This is a very comfortable family owned hotel and as a consequence has much of the character found lacking in the big chains of hotels. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Room was extremely comfortable with good quality bed and bedding and scrupulously clean. Individually prepared full English breakfast or continental option available to start the day from 7am. Hotel location provides straightforward access to Leeds-Bradford airport. Will certainly consider using again when flying from Leeds-Bradford.
View from window, room 27. Beds comfy. Room good size. Staff helpful. Quiet.
Bathroom needs updating.
Everything! Nice family hotel with great customers skills. Spectacular place to rest or party. Excellent breakfast in a reserved table for all of you. Parking space with closed gates. Bar. Event room. Wi-Fi. TV.
I just stayed one night.
The people were nice, the place is charming. We were there to attend a match of the Bantams (Bradford City) for which it is a perfect location. Lister Park across the street is also a very nice location.
The maintenance of the rooms can be improved: everything was very clean, so no major complaint, but in one of our two rooms the shower simply needs some new pieces.
everything staff very helpfull
Staff was brilliant
We just stayed just the one night before travelling to Leeds-Bradford airport early the next morning. Our stay was excellent as were the staff, very helpful, especially the gentleman in reception that evening (8/7/14)
The food wad a bit pricey
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I did not get a room as shown on the internet, it was more like 1* not 3*. The room I had was in need of decoration, tatty furniture and the view from the window was of a roof and that is all we could see. Nobody came into replenish the coffee making facilities or bathroom products on a Sunday and so we were left to sort that out ourselves.
Friendly, helpful receptionist on arrival. Value for money. Good food at dinner (if a little overpriced) Gluten free food provided. Provided early breakfast, because many guests were setting off early to Tour de France.
Waited 40 minutes for order to be taken for dinner. No drinks either. Food arrived 35 minutes after ordering. No-one on reception for departure. Then had to pay cash, because credit card facility was unavailable.
Stayed in Rm 33 and couldn't connect to the wifi because I was to far away. Only stayed 1 night.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Wifi was unreliable
very good food well prepared .helpful staff
The decoration in the room was tatty lights in the bathroom not all working hole in the wall only one bathrobe and slippers when it was supposed to be a double .very expensive for the standard of room we have had a lot better room for a lot less money
Comfortable bed and pillows Bathroom recently refurbished. Secure car park. Pleasant, helpful staff. Value for money.
Breakfast average! Corridors looking a little tired.
Good location in a quiet, leafy part of Bradford. Don't worry if the car park appears full, there's a lower car park you can use (ask at reception).
Reception needs some attention. Not only did someone not know how to turn on the wifi (didn't work at all), but when we checked out no-one was able to take our payment! The woman who was in temporary charge asked if maybe we could pay cash, but when we asked if she'd be able to give us a receipt said she wouldn't be able to. At time of writing they've still not taken payment. This was most likely an exceptional situation and not the usual way things are at this otherwise very pleasant hotel.
this was a nice hotel room was nice and modern and very clean.,the staff were very helpful and friendly.we were pleased with everthing
Very nice family run hotel very welcoming and comfortable
Meals quite expensive
Very clean and quiet room. Nice, well stocked breakfast buffet. Staff very nice. Family atmosphere.
Reception wasn't "manned" all the time, especially during day time hours staff seemed to be "somewhere else" in the hotel.
Big band night (Monday) was an unexpected bonus for me, but might not be to everybody's taste.
staff room service breakfast
location and surrounding area
Stayed here for only one night but did not disappoint. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. More like a bungalow than a hotel, but a fantastic experience nevertheless. Include breakfast if possible since there is not much around for choice.
Doors closing at 11 30 pm. Inconvenient since the location is not central.
Peaceful, spacious room.
Cost. £50 for 1 night.
Stayed before, friendly staff good food relaxed stay albeit for a quick 1 night. Room nice, good breakfast, will return.
Staff helpful Food good
everything spot on
