Good standard of room, bar. Very good breakfast with attentive staff.
Room rather cold. People coming in late made a noise and woke us.
Was a very good location. The rooms were a very good size.
The bathrooms were very disappointing. And very small.
Breakfast and location.
Swipe card to access room level and to open room door not working propery.
The room we had was on the nautical wing of the hotel. all rooms named after liverpool based cruise ships. The room we had, RMS Paris was sumptuous with a very large comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom and very nicely furnished seats. would i stay there again, yes indeed I would, its over the road from the Everyman theatre and the Liverpool Philharmonic hall. and opposite the phil is plenty of places for a meal if you dont want to eat at the Hotel.
Free wifi Good location
Room was freezing Basic bed with cold damp covers Paper thin walls Don't stay in room 34
Have a good bad! I like it!
Not very clean.
Bathroom, breakfast, staff
We were in a dungeon with no natural light. The room was unattractively decorated: dark, 70s style decor. The hotel was a rabbit warren with fire doors banging all through the night.
The location was great for the Everyman. Friendly staff who I should have contacted about my one problem.
I was given a room (N4) near air conditioning unit (or something similar) and as a light sleeper I spent a dreadful night with just short bursts of sleep - not helped by banging doors. To be fair the lady on reception, when I checked out, did say that I should have rung reception and they would have sorted the situation. However, when I went to bed I had hoped the noise would stop and by the time I decided I was not going to sleep because of the noise I just could not be bothered with a move of room in the early hours especially as I was only staying the one night!
Friendly staff Room as stated
Receptionist was friendly
Room was tiny and couldn't use the bar as it was booked for a private function which I wasn't aware of when booking
Location was good only 5 min walk from city centre
Had to ask for another room as the room we were given was like a fridge and we were told we couldnt use the bar as it was booked from 7pm for a party
The only decent thing about this hotel is its location is near town. The downside of it is that you've gotta lug suitcases up a long hill.
The moment I walked into the hotel I was overwhelmed by this horrible smell of fish. It just got worse the deeper into the hotel we went, the epicenter seeming to come from the bar. Nearly throwing up down there. Booked an executive suite which did not look anything like the photos. The room was just about big enough for the bed, two single beds they had pushed together to make a double which was like sleeping on cement. The room had stains up the walls and smashed mirror. Not what you would expect in a well kept room. The bathroom was pathetic.no space at all. Was just a shallow cupboard with a sink, toilet and bath thrown into it as close as possible. The bath was no more than a foot and a half long (which ran the width of the bathroom), when the hotel provided pictures of a large bathroom and bath. Completely disappointed with the hotel, wouldn't recommend or stay here again.
Price, freindly staff, parking, location
IThe furniture was nice. Clean room, friendly staff. Wifi was free with strong signal. The breakfast was really good.
The room was a ground floor one, just above the restaurant/bar. It was a bit noisy. Maybe because it was during festives/ christmas. Avoid this if possible. Otherwise would recommend this hotel.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was warm and well decorated. It was also well equipped with everything that we needed for a 2 night stay. Location was ideal for city centre
No bar no restaurant no hot water totally ripped off for drinks sent to our room
Asked three or four times if they could fix the remote control, but nothing happened. Eventually we gave up....
paid over 60 pound per night, for larger single room, Id hate to see the smaller one, none stop noise from central heating system, door locking was faulty. until batteries replaced, 10 pound for a breakfast, only parts of it were hot, should have been included in price off room, replaced batteries in TV remote at my own expence.
the beautiful ladies on reception..very charming :-)
Staff were excellent, especially the bar and breakfast person. Breakfast was good, with lots of choice. Room clean and comfortable. Good location for Philharmonic Hall and pub. You don't have to wander into town for food and drink.
Not too sure about the sausage at breakfast but that could be down to personal taste.
Outstanding staff service and friendliness; excellent breakfast. Car parking availability. Accommodation. Well done to all!
Location was very good just 5 minutes walking to the main street, staff very friendly, breakfast very good, continental and full English, rooms very spacious and very clean.
bed is very uncomfortable, mattress very hard.
The location of the hotel was close to perfect for me and the room was properly kept. The food was very good.
Great value for money and good location - easy walk into Town
The room was right next to the door and the main walkway to reception in the lower floor, very loud in the morning !
