I loved the place. It was really quite and peaceful. Specially after city like London. We had great rest. Breakfast was also good even I had to pay extra. I will come back there for sure.
The bath room was poorly cleaned. The floor.
Quiet hotel very clean good size bedroom
Struggled to get into the bed. The bed was made like a hospital bed
Way too expensive - surly receptionist - noisy drinkers from the bar ....
In town location traditional building and setting Hotel character
Friendly and cooperative staff. Useful and enjoyable courtyard. Main course of meal good.
No capability to deal with hot weather in the bedrooms. Not all food to the standard expected of an hotel charging £100 in that location. Breakfast could be much better using local produce.
Breakfast served quickly, efficiently and by pleasant staff. Lovely hanging baskets, filled with flowers.
Noise from the courtyard below at night.
friendly staff, location
Great location , lovely building ...
Very overpriced , noisy because of drinkers from the bar outside the rooms, unfriendly receptionist , no breakfast included in booking , tiny TV situated too far away to watch comfortably ...
the size of the room was decent and bright. they had a cot ready for my child as requested on arrival. there was kettle, tea and coffee facilities.
there were moths in the room. the bathroom floor and the floor of the room had not been cleaned. it's over priced for a 3 star hotel.
Decent size room & bathroom ok. Convenient location for event I was attending in the town & for walking by the Thames.
Shower was quite weak maybe because I was on 3rd floor.
- Location was great
- Two noisy cleaners woke us up at 8am, shouting down the hall to each other saying things like "it's gonna take f***ing ages to clean this!" After 20 minutes I opened my door to ask them to be quiet, which they did. But morning ruined. - Shower water just trickled out. - Cigarette butt at foot of bed - Dated decor and furnishings - Not worth £120 per night.
Large spacious quiet room
A friendly comfortable hotel. a bit jaded but clean and they let us in early to change for a wedding.
It was farther from the wedding reception than we were led to believe. Breakfast was not included and for what we paid I think it should have been.
The courtyard outside was lovely and the staff were helpful. Didn't eat there so can't comment on that. Location is central so all good there.
The room was dingy with black mould in the bathroom. Shower cream was empty and shower itself was rubbish. Well overpriced at £120 for a Saturday night and that was without breakfast!!
Nice location, friendly staff.
Very tired décor, small single room, quite drab and poor value for £100 a night without breakfast. I stay in many hotels around the country and this is the only one I wouldn't feel inclined to visit a second time.
poor choice of food and the chef wants to learn to cook
Helpful and friendly Receptionist/Manager on arrival The location was good The rooms were a good size The bathroom was good The windows could open!
breakfast was too early an ending for a weekend, 08:00-9:30.
paying extra for breakfast after paying £120 per room per night staying for two nights
Convenient location for purpose of my visit. Within short walking distance of all facilities and attractions of the town.
Couldn't stay longer!
Central location. Warm welcome. Comfortable accommodation. Great base for visiting nearby family, visits to Oxford etc..
Just a bit tired rooms could do with an upgrade.
Have stayed before & will stay again!
I found the bedrooms very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The bar meals were very good and the service was first class.
I feel that the towels didnt need to be replaced each day, but it was nice to have the chambermaid coming in to replenish the tea/coffee etc.
Comfortable, quiet room. Friendly and helful staff Very good food and one or two nice malt whiskies at the bar Very handy for visiting son, wife and new granddaughter which was the purpose of the visit
Good location, excellent breakfast. Very quiet.
There was a rather casual attitude from some of the staff who might benefit from a little more training on dealing with customers and clients. Due to age of plumbing there was a problem with water pressure in upper room.
