The hotel is located on a very pleasant seafront whilst at the same time being very close to the small Town Centre of St Annes. Many rooms have sea views. It is really a holiday hotel but was also fine to stay at as a solo business traveller although presumably will be busy in the main summer season. The room was modernised with all usual facilities and nice bathroom. Breakfast was fine , I did not have dinner there. In other reports there are comments about high bar prices , in fact although higher than in local pubs they are similar to most other 3* hotels, which also charge high prices for wine and spirits. The single room was very small, made worse by having too much furniture /large tv for such a small space. The restaurant was in the basement and therefore a bit gloomy. The beer choice at the bar was poor and despite there only being a handful of people in it there were two TVs and disco music blaring out continuously. Not very relaxing ! The hotel had been modernised in a kind of mix of contemporary with a slight 30's touch . Like the 'Hotel Inspector' had advised them . Somehow it did not quite feel right.

The staff were extremely helpful, to the extent that two people turned up to provide us with a replacement light bulb which we had requested. The proximity to the town centre and the beach was a bonus. Nice porridge at breakfast. Good parking. People who rated it as 'superb' clearly haven't travelled. The room was a furnace, we had to open the window to cool down, turning the radiator down made little difference. Pillows uncomfortable. Shower head would not stay up, meaning you had to stand with your face to the wall to get wet! Springs gone in chairs in restaurant. All in all, it was a little faded, but location and staff made up for it. I would rate it as 3 stars. We paid the reduced rate on the website of £65 which was acceptable, but the full price would have been £130 which most certainly would not!!

I treated my grandchildren aged 4 &12 yrs old &they enjoyed every minute of their stay especially when they were told Halloween special nights & activities were planned which were excellent. Thankyou so much for thinking of them-it made it extra special. The restaurant was very good & catered for all ages. I had to report the noise from the toilet when flushing as it made a sound like an express train coming through & my grandson could even hear the noise when in the swimming pool! The plumber visited but made it worse. I had already booked my reservation, then later noticed that complimentary Dinner was being offered, when I queried it, apparently it is only if a booking is made through the hotel- this was not apparent when I searched for a suitable hotel which was quite disappointing.

Accommodation and public places within the hotel were very clean. All staff including restaurant polite, friendly and helpful. We thought as a family that there was a great choice of food for breakfast and the standard of the food was great! We enjoyed our stay overall over the weekend, however, we stayed in room 252 and we have to say that despite the window being open it was stifling!! Much too hot and on our second night we had to leave our door open!!! Also generators under window very noisy but no choice but to have window open. It was cooler in the sauna (ha ha). Such a shame that this happened because everything else was so good. I think it would probably make us hesitant to book again which is a shame because overall the hotel itself and the staff had a great feel about it.

I thought the hotel was lovely, but thought it was nearer to the blackpool lights (my mistake) for not reading the reviews correctly. I thought that the hotel was very noisy, doors banging, you could hear people walking across the floors upstairs thought that the walls were made of cardboard it was that noisy.

We liked everything about the hotel. We made a last minute booking to go to Blackpool and were delighted with the look and feel of the hotel and even had time to enjoy a swim and use the sauna. Lucy on reception was very helpful and we have booked to go back in December for a Santa Weekend Break. We've even asked the in laws to come along too!!

As a family we found The Inn on the Prom a very pleasant and very friendly hotel. The staff were very friendly and well presented. The facilities were excellent especially the swimming pool for our two teenage children. The food was of excellent quality and the restaurant staff could not do enough to help. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and would like to visit again in the future. Our only one slight dislike of the Inn on the Prom was the lack of light in the family room we were allocated and the lack of a view.

A friendly and relaxed atmosphere with a perfect location for strolling along the prom - a skip and a jump away - or building sandcastles on the beach. The hotel pool was an added bonus. A lot of thought has been put into the updating of this hotel - we are so glad we chose it and will definitely revisit.
