The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The food in the evening was very well cooked and tasty. Everything was clean and tidy. One time going through the corridor when it was being vacuumed some sort of 'Shake and Vac' was being used to make the corridor smell nice. I was very impressed with this touch. I would certainly use the hotel again because of the above, and it is so central to all other parts of London. Russell Square underground station is only a few hundred yards away, and it was easy to to navigate from there. I emailed to ask for a lower bunk and had an email back to say that a note would be put on my reservation so that I would get one. However when I got there I had been given an upper bunk, |

The hostel seem to be very well organized. There was a bad smell in the corridors (4th floor). I think it was coming from the carpet that looks very old and dirty. |

The staff were very friendly and efficient, answering queries and questions without hesitation. The faciliites were generally clean and in good repair, and the bar was always very lively! The breakfast is NOT a continental breakfast! Also, there was nowhere to get a decent cuo of tea after breakfast was over. |

It was clean, in a great location, and had a lot of activities to do within the hostel. It was very loud at night because there is a bar within the hostel. It is also a large hostel with many people coming and going. |

Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, design of the generator, possibility of leaving baggage in baggage room, central location (only 10 mins from St Pancras/Eurostar). Although the shower wasn't working on our floor, the showers that we used on the floor below were fine, and the shower-room was very clean. It would be helpful to have a locker next to each shower, where one can put one's stuff whilst showering. |

The Generator has really funky interior design and a happening bar inside the hostel. They also serve free breakfast with cereal, toast & juice which was not bad. I felt safe there because they had lots of security at night. It was pretty loud at night which is probably to be expected while staying in such a large hostel. |

The bed was noisier than the club in the basement. There was a doorbitch already in the street demanding our keycard and stating the hostelrules instead of giving us a kind welcome. I had to prove beyond doubt that we really had made a reservation, which she could not check because she could not pronounce my name. I almost forgot myself that I was in fact a paying customer. |

getting to know german guys who ended up being rather weird during the night yes, i don't like how the staff member put me into a room with 6 guys and only me as a female in the room... it's no big deal, but it should be appropriate to ask the next time or making sure that there's an equal mixture of male and female in a room. |

The location was good. Breakfast was between 7-11am which was convenient. The carpet was dirty and tired. Internet access was often down. |

Perhaps the most central hotel in London, located in the heart of the West End at the foot of Oxford Street with the whole of London on your doorstep. |
The European hotel is a budget hotel and is located in central London within walking distance to St Pancras Eurostar and Kings Cross Stations. |
With a great central location next to King's Cross station and St Pancras International, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi and clean, bright rooms at great-value rates, with a full English breakfast... |
Great value for money hotel, located just off a quiet square near the rail and tube stations at London's Kings Cross. |
