Easy access for a variety of visits, comfortable bar and rooms to relax in.
Only grumble was the walk outside to get to our rooms when it was pouring down after a drink in the bar at night.
Staff responded well to our request for a 'quiet' room and could not do enough for us. We would definitely stay there again if in the area agsin. Plus excellent value for money with tasty breakfast included.
Nothing negative to report.
Big comfy bed and a lovely wholesome, tasty breakfast. Free parking and WiFi.
Rooms were clean but a bit 'tired' Our only real negatives were having to go outside into the garden annex for our room. Okay in the dry but far from ideal in icy or rainy weather. There was no shelter for smokers so we had to run the gauntlet of the smoke clouds ever time webleft the main building.
Good location and value for money
Fire alarm went of at 5.30 am in the main building.
Comfortable and friendly hotel
Having supper at cook's which was disappointing
Staff support given to disabled person was far and beyond the call of duty. Made our extended stay enjoyable despite illness
Breakfast claimed free range eggs. More like powdered eggs not possible to make real eggs so dry
put in an outdoor building despite the hotel being nearly empty the weather was bad with snow and ice paths or car park was not gritted between garden wing and reception we were quoted £52:50 for our room but were charged £55:50 we were on our way to funeral when we noticed the overcharge and did not have the time to turn back and complain
Room was very spacious and well appointed. Staff all very friendly. Will certainly use it again and happy to recomend
Wifi was a bit hit and miss but this may well have been effected by the adverse weather.
£3 admin charge for using a credit card. Having to walk across car park to get food n the evening-wrap up well and take a brolly
Friendly staff comfortable rooms
No free wi fi
Very poor mobile signal
lovely rooms, staff and well done house keeping staff
bar a bit small especially when there is a wedding reception going, felt like we were gate crashing
Stayed in an executive room. Lots of space and super king size bed. Had a fantastic nights sleep. Lovely meal in cook's restaurant as well.
Staff, location and facitilities.
WiFi kept dropping in and out, shower kept going hot and cold.
Room was very clean
There was nothing around
location is excellent for me and the staff very helpful. Food is very good.
menu in restaurant a little restrictive and on this occasion; table service was a tad slow - not sure why - and there was a large group of people celebrating a child's birthday. The children were running amongst the tables with helium balloons and treating it like a playground. on leaving the adults were gathering around diners tables swinging their coats around! This I feel should have been handled faster and professionally to respect the rights of the other diners who were visibly annoyed.
Lack of staff, poor quality and value of food, no atmosphere
Good location, easy to find, plenty of parking. Friendly helpful staff. Good food & wine selection. Reasonable prices. Garden wing room was large, clean, comfortable, quiet room with very nice ensuite.
Friendliness of staff. Spacious room. Promptness of reception In phoning us to tell us my husband had left his medicines In the room. We were able to drive back to the hotel and return to East Kilbride by 2p.m.
My husband found his bed too hard.
location is ideal for my business needs as I was working in Grangemouth and Falklirk. The staff are efficient and courteous. All rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Evening meal in Cooks was good and the service very friendly and efficient. Breakfast within the hotel cooked fresh and a good choice.
If you have a room in the new extension there's no way of getting to the main hotel without going out side. Noise insulation is poor especially if you have a door linking two rooms together. I stayed in the extension to the rear of the main hotel which backs onto the motorway. Shower couldn't maintain a constant temperature, something I heard other guest discussing at breakfast.
Good location, very clean and staff were friendly. Decor superb. We had an evening meal at the Cooks Bar and Kitchen which was the best we had all week (we spent the whole week staying at hotels in different locations). Breakfast was excellent.
It was a handy location for my next days work
Don't like garden annexes where you are separate from the main hotel.
Food in Cook's restaurant good. Everything freshly cooked and something for everyone.
Breakfast left a lot to be desired chef needs to review his methods of cooking.
The staff were pleasant & helpful. The facilities were good.
That room 106 was charged at the same rate as others in the main building. When it had a small bathroom with fixed head shower over the bath... & didn't have the larger bathroom that others had. Also although the room was a fair size the outlook from the windows was the poorest on the premises. I would charge this room on a par with those in the garden section.. Need to double up on the cooked breakfast items. Single bit of bacon ,sausage. Egg. Black pudding Mushroom & half a tomato does not make a 'Full Scottish Breakfast'.. Tasty enough just paltry in my opinion.
