The staff was really helpful and the room was awesome. The Jacuzzi was the surplus of the room, old fashioned and unique! |

the hotel was conveniently located to a wedding that we were going to. It was reasonably priced. it was very tired and the bed was uncomfortable but it was clean and well located and the price probably reflected the current standard, |

The Hotel was very central and the cooked breakfast was good and the rooms clean. The hotel is managed by a new couple who dealt with a number of request well. The hotel was budget and if you are not fit ask for a low floor as the hotel has no lift and it was 52 steps to the top floor. The furniture and TV were old but the worst feature was the old matrtess on the bed (you could feel the springs). I should have mentioned this earlier as the manager said he would have changed the mattress. |

was antique and blends in with the town Shower was not really a shower. Had to connect pipes to the bath tap to take a shower. Single glazed window - not sure how it would be during winter |

Very nice four poster bed, central location, parking and very good breakfast. Enjoyed the three nights we had there and would use again and recommened to friends. Hard to call it a hotel now, as it does not have a bar or room service. |

I have seen many reviews of this hotel and was a bit apprehensive about the stay but it was actually fine for a weekend away. Location is excellent, the rooms are very clean and bright. The hotel has a gorgeous spiral staircase, owners werent about much - we did arrive early but there was no one at reception except a cleaner. But for a weekend away it did the trick, dont be put off, we are very fussy people and it was good enough for us. Also accomodating owners, pleasent and dont deserve some of these bad reviews I have seen. |

Room was not satisfactory, managers however were very helpful, only been in postion for a week and offered us an upgrade, however still cancelled this weeks stay. Very concerned that your company sent full details of my card including the security number and the hotel had this printed out in a folder that although kept by the manager I felt was not secure. |

Town location, availability of free parking, very friendly and helpful staff, decent sized room. It was with some apprehension we booked the hotel, it was however a lot better than some of the guest reviews suggested. We would certainly stay there again. Limited choice at Breakfast. |

The "hotel" did not live up to the standards expected of a Hotel. The room was in disrepair, there were no guest facilities beyond a breakfast that was not as good as I expect from a transport cafe. |

The location in the centre of Battle. The hotel needs vast amounts of money spending on it to bring it up to spec. The rooms are very tired. |

the manager did his best to show us a room that we would like. we finished in a room that was quite the grubbiest we have ever stayed in. the shower was discusting and worn out, full of hair etc. as were the bedside drawers. we had to request bedside reading lights. we were given one. the mattress was awful and probably was broken. the carpet was filthy as were the windows. there was no lock on the inside of the door. the sheet had holes in it. the duvet was for a smaller bed. all the painted ledges, surfaces were very dusty and looked unclean. the walls were dirty and had food splashes on some. this was the worst hotel we have stayed in, and that includes several dreadful ones in france. the whole ambiance was of uncleaned and neglected r please see above. no lift. 36 steps to the second floor. no bar or restaurant - this has been let to an italian eatery who admonished us for walking through to the front and the high street. we regret absolutly ever having found the george hotel and would like our money back. if it had been registered with the tourist office - we would have made a formal complain before leaving town. |
