Great size room and the food in the restaurant was good
We had a room at the front and as it overlooked the road was noisy very early, needs better sound proofing, which is a pity as other than that the room is great.
Breakfast was a generous portion with good quality meat used
Clean and comfortable. Very friendly and efficient staff. Used this hotel and beginning and end of holiday to break up the long drive, but would consider using it for a short break to explore the local area.
Nothing to dislike.
Located in a quiet village. Quality of bedrooms is good with a massive comfortable bed. Good mead
I was in Room 21 and there was constant running water or rushing air at the side of my room which ran until about 11.30pm and was evident again when I awoke at 5.45am.
Very friendly sercvice
We only were able to stay one night, and wish we could have stayed longer. The room was very comfortable and quiet with updated amenities. We strolled the village before dinner and visited the town church. Dinner in the pub as well as breakfast the next morning were excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Worth a visit even if it's just for the restaurant, great menu, will be booking again soon !!
Nothing to add.
Size of rooms, location, friendly staff
Staff very friendly
What a lovely pub.We stayed in room 11 which overlooked the back. In the room they supplied extra pillow so You had a choice which was appreciated. The mattress was springy (not what I am used to) but nevertheless I got restful sleep. The Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly - what more can you want?
It was a hot night and would of appreciated a fan but understand it's probably a nicety and not a must have.
Staff were friendly and helpful - lovely surroundings and rooms very clean & tidy.
No phone signal (not their fault) i know
Super rooms, though a little dark, but very well furnished and very comfortable bed. Breakfast, included in price, was full of choice, good cooking, nice treat. Very good value for money, though felt like a nice class of hotel in a pub get-up!
Wonderful location for exploring the Garden of England. Great food.
No AC so room got rather stuffy.
Although a small hotel in a village, there was great attention to detail. the food was good too.
the staff "appeared to be too busy" they were lovely, but lacked that in control, professional hotel look about them. i would suggest a staff uniform too to make them feel a tad more professional. nothing bad just a suggestion. we wanted a taxi and was handed a scrap piece of paper with the number on it, what we think was the Manager did sort it out for us in the end (we had no phone signal) he was very accommodating but appeared to not empower the staff..........but hey it was all good.
Lovely location and the staff were very welcoming.
The place was nice and clean.
Being given the wrong room and people burping loudly under the window. The 2 bedrooms being very far from each other.
Excellent reception, solved problem with full apology and no fuss. Good breakfast Quiet location, big car park
The bar was open and included TV on the wall, pool table and (I think) dart board. I have nothing against these items, but somehow it detracted from the otherwise excellence
Rooms are beautiful.. Staff is very helpful.. Good food..
Nice quaint pub
Staff were very helpful
Excellent room, staff very friendly and helpful, very nice restaurant, very good food. I really liked the option of Marmite being available for you toast at breakfast.
There was nothing.
Parking facilities, restaurant/menu, breakfast. Helpful staff
I have stayed before and would again as its a lovely hote, however this time I was in room 21 which was next to a boiler which was noisy all night.
Room; facilities; location; friendliness of staff; quality of food.
Slightly overpriced for a 3 star, however we had a family room (double and two twin beds) for £100 for 1 night. At £50 per head, it just felt a bit expensive for what it was. But couldn't fault it and would definitely stay there again.
The staff and the room were excellent....real good value for money...would go there again.
I ordered a fillet steak but I'm not 100% sure it was fillet. Seemed more like a trimmed down rump to me but hay ho.
