This traditional Georgian-style hotel is located in central Bath and is an elegant building with many traditional features and modern facilities.

The Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, Circus and Thermae Bath Spa are all within a few minutes walking distance, as are all of Bath's fashionable shops, galleries and antique markets.

This large hotel features 95 en suite rooms, an à la carte restaurant with great views over Queen Square, and a Caffebar serving hot and cold beverages and light snacks. Secure limited car parking is available at an additional cost.

Area information

The Francis is located on Queen Square, a short distance from The Circus. Simply follow the a4 from the East or West 'Through Route', which forms the north side of Queen Square. Bath Spa Station is approximately 1 mile. Bristol Airport is approximately 15 miles.

Friendly staff

The bedroom decor was rather tired - chipped paintwork, old portable t.v., poor lighting in the bedroom and an old blind in the bathroom.

The duty receptionist was very helpful in ensuring I had a remote for
the tv which was missing from my room.Being upgraded to an executive
double was good although I wondered on the state of the ordinary
double?...........

It was tired and rather shabby E.G. the wooden supper tray was in need
of sanding and varnishing or replacing - not very hygenic.

The staff were very friendly and the room was well equipped and modern. The hotel was very convenient for the shops.

We would have preferred a self-service breakfast.

The location of the hotel was lovely and it was within easy walking distance of all the main attractions we wanted to visit.

The room was small and in need of updating the best way to describe the hotel was tired although I understand they are in the process of refurbishing.

Central location

Overpriced and a little shabby nowadays. Morning newspaper did not

Comfortable bed, quiet room, convenient location.

An additional £14 for a buffet breakfast that was average at best and luke warm was a real kick in the teeth having already spent £115 on a room.

The room was large, comfortable and clean. The shower was great.

We were initially over charged - took a few days to get this back. We
had twin beds but were not told. I was also woken by very loud staff at
7.00am on Sunday morning, moaning about their wages!

The beds were sooooo comfortable, 12 o'clock check out, friendly staff, reasonably bar prices, lovely decor and very clean.
