Love this place it's as simple as that !!
One very very small gripe !! Rooms are comfortable and have all that you need but some rooms do need upgrading ie. Bathroom and beds
We had a sea view room with a balcony, which was delightful, despite the wind and rain! The staff are so welcoming and professional, and the breakfasts - wonderful!! We can't wait to return!
Good food, both in choice and quality. Very convenient lift, enjoyed Elvis evening
Bathroom very basic, no gels, shampoos etc. room 204 needed very strong arm to flush. Light over beds poor.
The sun shinning unto our bedroom patio with sun loungers.
Art Deco style. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Bed too short for me personally.
(i) friendliness of the staff (ii) excellent breakfast (iii) good location
(i)Room was cold when we arrived. (ii) Door to en-suite did not shut (iii) Parking area barely adequate
Our double room on the top floor with a balcony had the most fantastic view of the whole stretch of coastline. Also all the staff, without exception, were attentive and friendly. The great choice at breakfast was brilliant.
5th time at this hotel nice rooms good food, 2for1 on main meals in bar restaurant, but not a lot of choice unless you like fish, main restaurant breakfast brilliant evening meals good. staff very helpful, bus stop right outside, so park up and forget the car, nice walk into town.
could not sit lounge area due to very poor seating most of the guests were elderly, the chairs were so low that neither I or my wife were able to sit in them as we found it impossible to get back up I wonder how many of the other thought the same. ended up sitting in our room most nights this
Bar and function areas were nice
It is noisy there was a wedding on and on check in they issue you with ear plugs which isn't great. Our room 109 was directly above the function room.
Food in hotel was excellent. One of the best fillet steaks I have had
Parking is first come first some and challenging. Park on the front just outside the hotel is £3 / day
Food was lovely. Staff very pleasant.
Bedroom had a unpleasant smell about it. Smelt of damp.
Lovely chic/trendy bar & great breakfast
Only down side was the bathroom could be refurbished
Breakfast was fab. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Bar and lounge area were great.
Pool and sauna at sister hotel were very poor.
£100 for a bottle of Jack Daniels kettle not working in room
The general ambiance of the hotel, friendly staff, excellent service and food and great value for money.
Ambiance of Hotel Food excellent Good value for money
Noise from the plant room outside our window a little disturbing Shower ran hot then cold
Liked the location, the cost, room.
Couldnt turn the heating off in bedroom
Location, reception staff, restaurant and bar
The price for the double room with breakfast included was fantastic so many choices and great food with such a comfortable big bed. And the facilities was fantastic to from swimming to the spa treatments definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again should be higher than 3 star.the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming to great atmosphere.
The only down fall was wifi as the connection wasn't great but That's understandable due to the account of use it would have at a time.
Stiking decor in the public areas wont be for everyones taste but bedrooms are more subtle.
All the seats in the lounge/bar are very low. I havent got mobility problems but too low for me.
This was our 5th stay at the Cumberland had a great time as always & the cocktails & afternoon tea were great
Location, Food, Helpful staff
Wifi did not exist even though they claim to have free WiFi. Bathroom had a strong smell of damp. No television signal when the wind is blowing.
In the room not fresh smell....
Very clean hotel, Balcony view was worth the extra fee and room size was more than enough (could have removed single bed as we was a couple staying). oh and the Ventana restaurant was well worth a try.
only comment I have, is the TV didn't have a good signal to watch any digital program.
Great location and fantastic views
