The wifi was great the rooms were fairly large, clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with everything I asked.
In the shared shower facilities there was nowhere to keep my things. With only one hook outside the shower my clean dress fell into a puddle and got very wet. I would recommend they invest in some sort of shelf to keep your towel ect.
Relaxing areas as well as good bar and nightly entertainment. Good selection of beers and food. Great security in place
Good locagion. Good facilities and rooms.
For young people, amazing place, good common areas, washing machine, discopub, position ok, near underground and bus stop.
No microonde, no kitchen.
General facilities, reception staff, location and cleanliness all great.
The nighttime security stuff were rude and had an unnecessarily accusatory manor. Paying customers deserve to to treated with a little more respect. This is the only reason why I will not be returning to this otherwise brilliant hostel.
The design if the hostel and the travlers shop on the ground floor were very convenient.
The room where people chill and lying around wasnt too clean. The bathrooms and the toilets were difficult to use.
the snoring drunk man
location was great, as it was just within walking distance of the St. Pancras / King's Cross Station. The area is secure, too. The accommodation was better than most hostels I've been to.
Location is great, facilities, great wifi access in all areas
I was in a 4bed mixed room. snoring from another person kept me up all night :(
Great location. Walked everywhere.
Booked and paid for private twin but was put in quad share with 2 other guests. As this trip was a 21st gift, I wasn't aware a private room had been booked for me when I checked in so I didn't question it at the time. Was there in a heatwave so got very little sleep as the rooms were stifling hot.
The team was very helpful in all senses, the hostel felt very secure, The doormen were extremely nice except two of them. The food they cooked was good. Very nice place to meet new people. It was clean. It has a pub/bar at night..shame it closes so early. The location is absolutely perfect. I was very happy at the Generator, made very good friends there. Will definitely return and recommend!
They should organize more events such as pub-crawls, maybe some guided visits, themed parties. Probably have a wider range of offers in the menu. Other than that I loved everything!
Reading or Area to so some work till late at late to avoid, as light goes out in the rooms from 22:00.
toilet need more hangers and places to put personal items.
public area is good
The room smells bad. Very damp; bad air. No window, very dark even in the day time. Bed is too soft and is noisy at night. Not comfortable at all. Toilets and showers not clean enough.
bar cafe wifi social room powerpoints insocial room cafe and hallways.
lack of powerpoints in room.bed not long enough.
Excellent location, friendly staff, good WiFi, spacious lockers
Tiny rooms, inconvenient showers, horrible breakfast, overzealous security
Best wifi I've found in the past month. Food is decent in the restaurant.
No AC in room, so it gets really hot. If you're tall like me (6'4"), watch your head in the bathroom (at least on the fifth floor. The ceiling and pipes are really low.
The generator is clean the staff are friendly, there is a chill out zone and an on site bar. The food they serve is very tasty, an all round great hostel. The location is great! With pubs, parks, a small shopping centre, a 24hr tesco local, and easy access to the tube station, which is on the main Piccadilly line. It's also not too far from the centre of London by tube it takes minutes. I will be staying again!
The rooms don't have air con but fans are available at reception. But that's a small issue in comparison to how great the rest of the hostel is!
Great location and design of this hostel, great price too, would recommend and stay again!!
Cleanliness of the bedsheets, had stains on them.
Great location, nice interior decoration, nice common area. Toilet was clean.
The room was way too cramped. I lived in an 8-person dorm - there was hardly any space that I could put my stuff. The bed sheet provided was not clean - found someone's nose bogey on it! And my locker was broken. There are charges (several pounds, depending on time) for storing luggage before check in.
Friendly for young people. Nice to have good on site. Buffet breakfast was convenient.
Shared bathrooms and toilets not always flushing well.
Nice clean place & full of fun & youth , polite staff & value for money.strong WiFi & Good security . Clean Baths & hot water.
No kitchen , coffee and food at the cafe abit expensive, far walking distance from Oxford street that is the heart of London.
it's the center of London and near the tube, good facilities
It will be better if the breakfast can have more choices
The hostel was great. It had a great atmosphere, tailored more for young people. The bar and restaurant were good and not expensive. It also provided the opportunity to meet other travelers with cocktail hours, djs, and other activities.
The room was very small and really hot. The sheets were not very clean. It only had paid luggage storage, which was a little bit expensive.
Reception by all staff. Clean facility, excellent shower facilities, breakfast system, even prepared a breakfast to go when we left before b/fast bar opened for the day. 6 beds bunks in the same room with a lockable door meant my whole family stayed together.Price was good. Excellent hostel
