Good friendly welcome and a comfortable clean room. Very pleasant surroundings (although they will be better enjoyed with more daylight!) Upon checkout, no VAT receipt offered (important as a businss stay) I did overhear the lady in front of me ask about this, and the response was that reception staff who could do them didn't start until 0900 |

A pleasant change from faceless corporates. Food in the restaurant was good value The bathroom was very very cold even with the radiator fully functional. |

Easily accessible from Thames Valley Park, it is a value for money Hotel which offers good size bedroom and bathrooms. It has lots of character, and a great restaurant. |

Its proximity to place of work and some good local restaurants (e.g. the French Horn and the pub in Sonning village). The staff, when you can locate one, are however pleasant and the breakfast was good (except for the fresh fruit, which was clearly rather old and had not been stored carefully). One of my colleagues rooms had no hot water in the evening, nor in the morning, despite raising the issue the previous evening with staff. Also in my room, the shower pump was absurdly noisy and disturbed neighbours. Cleanliness of the bathrooms was also suspect. |

Clean room and convinient for Reading. Overall good value and I am told by a colleague, although I did not actualy try the food, that the food is very good. The lighting between the various outbuildings is very poor and could cause problems if you are not careful. |

The room, food and bar were all acceptable. Not great but acceptable. The price was on the high side for the quality of accomodation and food. |

The food on the main menu was to an excellent standard, freshly cooked and well presented. The main dining room was closed so the "pub" dining room was in use. Although the full menu was available it was very dissapointing being brightly lit and having absolutely no atmosphere, which really detracted from the excellent food and spoilt the meal |

Lovely setting by the river, large gardens with outdoor terraces, Bridge Restaurant provides excellent food and hotel buildings range from 16-21st century giving old world charm with modern facilities Popular venue for weddings and other events meant that staff appeared stretched and stressed trying to cope with regular guests as well - during our stay the hotel seemed to be generally understaffed with priority given to wedding parties. |

Nice location, able to walk along the riverbank. bathroom very nice and luxurious. Ferryman was closed, private function, had to eat in the main restaurant. too formal, wanted a pub meal. Choice of rooms offered, either in the old or new part of the hotel. not offered morning paper. |

A high quality hotel probably suited more for the business traveller (Reading is nearby) than the leisure tourist. But staff were efficient and room was comfortable. Bar area has little atmosphere and is very expensive. |

The hotel and bedroom were very clean. We were there for a party and a barbeque was provided which was very good. We thought the cost of the room (£109) was expensive for what we got. It was a nice room but not worth the price. We were expecting a luxury room but it was not much different to a Travel Lodge |
