Everything you could want cheap and affective, comfy room and great breackfast.
The guest house was really good and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful.
It was a bit far away from the city centre.
Location was ideal and within easy walking distance of city centre. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was the perfect start to a long day. The staff were lovely and very welcoming.
Outstanding breakfast and friendly staff
It rained the first day. Alas, that's not the Hotel's fault.
On arrival our room wasnt quite ready so we went out for something to eat (although we couldve waited if we wished). Was very pleasantly surprised at room and shower room. Nothing negative at all. Staff friendly and hepled with directions etc. Only problem we had was no hot water for shower in morning. As we were leaving we just waited til we got home but could be big problem for other guest staying. breakfast was excellent with lots of choices will def stay here again but perhaps try shower on arrival to check it working fantastic value for money.....
Location just across from tram stop and Haymarket train station Very quiet even though it had a city center location Spotlessly clean Excellent room - I would assume recently renovated Very helpful staff
The staff are friendly, the location is great and easily accessible. Such good value for money.
Breakfast was good
Room looked a bit shabby / door of bathroom wasn't closing well heating was a bit off at times therefor room felt cold and uncomfortable
Not exactely central but a 15m walk from Edimburgh Castle, the staff was super friendly and ready to help. scottish breakfast was very abundant and the room was small but nice and clean.
The room was truly fantastic and the bed so good that I woke up refreshed and well rested.
There was a problem with the wifi, but we were told that the problem was temporary and general in the area. It was unfortunate as I had something to prepare for the next day, but in the end it worked out, even with some difficulty.
the girls where so friendly and helpfull couldnt do enough for us
when we arrived the man who booked us in to the hotel he is either polish or lithuanian was very abrupt as soon as we told him we had got a deal through book.com for full scottish breakfast for three of us for £24 for three days he wasn't happy then he said where are you's from we told glasgow he said that explains it.we paid our hotel bill in cash had to ask him next morning for receipt he was not happy about it everytime we went for shower water wasnt warm had go down to reception and was told we had wait 20 mins for water to get warm sat morning we had sit wait 40 mins for breakfast realise we wern't getting any he just kept ignoring us we had ask the girl for it our first morning there there was a australian couple came in for breakfast he ran in after them shouting at him you pay for breakfast so embarresing anyway we wont be using this hotel again manners cost nothing they should have someone more professional welcoming vist
Location very close to Haymarket station, tram and bus stop so great for exploring the city. Very quiet despite central location. Clean, comfortable and great value for money. Owner's helpfulness with tips for exploring the city.
We had a great stay at the Lairg Hotel. The owners are very welcoming and the situation is very convenient to visit the city and quickly reach the airport. Also a very nice Scottish breakfast!
Everything really clean and comfortable surprisingly good.
Found it good value, was clean tidy .
value for money good food lovely clean well decorated rooms
no complaints at all
Beautiful building and room Friendly owner, pleasant and helpful Ideal location for tramway Facilities available were of a high standard Very quiet side street Quality bathroom, good pressure and consistent hot water
If I'm being picky, noisy front door when closed
Nice rooms and a nice brekfast
That our rooms was located on the third floor and no elevator
The breakfast was amazing rooms were very nice. And staff was very friendly. I would defiantly stay there again.
This hotel is of a very high standard. It is very clean and cosy and close to the tram at Haymarket which is ideal for the airport. The facilities in the room were excellent and we would definitely stay there again.
The milk provided for tea and coffee was full fat and not skimmed. Skimmed UHT milk tastes so much better in tea.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of accommodation for the price, we could not fault the hotel, clean and comfy,it'll be the first place we check when booking again
Stay at The Larig Hotel in a triple room with two other friends for 2 nights The room was of good size and was quiet ,clean and comfortable.Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice for a small hotel.
nothing really to dislike other than about a good 15 - 25 mins walk to new/old town
Close to tram.
Noisy traffic wasn't double glasses
