Comfort of the room No quiet area to sit in the evening. Bar extremely noisy and I was there with friends and impossible to talk. Cooked breakfast came before half way through cereal, felt rushed

The old world feel of the place. Having been made to wait 30 mins for table to be cleared at dinner, then being told kitchen had shut. Not a hint of an apology from the owners.

Very good and friendly staff. Nice old hotel where creaky floors were part of the charm. Good food in the bar and restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Bar only had one "real ale" on and it was gassed.

Excellent, friendly staff. Good wholesome food at reasonable prices. Reception welcoming by helpful staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Bed clean and comfortable. We feel the hotel is in need of some refurbishing. Paintwork getting marked and dirty. Some fittings in room require repair/fixing.

good service can make a good hotel into a fantastic hotel. The George delivered in terms of staff: immpeccably polite, friendly accomodating and keen. the larger rooms are lovely, and the broad staircase sweeps you down to breakfast with some flair. the smalelr rooms are comfortable and clean, if not especially glamorous. don't be put off by the bar downstairs - it is civilised and quiet and your sleep will not be disurbed. the George is right where you want it to be - the middle of Huntingdon, opposite a venerable Norman church and close to restaurants and bars. my room (small, cheap option) was right by the toilets and had a persistant power hum very audible. however, the staff were excellent - i told them i couldn't sleep there and they swapped me instantly and without question. just one other thing - democracy for vegetarians! one meat free item on the hot breakfast menu does not constitute a choice, people. come on - it's 2013: get some veggie sauasges in!

It was easy to find and the staff were helpful. The whole point of staying there was because you had a stair lift for my elderly mother. It didn't work! The staff had to keep knocking on the other staff door to wake them up on Sunday morning so we didn't get the lie in I was hoping for! As it happened the bed was so uncomfortable that I couldn't have stayed in bed for long anyway. That was the worst bed I have ever had to sleep on. The hot water in the bathroom was scalding .

Pretty building with lots of character, good size room with comfy bed. Cooked breakfast was nice. Good value for money Breakfast was a bit disorganised, they had not expected on a bank holiday to get so many customers at the same time and waiting time to get served was long. Croissants were rock hard.

I unfortunately was unable to stay at the hotel. However two of my friends took up the offer of the double room I booked. They were very pleased with the accommodation. How ever many times during the day of 22nd March I telephoned to re- arrange the booking name for the resevation the answer machine kicked in each time telling me that there were no staff available to speak to me. I left my contact number but no one had the decency to return my call. I find that this is not very good for public relations/customer satisfaction.

The Room was luxurious + relaxing, the food was value for money. The bar was a friendly area to sit in, + free parking was a very helpful item to have . I didnt like the stairs to the room, + the floor on the bathroom was slippy, the dining room lacks a little something.
