a minor inconvenience was apologised for by the hotel wghich was appreciated.

Clean comfortable bedroom and smart breakfast room. Parking available

Tv did not have teletext and it did not have Sky channels either (as I thought the website had said) . informtion in my room said that Sky channels are only available in "luxury" rooms not ordinary ones. If you want breakfast earier than 8 am on Sunday it is only possible by paying a supplement.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Deluxe rooms are very nice. The hotel was quiet.

Breakfast has changed since the last time i stayed and is probably the worst breakfast i have ever had in a hotel. On the breakfast menu they offer sausage OR bacon (although i did get both as i couldn't make my mind up) continental breakfast consists of cereal and apple/orange juice. There are jams on the tables but no marmite and we had to ask for brown sauce and ketchup. The breakfast waitress's were very rude and started walking away while my partner asked for sauces and toast. The toast was hardly toasted and they give you scrambled egg and no option to have poached.

rooms out dated, bathroom below standard, Not cleaned to same standard daily. Beds with blankets not acceptable as they are old and worn.

Excellent breakfast and service

to many stairs, as i have a bad back and struggled with my case , no help was offered. room needed a redec shower was very poor

The Falcon Hotel suited us because of its proximity to our daughter and her family. We were pleasantly surprised with the room we were allocated, the decor, furnishings and bathroom facilities were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts in the light and airy breakfast room and the staff were polite and helpful.

The room that was allocated to our grown up daughter was comfortable but the decor was too dark for the amount of light the small window let in.

Location for me was the imortance for this trip. Clean room and excellent food.

My room in particular wasn't the best by far, although I understand from the website they're upgrading the hotel to a new, fresh style... In my room, the bed cover was dated complete with old stains, along with the toilet struggling to flush and the shower being too low (and I'm not very tall!) and very temperamental - you would set the temperature but then it would fluctuate between very hot then cold on numerous occasions... I wouldn't say I wouldn't stay at the Falcon again, but I would prefer one of the re-decorated rooms if I do...

Despite the 'recent' refurbishment we found the hotel a little tired and dated. There is no double glazing in the rooms so, being next to an airport and a main road, it is quite noisy. Although well equipped and individually furnished, the room was quite tight. The toilet is in such a position that you actually have to back in to sit down! The shower screen was fixed so you can't turn the taps on without actually getting into the bath. Being an old building it doesn't conform to recent soundproofing building regs so you can hear every movement outside the room. We were kept awake by others until half past one in the morning. The dining room was pleasant and warm and the breakfast was lovely. Cooked by a chef who is clearly an expert on eggs. I had scrambled and my wife had poached, both were cooked to perfection - and we are very fussy about our eggs! The staff in general were very good. Despite all having very strong foreign accents, they spoke clearly and were easy to understand. They worked hard and were extremely efficient.
