Location and bathroom was nice and big
There was stains on lamp shades and chairs also big marks on the wooden bed frame. Hairs in bed and bathroom floor only 2 bottles of water and a juice in mini bar fridge. Stuff you wouldn't expect in a four star hotel.
Location Friendly staff
Cost of breakfast
We only stayed for one night, but we did choose this hotel for its location and it was perfect for our needs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Francis Hotel in Bath. It was our Wedding day on Friday 19th September & we had a few rooms booked for family & friends, including ours. The staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We would highly reccomend the hotel to others for the welcome, service & facilities on offer. All top notch in our opinion. Thank you again to all you at Francis Hotel, Bath for all you did to make our stay amazing. Mrs & Mrs Bridgeman
The location was excellent - right across the street from road to the castle. Staff was very efficient and courteous. Very contemporary rooms with tea and cookies!
Temperature inside the elevators was too high. I realize it is to conserve energy but it could be cooled a little. We were on the 5th floor which was very warm but our room cooled quickly. No handtowels??
Location great. Room clean and comfortable
Check in awful. Waited nearly 2 hours for room. Were told on arrival 30 mins at most. Given wrong room and had to request a move
Superb hotel. Such close proximity to all of Bath's sights makes it ideal for all.
location for shopping breakfast
room lacking basic conveniences, was not advised of ground floor room when booking, bed sheets dirty despite evening turndown, poor reception area very cramped, overpriced
The bed was the most comfortable ever. Bar had lovely ambience and reading matter.
Couldn't open bedroom window but air con was good.
Our character room (113) was superb. Lovely comfortable bed with the most amazing pillows.the bathroom was massive and the shower amazing. The staff couldn't have done more. Wonderful !!!!!
Beautifully decorated through out, with a quirkiness. Excellent city centre location with lots of food places around.
Lot's of ambulances with sirens flying past as on a one way street.
The whole experience was great. So close to the attractions and shops. Thr standard double room was a well decorated and furnished to a high standard. The staff were extremely helpful and we can't wait to return.
Loved it all
Great location and building. Staff and service was exceptional.
Room was very small for the price we paid, and because we were on the third floor, the noise of air conditioning or extractor fans outside the room made sleeping very difficult.
Good location in the centre of Bath. Very quiet rooms and a comfortable bed.
The hotel was very charming with professional yet friendly staff.
Fantastic room, lovely breakfast, very helpful staff. A great weekend break.
UHT milk rather than real milk in room, but such a small thing, barely worth mentioning.
Location is excellent, in the centre of Bath.
Very well renovated and decorated but really creaky bedroom floors, certainly ours and the room above.
Appreciative of the fact that the location was excellent for access to tourist spots within the city.
More range of drinks for making a drink in the room - only tea on offer
Perfect location Friendly and helpful staff at reception Although my room was facing the square, it was not a problem to sleep at night Brasserie Blanc was a very nice place for lunch one day. Really good food and friendly and attentive staff
Breakfast very poor value To charge £20 for breakfast is fully acceptable, only this was unfortunately not worth that much. Housekeeping staff friendly but unable to speak any english, so very difficult to communicate with
Hotel was faultless. Breakfast incredible. Comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Staff were just delightful and a pleasure to encounter. The location of the hotel was excellent, close to everything we needed.
Great beds. Close to town.
Dated decor All in all looked more like a chain hotel
