The fact that it was a small hotel, the bedrooms where away from the main building which at first I wasnt happy about as the weather was terrible, but it was so quite we slept really well and considering it was new year and people coming in and out. I live in hotels during the week due to my work and this hotel might not be the most expensive or prestigeous but it was good. The staff were helpful too and couldnt do enough for us. The free breakfast was delicious The walk way to the bedrooms outside the hotel needs some sort of canopy or covering, in bad weather like we had I got soaked. The bathroom needs updating a little bit

The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. One of our rooms had a lovely view of the gardens. The staff were really friendly and the cooked breakfast was freshly cooked with really fast service.

Easy access and the modern clean decor inside. Nothing major..... Would have liked biscuits with the tea/coffee tray in the bedroom and wanted a drink from the bar but it appeared not to be opened (4.45pm on a Friday).

Neat rooms. Good scenery. Lots of parking space. Head receptionist appeared rude. Talked over me, as if I was invisible, to the person behind me on the queue. Appeared to grudgingly process my booking and same attitude at check out. If I didn't know better I'd say she was racist. Very poor service from her. That said, other staff were polite, gracious and friendly.

last minute fantastic booking for us...although I have stayed here before after a wedding and loved it. Immaculate room, quiet setting with garden setting...food was fantastic at the adjoining Wallace restuarant...& breakfast in the main hotel was faultless. Would highly recommend & will definately reurn. I was a little disappointed with the towels on this visit... We were only given 1 hand towel (which was on the bathroom handrail.... I have long hair so we really needed 1 each) also 1 of the bathsheets was ashamedly frayed....which let the hotel reputation down a bit as this is fairly basic stuff :(

“Wonderful comfortable bed had a great sleep! Also the food was fabulous and at £10 for three courses it is one of the best bargains I have come across for a long time! Staff were courteous and friendly. A central location and easy to get to all in all I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend to everyone. M.Dalrymple.” Maureen, Kilwinning |
