The bar/food area was great!
No kitchen to make our own food
very modern, renovated and still in good shape. Well located and close to many important destinations
Breakfast was very crowded and less than healthy or tasty
good location near king's cross train station. nice pub inside the hostel. lots of young travelers from all around the world.
No hairdryer. Maybe not very suitable for children and families due to parties and loudness at night
Easy Cheap Clean
Price to stay longer while finding home and noisy room due to bar music late at night
The showers need doors on them and somewhere to put your clothes!
Water in the shower was cold. But everything clean
the atmosphere here
no cabinet in the room
This is a great hostel. Clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely. It is very easy to meet other people there in the multiple common rooms. My only advice is do not climb on the roof! I was on the 6th floor and our window opened up to a balcony. Long story short, I climbed up the maintenance ladders to the very top. DO NOT DO THIS. YOU WILL BE CAUGHT. I don't know how they knew I was up there, but basically I was escorted out of the hostel at 3:00 am. It's good to know they take safety seriously there! Anyways, I still had an awesome time and recommend this hostel to anyone, especially solo travelers. It's also close to the tube so getting around the city is easy.
Had to show ID walking in and out of the downstairs bar and prove you stayed there every time you want to get back in just makes it hard
Great staff, very helpful and available. Great location, close to train station, safe area. Security people at all hours at the entrance. Wifi free. Bar inside the hostel. Everything was clean at all times. Very modern facilities. Great atmosphere with awesome common areas. Great to meet people from everywhere. Can't think of anything else aside that I loved it!
Rooms might be a little small but it remains a youth hostel so we shouldn't be expecting more.
Brilliant place to lay ur hat while ur in London. Bar is cool.
The doors to the rooms bag shut so sleeping was very minimal as the constant banging of doors shut. Would recommend stopper doors. The cleaner barged in to our room on day and was very rude to her my partner. Bathroom tiny. Night exit
Wifi Comfort sleep modern
hard to find towel hiring
Security Great design Polite staff Good location
Noisy, very noisy. A non stop background noise at night, impossible to sleep well. No quite space to relax. Very young guests
Private twin room was nice and quiet, big enough with enough space. wifi is good.
Avoid leaving your luggage in the lockers- so expensive!!!should be for free.staff was not friendly. all in all the atmosphere in this hostel is cold and not like you are welcomed there.no one really botheres.security everywhere...
good location, nice bar and food facilities. good wifi, rooms were decent for a hostel.
night staff seemed overbearing. woke us up to tell us to keep it down. myself and my friend were talking at a reasonable volume at around midnight and were told to keep it down. we had our own room and even the sound of the doors closing was ridiculously loud in there.
Always something happening.
The location is very close to King's Cross Station. Staff were nice and friendly.
There are too few shower places.
Good location, good facilities, quite clean
Made my reservation a week in advanced based on 24 hr check in. I arrived at 2 am after travelling for a full day. My bed wasn't ready and I had to wait over 10 minutes for them to find a bed for me and another 30 minutes for them to clean it. Time difference and travelling meant I was EXHAUSTED. They offered me a free breakfast until 10 am but because I was jet lagged and only get to sleep at 3 am...I slept in and missed it.
Very we'll run, like a good hotel. Very clean. Quiet enough even with two bars.
Can't make change in-hostel easily and machines like snacks and laundry don't take bills or cards.
I found the generator to be an awesome place to stay, the food was good, great location, clean rooms, friendly room mates and overall I didn't feel like I was in a hostel. Thank you Generator
Generator is very clean, you have free access to get in and out all night, there's a good bar with karaoke and other parties. Its a great place to meet friends and very close to the Russel square station and Kings cross.
The 5th floor bathroom had some problems and was smaller than the bathrooms on the other floors.
We really liked the hostel and its location. We loved the different themes for the floor and the beds were comfortable, the staff was helpful and nice and we really appreciated the massive drawers under the beds where we could lock up our things. Also the security was appreciated and made us feel safe.
There weren't many things we didn't like but the biggest one probably was the housekeeping and that during our stay (6 days) they did not clean the room once. Neither sweeping the floor or quickly wiping out the sink that was in the room. And the showers and toilets weren't that cleaned either nor was the bin emptied once. Everything else was top notch.
Location, price, clean, wifi
The wifi was great the rooms were fairly large, clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with everything I asked.
In the shared shower facilities there was nowhere to keep my things. With only one hook outside the shower my clean dress fell into a puddle and got very wet. I would recommend they invest in some sort of shelf to keep your towel ect.
