The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The original Victorian/Edwardian decor was atmospheric. Breakfast was well above average. |

The lounge, dining room, breakfast, seaview and location. This hotel needs a few million pounds spent on it!! Interior paintwork poor, decor poor, leisure area depressing and our room was like a small box! I'm sure it was wonderful in the past. |

The sort of hotel that makes you relax. Rooms were a bit drab compared to the glossy pictures on the website. |

The room was spacious and comfortable enough to relax in during the day. I thought it might be under-heated at the beginning of autumn but it was pleasantly warm, Food and table service were good. I filled in a guest questionnaire on departure and asked not to receive emails from the hotel. Receiving this review form makes me wonder if any notice is taken of completed questionnaires. |

The staff were friendly and the building was historic and interesting. if it had had E4 channel on TV, that would have been good. |

We were really pleased with the location of this hotel and even though it is going through a major refit it didn't interupt our stay. Our room was a far size and just recently redecorated with a nice sea view. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The staff were all friendly. We will certainly consider going again. The swimming pool was very cloudy and tired but I am sure this will also at some stage get a refit aswell. |

The complimentary tea/coffee in the lounge on arrival was a most welcome surprise, and the self-service style breakfast had a very good choice. Only the fact that we could hear the wedding disco in our room when we had booked the hotel for a quiet break. |

Very friendly welcome despite lateness of arrival. Helpful in clearing up some confusion in the reservation. Unfortunately I had only one night there and did not have the opportunity to fully assess the hotel. My first impressions were very good. |

Visited family. Breakfast service was poor. Staff attempted to clear our table three times whilst we were queuing for breakfast and removed my chair at one point! The chef could not keep up with the breakfast orders. Usual problem where there is a wedding party staying at the hotel - not enough staff to cope with demand. Staff were extremely polite though and apologetic. |

Ah the views, prefect place to sit and daydream, lovely gardens relaxing calm lounge, friendly staff, and good quality food. The bedroom we were allocated was on the fourth floor and was well below standards, but we were led to believe the hotel is being rennovated, and it was a very busy weekend.....so if booking again would check room allocation. |

We chose this hotel for the location and proximity to Falmouth and Truro. We found the staff curtious, room adequate, food of a good standard and ameneties good. Although our stay was mainly to see our son who lives in the area and look at property we would choose the hotel again for a short term break. |

sea views, easy acces to both town and countryside, relaxing hotel with comfy lounge area. Breakfast service was generally slow. Not impressed with cafetetia style heated buffet food - menu sounds good but quality is poor. Toast stale and cold as it is served with tea/coffee rather than after the main course - suggest you provide a toaster as part of the self service buffet. |
