Smelt a bit musty
Clean, friendly & comfortable Hotel, with excellent variety on menu for breakfast.
I had to check in at a certain time but I got delayed resulting in me not arriving till very late I rang the hotel and a member of staff waited up and welcomed me with asmile and no one moaned at all
the hotel is a bit dated but the lovely staff compensates for that , iwould definatly reccomend
Nice lounge area and bar. Free Wi-Fi. Very good breakfast included.Clean and comfortable beds and quiet room.
Rather cramped bedroom and toilet.
Lovely staff Lovely comfortable room Brilliant location for the ferry and for pubs/ restaurants/ shops
The guests above were quite noisy and woke me up during the night talking and walking around- the walls are quite thin so its not ideal if youre a light sleeper
Polite & friendly staff... Breakfast was good Overall...good value for money & I would recommend the Dorset House
Beds are a bit old & creaky & if you need that "good nights sleep",,you may not get it. The shower was also temprimental
Brilliant hotel, very good location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast great price What more could you want ?
Location close to the ferry, very clean and comfortable, welcoming staff.
Room is very spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast Helpful staff Location
Good location, car parking.
Not told of number of stairs, would not have stayed as difficult. Breakfast was OK, would have liked breads and pastries, poor quality. No staff available to advise eating places. Overall very tired, needs updating.
The dirt, dust, mould and I'll-fitting carpets and other fittings
Me and my friend stayed here just for 1 night and I could not fault anything! It was close to everywhere we needed to go the room was really nice and the beds were comfy would defiantly recommend it to my other friends
Nothing evening was good
Poor quality of room.
Clean Good location Good parking
Very dated interior Expensive for accommodation provided
Shower didn't work properly & dirty, room felt stuffy & cramped.
Friendliness of the staff, extra touches like bottles of water in the room; chocolate on the towels on arrival. Breakfast freshly cooked for you.
Getting into the carpark is very tight with cars parking on the road opposite the entrance,
It's only about 400mts to the sea or the town centre. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and comfy although a little dated and in need of a refurb. Breakfast was plentiful and there was an option for a variation at breakfast such as kippers at a small extra charge although this had to be booked 24 hours in advance. The car park is at the rear and accommodates about 20 cars, the entrance is a tight turn with walls either side. I drive a Mercedes Vito dual liner van and although tight managed the turn so people that said they could not get it must have had a very large vehicle indeed. The hotel is licenced with a small bar in the lobby. There isn't a night porter but you are issued with an outer key for after hours entry. I stay in many hotels and rate this 8/10.
My room on the ground floor was close to an entrance. I was awoken by everyone returning late with the clang of the door chatter and laughter.
Room 14 was very tried needed a makeover , shared bathroom was not working shower off the wall plug did not fit bath , very poor , next door was a other shower room not clean , a disappointing stay ,
The location is excellent and not too far to walk into the High Street. Breakfast was excellent, hot and brought to our table very quickly indeed...
The Hotel really could do with updating as it feels and looks a bit old and shabby. The Lino on the steps outside is very strange and not sure what purpose it serves.
Excellent choice of breakfast, always cooked fresh and delivered steaming hot! Excellent service!
Breakfast realy good close to shops and bus stops and seafront will stay again
Beer a little expensive in bar
