Had we been staying more than two nights we would have been forced to complain about the bed and shower. The gym etc is just down to whether they really want to provide these or not. To invest or just always be marked down for not doing so. Maybe then we wouldn't get the good deals??!!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, beautiful hotel will definitely be back
Location, hotel décor, excellent breakfast, dinner, friendly and helpful staff.
There was nothing to dislike.
Bed extremely comfortable and room quiet and nice and dark. Downstairs rooms very plush. All staff extremely helpful and pleasant.
Bathroom shoddy, paint flaking, shower difficult to control. Lighting in lounges and bedrooms poor. Twin beds pushed together so only one bedside cabinet and bedside lighting useless as it was a spotlight in ceiling.
Excellent food in restaurant Helpful and welcoming staff Great Art Deco feel
Sadly water in shower was cold despite letting it run for some time.
Staff were very friendly and polite. The room was lovely with a balcony & sea view. We chose to have an evening meal from the tradition menu which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The free WiFi kept dropping out so it was impossible to sustain any internet connection.
the restaurant food and staff very good. staff of the pleasant and professional.
The room was very small the view awful. the furniture in the room shabby and poor quality.
Friendly Staff, nothing was to much trouble, good breakfast. very comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again
The noise of the Housekeeping staff in the corridors spoilt a relaxing afternoon. Please offer other coffee besides awful cosco.
Sea view room specious and stylish
Bathroom small and dated
the staff, the building, the food
the bed had springs out and the tv was so high, the screen went black
Reception staff were fantastic in making everything posible
the price and the view.
Cold water wassnt very cold. the gym in the sister hotel was very cluttered and untidy and Sauna not hot
Location, ambience, entertainment, Art Deco, sea view from room.
Noise after one in the morning from room above room 108
I couldn't fault this hotel. The food was really good and I loved the brasserie. My chickenceaser salad was not slimming but to die for. As a solo quest, there is a two course deal plus a Costa coffee of your choice for £15!! A 3 star hotel but with 4star service and food.
Hanging space in the wardrobe ok for a man's clothes but not for a lady's. But not a major problem.
Everything especially the breakfast.
Friendliness, cleanliness and old charm
Style and position
The hotel is spoilt by its bathrooms which need upgrading.
Really helpful staff from the outset. Lovely & extensive choices for breakfast. Good on-site parking. Beautifully-maintained room which was a pleasure to return to. Good value for money. We will be back again!
the size of the room, the sea view, the friendly staff
in our room the ceiling had a damp patch
Location was perfect a short stroll to the beach, peir and town centre. Resturant was great and great service. The hotel was very comfortable and the room was perfect for 2 adults and a young child.
The attitude of the staff member who said there had been complaints about my parking. My vehicle was parked within the car parking lines and there were no other spaces available. The situation was handled in a very poor way and i was left to find my own parking.
