Le personnel du bar et du restaurant Chambre au dessus des cuisines, ça sentait la friture dans la chambre (n°201). Chauffage de la chambre trop trop fort! Le personnel de l'acceuil ,'a pas fait d'effort pour ralentir le flux de la conversation alors qu'il voyait trés bien que je ne suivais pas et ce malgré le fait que je leur ais demendé de parler moins. |

1St floor sea view room large and very clean Food on offer at breakfast excellent.Evening meals taken in the bar were of great quality.Xmas decorations in the art deco public areas were very tastefully installed..Staff at all levels were polite and very helpful My wife and I would rate the hotel 10 out of 10 during our three night stay |

Great Art Deco ambience in public areas, many bedrooms also redecorated in this style. Good sized twin/double rooms, even when booked as a single. Great breakfast, hot and cold. Free wifi in bar. Wifi not available in bedrooms. Creaky floorboards and occasional noise from adjacent rooms - probably thin walls and ceilings under the decor. Occasional lapses in cleaning (one of two soap dispensers missing on previous stay. Missing pillowcase, dust on bathroom shelf, Room 404, night of 26/11/2009, reported at reception). Christmas music at breakfast in mid-November. |

Great staff, lovely lounge and bar, location is excellent. We paid a low fare and were allocated a sea view room. Couldnt ask for more Room was refurbished, however not to the highes standarts. But for the fee it was exceeding my expectations. |

Good bar food nad friendly professional staff, nice atmosphere, spacious room. In a superior sea view room I wouldn't expect to have an old fashioned TV and the bathroom could have been a higher standard. The bar food was excellent, I would have eaten in the restaurant if there had been an option to have less than 3 courses. |

a very pleasant stay the staff were very helpful and friendly. the food was excellent and the waiting staff first class.The public areas were extremely confortable and very attractive. Although staff did try to help, the towel rail in our bathroom did not get warm and to get hot water we had to run the taps in the bath and sink for quite some time. |

Location, comfortable lounge bar. Friendly staff, on the whole. Good bed. The bedroom was very small, and overlooked a scruffy flat roof covered in cigarette butts (despite it being a non-smoking hotel). While the bedroom was freshly and attractively decorated, the furniture (other than the bed) was a bit rickety and tired. The main problem was noise: the wall between the next room was so thin that we could clearly hear the lady next door unwrapping a biscuit (!), and the floorboards above so creaky that we could hear every step the people upstairs made. Plus, our room was apparently over the kitchen, so we were woken early by lots of shouting and clattering of crockery (at one point we were treated to a clip-clop-clip-clop demonstration of bowl horses!). A bit disappointing in a hotel with such aspirations. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful, always very pleasant with a willingness to assist and resolve any issue quickly and the beds were very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was lovely We had to be moved on the second night (of 3) as there was a party in the ballroom and the base was booming, the staff were brilliant and offered to move us straight away, showing us the room first. The second room was much nicer than the original, the third night we could hear loud music coming from somewhere else (posible the neighbour hotel)even though we were on the fourth floor - after I phoned reception at 12.50am this went off at 1am! Parking is limited considering the amount of rooms |

Hotel reception area was good,along with the bar and dining area.Had a good feel about the place.Boutique style about it,with a retro twist Front side of the hotel great,but the backside ie stairs,hallways,rooms,lift etc ugly and very very dated.Deluxe rooms very basic,basic TV's,bathrooms basic,with very poor head pressure on the showers.Old crosshead shower valves.Its time to spend some money guys!! |

From the check-in to check out the staff were excellent. The hotel is very stylish . The restaurant service was very good and the set menus excellent and execptional value Very small and slow lift only three people at a time, two with luggage. |

Bar staff excellent and also reception very helpful. Atmosphere in bar and eating/seating area and around it very good. Kings sized bed good. Downstairs is finished to a high standard but hallways upstairs and bedrooms cheaply finished and a little tatty with small things missing like bath tap centre piece. Lift only held 3 people which was difficult anyway - then the service life broke down and it was a really hassle to get a lift for the last day or so. Shower not great - needed proper shower head and wall fixing. |

sea view and boutique style - reminded us of hotel stayed in in Miami's Ocean Drive Lift old fashioned and corridors in need of redecoration. Food could be improved eg skate was overcooked and steak grisly and not best quality |

The reception areas, bar and dining areas were good. Breakfasts were excellent. We only had one evening meal, which was a set price three course dinner, and we enjoyed it very much. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom, and no blind to the bathroom window. The bed was effectively two 3 foot mattresses put together, and the bottom sheet was not really large enough to cover this, consequently we found the sheet becoming untucked and we were lying on the mattress. Also, no bedside lights meant that if one person wanted to read in bed they had to have the main light on. Finally, the lift only took 3 people at a time, which is very small for such a large hotel. We were on the fourth floor and frequently had to walk up four flights of stairs. |

Liked the decor of the hotel and the location was fantastic for visiting the beach and also to go into town. Waitress for breakfast was particularly miserable. Would of been nice to be greated with a smile!!! Cups were dirty too!!! |

The room my husband and I had was good with seaviews. However our friends stayed in a room on the same floor without a seaview and were kept awake all night by the heating pipes. |
