The views and location Breakfast and hospitality Offering our two young boys a body board each when they saw us leaving for the beach kitted out in wet suits
slightly dated décor in some rooms
- sea view - heritage building - nice room - friendly staff - cliff garden
Good room with magnificent view over sea. Helpful staff. very attentive at Breakfast. Good food and lots of choice. Comfortable beds and large bathroom.
There was a lift but it didn't seem to work for all the rooms.
Fantastic positioned Hotel, views to die for, friendly staff, good food, clean comfortable rooms.
Nothing bad to say.
Location was central to town and dead opposite the beach.
The tired furnishings, torn wallpaper and discoloured bath. The seperate shower only had a drench head and was therefore not good for keeping hair dry. There was no shower facility on the bath. Our room had no seaview but overlooked a refuse area.
The best experience we have had in a long time . All of the team in the hotel were genuinly helpful and very very helpful , they could not do enough for us and nothing was ever too much trouble. All staff always had a smile and nice things go say without being pretentious ....the best hotel in tenby by far .
Rude guests !
Pleasant and welcoming staff.
the Hotel's close proximity to the beach and shopping centre. The staff are quite amiable and professional.
I was very disappointed with the quality of the furnishing in the room. More gutted with what I had to pay for the room, I felt ripped off. When I booked this room through booking.com, I thought I was booking a room with a balcony as on the pictures on the website. instead, I was given a room with very poor interior, no balcony and with wifi rarely hitting two network connection bar.
Location, friendly staff, good dining, great breakfast. Fair sized room with excellent view.
Not good value for money. Too many stairs. Parking charges (£5 a day) in unsupervised area.
no WI-FI connection, dirty towel hanging on the back of bathroom door, bathroom had not been cleaned.
Can't beat the location of the hotel. Excellent service from all the staff! Breakfast was lovely!!
The bath was pretty dirty. The shower was draining slowly so could only spend two minutes in there!! The outside pool could have been a bit warmer. The pool could also have been cleaned, my 3 year old son kept swimming into dead spiders and leaves.
Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant, allowing us into our car park space early when we arrived just before lunch. They also took the time to chat and have a joke. Our room had the most fabulous view of North Beach, the harbour and over to the Gower. The hotel's private garden leading down to the beach is great, with seats where you can enjoy the views or a quiet read. The hotel is also very handy for the centre of Tenby and apart from breakfast quibbles is a relaxing friendly place to stay.
Breakfast was not as good as we were hoping for. The cold buffet was limited but okay - and the natural yogurt was very good - but my scrambled egg on toast the first morning was so bad I left half of it. The egg tasted like powdered egg or similar - completely tasteless, no texture and very very pale and the bread used for our (somewhat burnt) toast was like a cross between cardboard and polystyrene. Also cooked breakfast arrives so quickly that it sits on the table getting cold while you try to hurry your cereal; at least that's what happened to us. Second morning waitress took it away for me but this didn't achieve a lot as it came back nearly cold with solid yolk fried egg and dried out black pudding, a shame. They seemed to want to hurry you out rather than let you enjoy a leisurely breakfast (and we got down half an hour before close of breakfast first day and an hour before on the second day, not at the last minute).
the location, great views from a front room.
The rooms and hotel are getting tired... worst was the fact that the windows in the room didn’t open, they were screwed shut! This made the room quite stuffy. If you are booking ask for a room where the windows open!
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, wonderful location
Green paint, non existent wifi in bedroom although good signal in the map room!
The swimming pool my son loved it the bar was open 24 hours and lovely staff
The only down side of the hotel was the mfood menu not alot to chose from
Comfortable slightly old-fashioned hotel which means it has a lot of genuine character rather than designed-character. Great location on the seafront of a pretty town.
You had to pay for parking which I think is not a good recent trend in hotels. If you are staying somewhere it should be in the room price. However, glad they had a car park as parking would have been difficult.
Great view Location Fab Staff were friendly Clean
WIFI didn't work Room dated
Friendly staff Heated pool Games room Well organised seating for breakfast. ++ breakfast. Very well situated for beach, harbour and local town.
Poor connection for wifi which could be down to weather.
I liked the location and the view from the room. Had a twin room with a buddy of mine and it did perfectly the job.
Wi-Fi was problematic at time
The boys loved the table tennis table. Location is excellent. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was brilliant.
Room wasn't ready as in room was booked for 2 adults and 2 children. .....only 1 bed was made up for the children. Shower was blocked however it was fixed straight away.
Manageress not accomodating and came across as snooty. Most of breakfast staff were foreign and struggled with basic English.
Dated room (11)
Great location, overlooking beach.Staff were very helpful and breakfast was very good.Restaurant prices were reasonable.
Decor a bit tired in bedroom and in certain parts of hotel.
Good location, friendly employees, great omelets!
Very intermittent Internet, mold in bathroom, dirty carpet.
The breakfast and the staff
Parking was difficult. Very hot in the nights so had trouble sleeping. I had my 2 grandsons with me who loved the pool but we could only use it on our first day as the other 2 days it was closed when we wanted to use it because it was being cleaned. The main reason I bokked this hotel was for the pool.
