Bed was comfy,
Staff very slow at dinner service. Food very average. Hard to find. Room above us - could hear people. Very expensive for the grade of stay. Not up to our last booking.com stay which by comparison to this one - was extremely good.
Breakfast was satisfactory. Evening meals were nice.
We stayed in room 14 and it was rather cramped. Shower cubicle was very small and the flow of water from shower head was very poor. Shower head needed de scaling or replacing and the light in the toilet would not come on without tapping it. I told the people at the place twice and they promised to sort it but it was not done. I think that the owners should stay in each of the rooms they let out to see what improvements can be made and not wait for people to complain. I think it was NOT value for money and I would have liked a discount of some sort not just a grunt as I paid my money. Was very hard to find as no signs on road.
Food was good and staff were helpful. Quiet and peaceful location, close to Bath at a price that was affordable.
Pub, pool, location, kitchen staff, food,
Web picture of family room is not what we stayed in. Staff knowledge of facilities available in hotel, no hot water and broken heater.
Loved this place and am so glad a friend of mine who is a bit more adventurous than me had booked into Full Moon first. I expected to get 2nd rate everything so far out in the countryside -- but had a really nice stay. If you are looking for a more personal experience (expect one of the two owners or their daughters to be working the desk or restaurant) then you must check out the Full Moon. From the quality of the food, to the room, to the value, I'd rate this next to excellent. After London prices for a week, this was a welcome relief also.
I can not say there was anything I specifically did not like about Full Moon. Except to state the obvious - like don't expect a gym or pool type of comment, I've nothing to say that's negative.
Pleasant location. Nice room clean and comfortable. Breakfast food was very good but buffet service was a bit chaotic. Very good value packed lunch provided for journey home.
Pleasant location but a little Nice room but sleep disturbed by loud music from a wedding reception. Breakfast food was cold but replaced when asked with hot food.
Nice room comfortable clean towels every day. Good food children liked it as well. the pool worked a treat with the boys very enjoyable all round thank you.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was OK with lots of choice.
Loved the beer garden, the girls loved the pool, the decor of the room was lovely, the evening meal was delicious, the breakfast was very good, the place was very peaceful. We all loved it.
I really cant think of anything that we didn't like.
Lovely setting although a bit hard to find on Google Maps. Evening Meal and Breakfast were very good value for money
Lady who met us just handed us the key and told us our room was over in one of the blocks, didn't accompany us to the room. Room in need of some attention several cobwebs and spiders. Ok for a weekend break would not have wanted to stay for a week
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Very family friendly place in a beautiful setting.
The kitchen is not top notchm
Stayed in the separate accomodation block other side of carpark, nice spacious room with patio doors. Helpful staff and good food and drink selection.
The location was nice and not in the centre of frome which was a lovely little drive.
We booked a 1 night stay and was very dissapointed with the rooms. It lacks a lot of character and can do with a good scrubb. A lot of spiderwebs, mold in bathroom and carpet hasnt been hoovered in ages. We had a disabled bathroom with no bath. There was mould everywhere, it smells damp, the vinyl flooring is lifting and definitely not a splash room as the manager describe. You know its filthy if you feel you have to wear flip flops during a shower. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
A couple on a Long weekend away visiting Longleat Safari Park, great location, room very clean and tidy, staff friendly, good menu choice and very good food!
Sometimes the hot buffet breakfast was not as hot as it could be.
The food was good, and the rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly at breakfast.
It turns out the swimming pool is unavailable to guests at least two mornings a week as it is used by community groups. I suggested to the owner that perhaps he could put up a notice about this just so that guests could plan their stay accordingly, but he didn't reply! So I guess customer feedback is not very welcome. I feel that I paid extra for a pool that wasn't available and the owner does not see that to be a problem for his guests.
Old style, family staff feeling, countryside environment & clean and wide room
Location is a little bit hard to find & a little bit expensive
Good food. Good service. Good parking and all in a nice quiet location.
Pillows are cheap and not a very good standard. Same goes for the mattress. Also rooms are too hot in summer and too cold in winter.
Room was very large. Pub garden. Pub. Wished we had stayed a second night so that we could have explored the area a bit more!
The bed was very comfortable with clean crisp sheets. Big bath towels were lovely. The location is excellent both in terms of easy access to the A36 but also it is very quiet in the village so an easy sleep with the window open. The barmaid who served me a very nice pint in the evening was very friendly and welcoming.
The bathroom had not been cleaned at all and I only discovered this in some detail in the morning when I went to shave. The basin had someone else's shaving debris in it, the bin was full of the previous occupants tissues/wet wipes etc. and the shower was streaked with old soap with a used shampoo sachet left. Really not what you expect when you are paying £69 for one night of B&B. I mentioned all of the above to who I presume was the owner when I checked out and whilst I wasn't hankering for a discount as a result of him not delivering what I had paid for, his attitude was somewhat ambivalent and he would 'talk to the housekeeper'. Hopefully when he talks to the housekeeper he may also mention the brown sauce running down the side of one of the two bottles on offer at breakfast. I was second down so you can't blame the previous user. For all the good points I'm afraid the Full Moon is overpriced and appears poorly run, which is a shame as it has potential.
Set in a good location in the south west, especially for Longleat.
Our family room was disappointing, the shower (a disabled one) was really not of a standard for the room rate. Altogether needing for refurbishment. Don't be taken in by the website (misleading images)
Great location, for Longleat and other attractions. Staff were friendly.
Would benefit from a refresh in the rooms, new paint, deep clean, dust etc. The pool could also do with a bit of a facelift.
nice friendly pub. nice staff
to dark in the rooms, and needs baths in the rooms.coffee needs to be hot in the morning
The food was basic pub grub when it was serpost to be alacart and the breakfast room needs a good face lift
