The breakfast was extremely disappointing on both days in fact the second day was inferior to the first. It was so poor it prompted me to eat elsewhere in the evenings.

The fact that it was a small hotel, the bedrooms where away from the main building which at first I wasnt happy about as the weather was terrible, but it was so quite we slept really well and considering it was new year and people coming in and out. I live in hotels during the week due to my work and this hotel might not be the most expensive or prestigeous but it was good. The staff were helpful too and couldnt do enough for us. The free breakfast was delicious The walk way to the bedrooms outside the hotel needs some sort of canopy or covering, in bad weather like we had I got soaked. The bathroom needs updating a little bit

Easy access and the modern clean decor inside. Nothing major..... Would have liked biscuits with the tea/coffee tray in the bedroom and wanted a drink from the bar but it appeared not to be opened (4.45pm on a Friday).

last minute fantastic booking for us...although I have stayed here before after a wedding and loved it. Immaculate room, quiet setting with garden setting...food was fantastic at the adjoining Wallace restuarant...& breakfast in the main hotel was faultless. Would highly recommend & will definately reurn. I was a little disappointed with the towels on this visit... We were only given 1 hand towel (which was on the bathroom handrail.... I have long hair so we really needed 1 each) also 1 of the bathsheets was ashamedly frayed....which let the hotel reputation down a bit as this is fairly basic stuff :(

Good location for the Central Belt, rooms nice and comfortable, bathroom well laid out. Friendly reception. Breakfast a bit unprofessional, too many staff meant orders doubled up. Mean with fruit juices they should be put out for guests to help themselves, coffee terrible returned it twice then gave up. Would like to use this hotel more but their no-pet policy doesn't allow us to. No mini-bar in room and told hotel bar closed at 9.30!
