Location and proximity to train station
The mattress was old; the concierge was smoking on the doorstep when we arrived and spoke with such a strong accent it was hard to understand what he was saying...
Friendly staff, good location, nice breakfast, cosy well proportioned room.
A nice, small hotel, well equiped. Spacious bathroom and the room as well, great service. Bus and tram stops in 2 minutes walk, near the center.
My daughter and I shared a family room. Lots of space.
Cramped breakfast room and sliced bread!
Room was clean, spacious and quiet with excellent shower facilities. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was a short tram ride from Waverley station and close to Haymarket.
Can't think of anything.
The location was good the staff were excellent and the sausage were the best we have had.
The room was fantastic; clean, spacious, comfortable. The beds were great. The location was perfect, close to transit, downtown, airport, shopping, sites, etc. Quiet location, not afraid to walk around it at night.
The hotel was spotless, beds comfortable, good location and very good breakfast in the morning also staff very pleasant
the owner updated our double room to a grand family room with a four poster bed. the room is nicely carpeted as well.
Room size and location was absolutely brilliant. Ideal for coming and going. Comfy bed and working tv, bathroom facilities were also great. Did not get breakfast so can't comment
Nothing, everything was ideal
Location, room, friendly staff and breakfast.
Rooms very spacious and beautifully decorated Comfy Beds Hot Breakfast Included
Bad Wifi Shower pressure and hot water
Excellent wifi, great breakfast choice served till 10. Rooms decorated beautifully and very clean. Staff were so friendly. Was in single room, very quiet so great night's sleep. Double rooms, large with 4 posters. Highly recommend.
Nothing. Couldn't fault it.
Very good location not too far from city centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay. Would recommend.
V. close to Haymarket Station
The bathroom was exceptionally well appointed. Both bedroom & bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The manager is extremely helpful. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of choice. Very good value for money.
The location is perfect, 15 minutes walk from the Castle. The reception lady is very nice, the reception man is eastern style, but nice.
Wi-fi not working on the last floor. A bit old fashioned decoration. A lot of noise from other rooms.
the hotel is near the haymarket station, in a quiet part of the city.
we found remains of bugs, spiders, etc. in the room when we arrive. we had to convince the personnel about this and after our complain they made a good cleaning. our room had a small garden, but if you are allergic to bugs you can be irritated. it seems that they newly refurbished the rooms, these rooms need to be maintained better.
The room was great, looked amazing and was very clean. The location of the hotel was about 10 minutes from the very edge of the main shopping street. Breakfast was a nice full English. Nice shower and pretty big TV.
Very impolite and abrupt management, not rude but certainly not friendly. No information on the best way to travel (Edinburgh HATES cars) or park. VERY firm bed and pillows. Room was at the very top of the hotel, 6 flights of stairs I think.
Quality of fittings in the bathroom first rate - also towels pure white, thick and fluffy.
No hot water in shower or wash-hand basin 6pm or following morning around 8am. Huge sash-window was open resting on hinge but was far too heavy to shift myself - noise of traffic and people in street kept me awake most of the night.
Fabulous room we were upgraded at no extra cost and the room was perfect. Quiet at night for good night sleep. Great location of the hotel. Close to all transport amenities and great for a nice stroll.
Location was only a 10 minute walk from princes street. Good restaurants nearby. Very clean and warm.
Proximity to city centre Walk to cafes and pubs Prompt service and variety of breakfast
Hot water in shower was difficult to regulate
The decorations was beautiful, really clean and with all the furniture we were expecting.
We like it a lot. Nothing wrong
The room was spacious and good shower room. Breakfast fine and plentiful. The situation suited us well as we had gone to Edinburgh to go to a rugby match at Murryfield. Situation suited us for both Murryfield and easy access to the City Centre
Not much. Was a little strange to have to go to next door for breakfast but really no problem as weather was fine.
