The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The view of the ASDA factory wasn't the best.

Friendliness of the staff despite having to multi-task Obviously run on a shoe string (no spare beer cask when it ran out; no great stock held in reserve for spirit bottles) Understaffed (reception staff had to man bar area when they could) Very cold dining room which includes an unheated extension necessitating fan heaters and cables strewn across floor Skimpy breakfast portions Having to go outside to get from the accommodation block to the dining room and bar / lounge - would be as well going to a Premier Inn which would be considerably cheaper

Excellent, happy, welcoming staff who resolved problems if required. Rooms are a good size with excellent bed and bathroom. Excellent for business. Detached restaurant (Cooke's) a bit awkward in bad, cold weather. Too many 'Fire' doors which makes getting large luggage difficult to get to the room. A lift for main building would be really helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very obliging with providing a gluten free breakfast for three mornings. Rooms were well appointed and very clean. Despite close proximity to motorway, also quiet. Some of the best staff we have encountered, nothing was too much effort. Restaurant next door "Cooks" was outstanding food, service and value, belongs to the same hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed Broken window would not shut and hence wind, noise and cold came in. Had to keep heater on that clicked loudly all night. Heater switched off when you left room so room was cold when coming back at end of day.

The Bistro Restaurant which is set apart from the Main Hotel was very good. The Bar area is pretty tired looking and could do with a bit of a makeover.
