Top marks for the staff who were warm and friendly. The delightful courtyard looked beautiful. Good atmosphere in bar. Breakfast good with excellent choices. Bed comfortable. Good location for our purpose-in house party and only a short walk from shopping area. Good spot for inexpensive lunch. Our room (4) was not as clean as our previous stay. Based over an extractor fan, it was noisy. No space for non-smokers in lovely courtyard. This poor, tired hotel is badly in need of decorating-a lick of paint and wallpaper would do the trick initially..... Evening meal pleasant but average. Car was damaged in the car park

It's history and architecture, loved the uneven floor. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, if a little too hot. We would stay again.

Convienently located slap bang in the middle of huntingdon. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. Theres a bar downstairs ftw! The floorboards in places are very creaky to the point where trying to be stealthy will only make it creak longer. I felt a little guilty when arriving back to my room at two in the morning due to the ammount of noise my light footed steps were making. This worked in reverse also as i was awoken in the morning by people leaving when i really needed the lie in to recover from my excessive ammounts of alcohol the night before.

The staff were fantastic, friendly and what one would expect from an establishment such as the George, from the member of bar staff, (wore glasses) welcomed with a smile, to the night porter whom " nothing was to much trouble". However the infrastructure was tired and in need of attention, pealing paint, water leaking from a foul pipe above the rear enterance, the room was clean and tidy but lacked warmth in terms of decor, as did the corridor. The breakfast was very good and the quality of the food was excellent. Over all I would use the hotel again and would commend " Steve" and his staff, but a wee tad more attention to detail !

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hot Breakfast selection very good. Free Car parking was a huge bonus as it enabled me to easily do my shopping in town. Will definitely stay there again. Would have liked some shampoo.

As a romantic Valentines evening stay, it was lovely. The staff were friendly and polite whilst not being overbaring ... And the Shakespeare suite was delightful. It was a really nice break.

This is a very convenient Hotel for Huntingdon town, the a1(m) and the mainline to London. Parking is good and the room was comfortable and warm. As a single woman traveller I felt safe and had everything I needed. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The building is old and has loads of character with a lovely central courtyard. This is an old hotel, so it needs a lot of work to smarten it up. But there is loads of potential to make it a stunning place. It was also a bit noisy at night, with people walking up and down the corridors, because the floor in places is very creaky and uneven.

The menu was a little different and well delivered. It had a nice atmosphere. I would have preferred the billed items for drinks and bar to be broken down, as we were unsure they were correct (£40).

A lovely old hotel, friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast. Stayed at the hotel as a friend had booked the function room for a party in the evening, we all had a good night! The hotel rooms are nice and comfortable but the bathrooms were a little basic/tired, overall the location is good with free parking and the hotel offered good value for money.

The george is well located near town centre, we have stayed there before and this time we took 2 friends as well. The meal deals are very good value for money. The towels and bedlinen are spoltless and we really enjoy our weekend there. This is the third visit to the George now and it gets better everytime.

Everything was ok except we were in the room furtherest from anything, up two flights of stairs, no lift, too much for us staying three days. Also our room was very small compared to others, no easy chair to sit in, would describe that room as a large single, well serviced for a busuness person, ironingboard iron free wifi desk and chair for work.Central location, staff very friendly and helpful, just location and size of room for three nights stay not suitable, Location and size of room.

The George proved to be a lovely place for our over night stay. Our room was very comfortable, well presented and spotless. However the biggest plus was the attitude of all the staff - reception, bar, & restaurant. They were very polite, really helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. It made a big difference to us, to be surrounded by cheerful smiling and happy staff. Our full English breakfast was served with care and very tasty! We would certainly stay at The George again. A great service experience for the price!

I love the topsy-turvy design of this old coach house with different level corridors The staff, although very helpful, were a little stretched. For instance, when I arrived at the hotel, I had to wait for over 10 minutes for someone to come to reception.

Location to city center. Access to work and rail station Room was tucked away up on 2nd floor and accessed via fairly steep stairs. A bit of a haul for family with luggage. On-site parking but it can get a bit filled up.
