A family run concern all the staff were friendly. We stayed in the origional part of the hotel. The rooms were very spacious, warm and continuous hot water in the bathroom for a 3 star this was very good. My only complaint was that the evening meal was slightly overcooked but that was my only negative observation.

This hotel is a long established family owned and run business, and it shows. The staff and managment are friendly and helpful, the rooms modern, clean and comfortable, and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are excellent and value for money is second to none in the area. We'll be back!

Friendly staff, good size room, comfortable bed, free wi fi with excellent signal. The hotel is peacefully located, on a quiet side street and within walking distance of a number of good curry houses. Only one chair in our double room. Bathroom in need of refurbishment. Room heating is linked to the key card, so does not work when you are out. As a result the room was cold on arrival, and on returning after a day out.

A very pleasant place to stay. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the bath towels. It would have been nice if they were bigger.

Large comfortable well-equipped rooms in a good location with secure parking, would be ideal for a midweek business trip. And the Saturday morning lady was straight out of Fawlty Towers - first impossible to find, then couldn't speak English, then got the breakfast order wrong, then locked the reception doors, but all harmlessly comical rather than annoying. At weekends it is more of a wedding / dance / party venue - with the music throbbing through the building until well after midnight.

Friendliness and hospitality shown by all the staff were far more than I've met anywhere else. Also the accomodation and food were excellent . Altogether very good value. Thank you to all at The Dubrovnik ! Car parking was a little confusing in the dark. In the daylight it was much larger than I had thought.

A very warm welcome with a free drink! Very helpful, friendly and approachable staff. Overall a very nice stay, except the electric heater kept turning on and off throughout the night making some clicks. But would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We received a really good welcome from a gentleman in reception. It was a very cold frosty evening when we arrived and when we were shown to our bedroom there was no heat on at all and the window was open about 6 inches. We felt very cold for a long time and kept our coats on. The mattress was lumpy - but have slept in worse beds! At breakfast time we had a cup of warm tea which had obviously been made a long time. My husband had to go into the kitchen to find someone to ask for a fresh cup of tea. We were very cold and when we felt the radiator - that too was cold.

The hospitality was fantastic. We were given an upgrade to our room by the hotel due to an error made by booking.com. We had not booked breakfast but had a fantastic last minute breakfast at amazing value for money. The room was cold and had only be provided with items for one person, ie. One towel one cup etc. Wehn we tried to phone reception there was no answer.

Nothing, we were kept up all night and the staff were ignorant and helpless and there was no picture on the tv plus had to send my breakfast back to the chef 4 times as he didnt seem to be able to cook a well done fried egg due to me being pregnant.had to go look for someone to let us in our room after waiting for someone for half hour

Lovely hotel, very helpful friendly staff. Would stay again under different conditions - i.e. not on a party night! But I must say that if I had realised there was a Christmas party going on that night I would have stayed elsewhere. My son (7) and I retired at 945am as we had an early start, breakfast was promised at 730am. I was woken up at 11pm by the disco which had oviously cranked the volume to full - finally got to sleep at 1:15pm once Rick Astley had finished crooning... To add insult to injury the breakfast did not start until 8am which resulted in a big rush to get to our destination. The above was applicable to all of our party of ten people... In my opinion, we should have had a discounted price as the noise and subsequent comfort level were fine if your were drunk but for a family it was borderline... (nobody explained there was a big party on when I booked).
