Location is excellent, in the centre of Bath.
Very well renovated and decorated but really creaky bedroom floors, certainly ours and the room above.
Appreciative of the fact that the location was excellent for access to tourist spots within the city.
More range of drinks for making a drink in the room - only tea on offer
Hotel was faultless. Breakfast incredible. Comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Staff were just delightful and a pleasure to encounter. The location of the hotel was excellent, close to everything we needed.
Great beds. Close to town.
The central location
The room was beautiful and bed so comfy , loved the bathroom
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Rooms clean.
Quality of service from the staff, food was lovely, very relaxed atmosphere and incredibly comfy rooms.
Parking costs and breakfast is over priced, especially when you can walk around the corner to a number of cafes and restaurants.
Friendly efficient and knowledgable staff always willing to help
Why charge guests to park?
Pleasant atmosphere, historic building, well placed in the centre of Bath. Friendly and efficient staff.
Some of the "mod" decor was a bit over the top. Limited and rather tricky car parking, but at least there WAS a car park!
Absolutely everything. Location; staff; food; decor: comfort.
The decor was fabulous.
Bathrooms were v small, limited space to put toiletries, make up etc.
I would like to extend my very warm thanks to Andrew, the Porter, who has benn so helpful during our stay, and to the entire hotel staff!
We loved the decoration (traditional funked up) and period charm of the hotel which belied its large size. The room was comfortable and the young, pleasant staff went out of their way to be helpful - valet parking the car, explaining about city car parking, recharging iPhones, making good recommendations for lunch etc.
We were in a modern block with poor sound insulation - I could hear cupboards being shut and light switches turned off in other rooms.
Location Staff Cleanliness Style Comfort
Price, was expensive for what was a small room and facing a loud busy road. parking was also quite expensive at £15 a night.
Very good bedroom and great pillows.
Great location, lovely decor. Staff friendly. Bit over priced though. I am staying in a London hotel this week for over £100 less.
A fantastic hotel with very polite helpful staff, lovely rooms with comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again
I last stayed at the Francis in November and so loved the Roger & Gallett toiletries and was looking forward to the same this time, only to find they had been replaced by another brand and in my view nowhere near as good.
Location History Decor Quality of towels & sheets
Double bed a bit small for a superior double room
Facilities in room, comfort, close proximity to centre
Parking is on a first come first served basis... We were lucky to get the last space, but it would have been very inconvenient if we had been unlucky enough not to get one:)
Great location! Great staff!
The fact i had reserved a double bed and upon arrival the room had twin beds!
Location and hotel room brilliant. Staff lovely and room really comfy. Traditional but up to date as well. We will be back again.
We would have loved breakfast in the hotel but it was very expensive. A lighter breakfast option would have Been nice.
