The Falmouth Hotel

Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr höflich und freundlich. Die Tatsache, dass das Hotel das erste und älteste Haus am Platz ist,,,sehr nostalgisch "very british". Events und Veranstaltungen (z.B.Hochzeiten)enden um Mitternacht. Der Ausblick aufs Meer und Hafen (ZImmer 414 und 411)

Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Alte Fenster (auch nicht geputzt) Teilweise sogar feuchte Wände (Zimmer 411). Das Bad in 414 nicht zeitgemäß. Kaum Ablage für Utensilien. Alles nur notdürftig übermalt und überschminkt. Holzfassade im Treppenaufgang mit Papiertapete überklebt( geht garnicht). Der "Wellnessbereich" .. Kann man eigentlich nicht so bezeichnen. Die Duschen und Umkleidekabinen alt und schmuddelig. Mitarbeiter im Frühstücksservice waren nicht blickig... es fehlte mal Besteck ,dann Butter oder man musste lange warten, oder man musste mehrfach daran erinnern, dass man dieses oder jenes bestellt hatte. Weiterzuempfehlen ist dieses Hotel nur an Gäste, die Wert auf Nostagie und Landschaft legen, Wer empflindlich ist und Wert auf saubere, gepflegte, exakte Räumlichkeiten legt,... nicht zu empfehlen.

Very nice public rooms, comfortable bedroom.

Bedroom decor very dated, a panel on the back of the bedrrom door appeared to be asbestos which was flaking at the bottom, slightly alarming. Perhaps it should be investigated?

Splendid location and views retaining its mid 19th century charm with modern facilities. The food in the restaurant was exemplary.

It's a pity the fitness room was poorly laid out with old and damaged equipment.

Excellent location for town and beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean with great view. Breakfast good. They take dogs.

Badly in need of decoration and a refit. though room comfortable and very clean had peeling paint, cracked wallpaper, chipped sink, very tired and badly done decor etc. stairs and general areas the same. pool and changing area could be cleaner. Shame as it has so many good things going for it.

Not being able to use debit card- had we been able to you would have had our custom for the evening meal and drinks at the bar.

We were most impressed with the courtesy of all the staff with whom we came in contact. The bedroom was large and, being on a corner, had twin aspects with views of both the sea and Falmouth town. The leisure facilities were very good although, being open to paying local residents, could be a little crowded at times.

We had one minor niggle. The shower was rather dated and with little power.

Could do with a bit of a update, but would not stop me going there in the future
