Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.
Score from 1904 reviews Good
In a quiet part of East Cliff, this clean, friendly hotel is just a short stroll from Bournemouth's beaches and town centre. It has spacious rooms, a restaurant, a vibrant bar and free parking.
Score from 1400 reviews Very good
Centrally located on Bournemouth's West Cliff, the 4-star Connaught Lodge is just 300 metres from the cliffs tops and 5 minutes' walk from the BIC, Pavilion, and the thriving town centre.
Score from 604 reviews Very good
Just a few hundred metres from Bournemouth's sandy beaches, The Queens Hotel has spacious, traditional rooms. There is a relaxing pool and spa, a gym and an award-winning restaurant.

Reception was efficient and informative. Room was on the fourth floor and quiet Overall the room was clean and airy. The breakfast which was buffet style was very nice. I didn't use any of the other facilities but the ambience of the hotel is very relaxed.
My bed was uncomfortable. The shower connected to a mixer tap on the bath was quite difficult to regulate to a comfortable temperature.
We loved the view and the room were very happy with the sea biew room and would reccomed the room to everyone .
Everything about the whole break.
Overnight stay with family. Location good only 15 minutes walk along seafront to BIC where we attended a show. Character hotel, lots of bling especially as it was the Christmas season. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had three rooms on top floor with sea view which was great. Food was very good. We had evening meal and breakfast both tasty and plentiful.
Rooms a little tired and decor a bit of a mesh mash of styles. Plumbing quirky, pressure not very good and water slow to drain away.
Friendly and professional staff
Quality and quantity of room refreshments was poor for a hotel of this quality
Lovely location & room looking over the sea, good size room too. Reception staff on arrival extremely welcoming, Xmas decorations in the hotel fabulous. Breakfast was good.
Noise - Xmas parties going on which was fine but on returning to their rooms afterwards it was very noisy & then the couple in the room next door gave an hour long vocal display on how much they were enjoying the bed! I didn't get much sleep unfortunately.
Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely food and a very enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Our room was initially on the first floor and a bit on the small side. However in the evening it became apparent we were above the function room and due to very loud music, we had to move rooms. The staff were very accommodating and we were given a much nicer and bigger room on the fourth floor on the other side of the hotel.
Restaurant facilities and food very good and reasonably priced when taking advantage of weekday and out of season offers. Good seafront location, although seaview at extra cost. close to Bournmouth centre but far enough out to be peaceful.
shower was too hot and wouldn't adjust.
the staff the hotel is a very friendly place to visit and the standard is very high for a tree star
being disturbed by inconsiderate people who have no manners, or consideration for others. not the hotels fault
Staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful. Price. Within walking distance of BIC. Restaurant was comfortable and food was good value.
Small lift. Busy car park.
The theme and decore
bathroom was a little bit tired and could do with a refurb
Location, style & atmosphere all great. Food in the grand ventana fantastic
Only stayed for a night!
Room was too hot, restricted temperature control. Windows open or closed
Bed was the most comfortable I have ever stayed in; even better than premiere inn beds. Breakfast perfect and staff so friendly
Large bathroom and reasonable size room. Very helpful and friendly staff, who went out of their way to accommodate our requirements. Good location and views. Food was plentiful and of a good price.
Parking was a bit of an issue and in high season must be problematic. Even though we were on the fourth floor, the disco was loud and kept us awake.
all very good
ground floor very nice breakfast a1
room 413 very basic and only one radiator working which made it very cold we had friends staying on the 2nd floor overlooking the sea and their room was far supperior and paid a lot less money than we did
Every one of the staff was helpful and friendly and made us very welcome.
This is a three star hotel. Really it is almost four star
Friendly staff Art Deco style of hotel Free parking and wifi Clean and comfortable Good breakfast Used the indoor pool of sister hotel next door.
Double room was smaller than expected...looked a lot bigger in the pictures. Indoor pool was a bit small for proper lane swimming but good enough to lounge around for those on holiday.
Comfortable extra large king sized bed! Very friendly reception staff.
Shower was poor, water pressure not good and was unable to control temperature.
Everything was excellent all round
Maybe not enough spaces in the car park but I managed to get parked
We ve stayed here before several times and do so when special offers come up this makes it a very good value for money ,weekend away break .
Sometimes it can be a bit noisy as the floorboards sbove can be quite creaky .. The best way round that , is to stay on the top floor which i think is the Fourth floor , the view is better as well if you get a sea view .
beautiful dining area, excellent food selection at buffet breakfast.
no toiletries provided other than basic liquid soap (no shampoo, body lotion, shower caps, facial tissues.
I just like the feel of this hotel - I've stayed here a few times now and it's always welcoming and good value for money. I've stayed in different rooms and they have all been clean and comfortable. This time there were Christmas parties going on so it was very lively but my room on the top floor was quiet. Plus it's so well located.
