The hotel was convenient for our needs
Disappointed with the breakfast - it let the hotel down, however, the receptionist did then work to resolve my complaint.
The room smelt of damp we were on a very tight schedule and should have asked to move rooms when we arrived but had to rush straight out, when I told the receptionist in the morning at check our she said there had been a flood in the room and professionals had been bought in but the room should never have been used for guests it was not acceptable. The receptionist wasn't very helpful and as someone was complaining about there breakfast in front of me she took my key and said no more. Very poor service on hind sight .
A bathroom with a bath and shower-a rare find as these days you only get a shower in most hotels
More varied dinner menu. Plenty of the usual fare, burgers, steaks etc but nothing a bit more adventurous. Breakfast excellent though!
The staff is very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. They had room service and the food was delicious!
The tv remote didn't work and the people who stayed in the next room was very noisy all night! Didn't get much sleep.
The room facilities were good value. Room was spacious. The reception staff were really great, friendly , helpful
I ate fish and chips in the attached pub, this was served on a trendy wooden board, this didn't work, there were not many chips, and as the board and the small serving bowl for the peas were all cold the food soon cooled down. Breakfast next morning was good but again all the crockery was cold the 'hot' food was cold as I got it. A pity. Again the staff were veeyy friendly.
Good location and very nice bar
Slightly old fashioned rooms & furniture
The proximity to the people we were visiting.
Beds were comfy Shower was good
Television did not work properly Could not access WiFi There was a smell in the room The tea had a nasty tainted taste
Everything was what we wanted very good would return again,
Evening meal was very good service and lovely food
Breakfast service was appalling 40 minutes for an omelette. No help yourself coffee or yea waitress staff rubbish. Worse service ever
Great food - friendly staff - comfortable rooms
This was a good value overnight stay. Evening meal was good quality with polite attentive staff waiting on. Plenty of free parking close to the hotel entrance Rooms were clean and comfortable
No marmalade at breakfast The catch on the bedroom window was broken so there was quite a draft - we just turned up the heating, problem solved! No reception for O2 phones
The room is spacious, food is great, nothing to complain. We are a repeater!
Nice hotel for the price, we didn't order room service but the prices were very reasonable! Nice breakfast and peaceful considering it is behind the pub.
Nothing really stands out
Breakfast was good and not expensive. Good beds Clean Nice old english style Friendly personal
The entrance could be better, stands not for what you get.
it was close to our parents and we have stayed there before
Asked for a double bed and got two singles
The staff were amazing . I will be returning very happy with place everything
We wanted somewhere to stay after visiting family nearby and this hotel was perfect for that. The family room was very comfortable and excellent value.
There is a short walk outside to get to the restaurant.
Rooms were clean, tidy and met our requirements.
Creaky stairs to upper floors!
Staff were waiting for us to check out early as they only had a few rooms to do and wanted to go home, we forgot something in our rush (perfume) which was never found!! We did not like having to go outside for breakfast especially as it was freezing that day.
excellent breakfast choice evening meals reasonably priced
Everything about this Hotel makes it outstanding value, Staff are fantastic and the food is great quality with good value for money.
The customer service was so poor, our room was late and they did not say sorry and did not care that we traveled a few hours to get to the hotel for someone's party there. Would not stay there again.
Location was good to Yateley which is where we were travelling to for an evening party.
The hotel smelt quite bad and the lady on reception was not very helpful or informative. We were charged £55 on our debit card when we arrived, having already paid for the room we were unsure why this amount was being charged to us. The lady on reception had no idea and had to call someone from the restaurant building to inform is that this is a deposit for the room in case anything was to be damaged and would be held from our account for 3 days!! I have never experience this before and it's a total inconvenience! We are still waiting for the money to show in our account and will take this up with The Ely if this does not reappear, good job we had money in that account because we were not informed this would happen, be warned.
