proximity to town
although dated was clean but the beds were awful we had no sleep because of the springs pushing up through the matress

basic rooms ,poor lighting rooms could do with some tlc
The staff are very friendly and helpful
Breakfast was fine. Staff did their best and were friendly and helpful. There was always hot water and the room was warm.
Room 31 is a triple room. There was no table lamp or wall light, just one central ceiling light. The bathroom ceiling was spotted with black marks which looked like mould. The shower curtain was badly stained, and the rail rusty. The towel rail fell off the wall. Ledges and surfaces were dusty.
Iv stayed here a few times over the years and seen improvements which are great
The unclean room
Staff were nice, we had a wicked time celebrating my birthday, now the lads wana come up every weekend from milton keynes for a weekend out!
Easy access for town
Noisy drunks in room next door

Spartan room and lighting. Pillows old and thin, even when two put together. Shower curtain needed cleaning or changing. No shower cream -just very small bar of soap. Room very fusty when we first entered.

Convenient location. Easy to find.
full of contract workers who were quite noisy no heating in the room, room very dingy and dark and very very basic. staff not very helpful when asking for bus timetables etc. "Cooked breakfast " I think had been heated up, disgusting! Toaster over di the toast it was black !
Shower curtain needs replacing other than than a clean fresh accommodation.

The location of Hotel was great, easy to find, my daughter and I arrived at a bout midnight, the night receptionist was bright, cheerful and helpful. Room simple but comfy. The price was perfect.Great value for money.
The pillows were pretty flat so had to bundle up the extra ones from the cupboard, the bathroom was a little aged.
Close to town and cheap
Needs money spending on the rooms
The hotel was on a good bus route into the city centre. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the bar prices were very good.
People coming home at 4am banging doors and drawers and having a full scale row shouting and swearing for a full hour a phone in the room would have been handy to contact reception.
Excellent value for money. Within walking distance of city centre or buses just outside for those who prefer not to walk. Plenty of parking space. Good breakfast.
Almost missed breakfast as we hadn't noticed the times displayed at reception and weren't made aware by reception staff. Suggest notice in rooms would be helpful
Cheap rooms and only 15 minutes from the centre of Chester. The room was clean and comfortable and staff are friendly. Ideal hotel if all you need is a room for the night.
The walls are quite thin and you can hear everything in the corridor but any noise settled down reasonably early. The hotel and facilities are basic.
The room door lock didn't work and they didn't know how to fix it.
