The room was of good size and excellent standard. The hotel has taken the effort to make the room as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel. When I arrived it was the warmest day of the year and the radiators in the room were at full blast. If I had wanted to live in a sauna it would have been ideal, but as I wanted to sleep, I had to turn off the radiators and open the windows to cool the room down a bit. Not a big issue, but not sure why the heat was set so high.

Comfortable, good food.Breakfast menu quite outstanding. We had room 3 which was fine until a person above arrived and for an hour we had to suffer banging and creaking floorboards. Breakfast, table not properly cleared before it was given to us, had to ask for fresh butter as we were left with the mangled remains from previous user.

In the heart of a friendly village where locals make you feel welcome. Hotel was clean and cosy. Train station only short walk away. Nothing to not like was only an overnight stay but no negatives.

I very much liked the friendliness of the staff. A big smile is always the best welcome for a guest. Just a minor thing reallly, at the end of our breakfast. At this point the waitor told me I should pay an extra if I really wanted a boiled egg. As we hadn`t ordered any English nor Continental breakfast, I found this a bit over the line... This was probably not a last minute idea of the waitor but of course, as in so many cases, a stupid directive of the bloody management.

Lovely welcome, accommodating as our booking changed throughout the day. Good meal, helpful. Lovely rooms. Hot water took ages and pressure was poor. We'd walked 23 miles that day so it was a lIttle disappointing.

Loved this place. There isn't a lot to do in the village and it is quite quiet but me and my partner spent the night here as it was in my price range and in the distance that we needed to be for our visit the next day. The staff and the food was lovely and the service was great. I thought it was also great value for money. The breakfast that was included in the stay was amazing, really nice, one of the best places that I have ever stayed and would stay again if visiting Kent.

Food - good, well presented, good value. Decor - attractive, neutral colours, good quality furniture. Staff - pleasant, friendly, helpful. Location - ideal for our needs. On the whole - more good than bad Our bedroom had too much furniture which meant we were a little cramped. Our waste bins were not emptied each day, room cleaning seemed to cover only the minimum requirements.

Compared to travel inns, premier inns etc this type of hotel represent good value for money. Food was good and there was a large TV in the bar area showing football. The actual room although comforable was on the small side with a single bed. The bar area was too cold to be comfortabe.
