Had seen better days
Wonderful location very clean comfortable accommodation
Breakfast room staff not very welcoming or informative
Very friendly staff, Very close to centre of Hereford. Very good food with excellent staff always willing to help.
Could do with new carpets in room, bar area lacked atmosphere. But still friendly staff.
location and staff hot water for bath comfy huge bed
room and bathroom decor tired and could have been cleaner
Location, location, location
Creaky and not been upgraded since the early 1900's
Big room Warm and comfortable
Shower not the best Parking for large van an issue
The location is excellent putting you right at the heart of Hereford! The staff were friendly and helpful and the room had everything needed for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
staff helpfull and friendly, room clean, bed lovely in room i stay in.
Great location, no nonsense hotel, which has seen better days, but somehow remains all the more loveable for its shabbiness
Beds are clean but mattress a bit hard. I love the place, but its charm and standards won't be to everyone's taste.
The hotel is based right in the heart of Hereford We were only using the room as a sleeping point as we were visiting family in the area and the rate was good.
The room had many issues and in desperate need of renovation. The Green Dragon used to be a fantastic hotel back in the day and was expecting something better than a budget hotel. I am hoping that we were just unlucky with the room allocation and that other rooms were of a better standard.
The Hotel is a grand old building, no hassle parking and in a great location. Fifty quid a night for a couple represents amazing value for money and all the town centre facilities are on the doorstep, restaurants, shops, bars and cinema all within a five minute walk.
Cannot be to negative here, the place needs an update. However should this happen then no doubt the price will reflect that. So all in all, as it is at the moment it represents great value, so what if the wallpaper is a bit tired, it was still immaculate
When I dined in the dining room the service was excellent. When I chose the bar, the service was very slow because there is only one kitchen! However food in the bar was also excellent
Worn and tired decor
the hotel had a bit of a oldie/worldie look which is a bit more characterful than some on the chain hotels we have stayed in, bed really comfy, proper blackout curtains
not super warm in room tv a bit small
I could not turn radiator down as it was only for the night I didnt ask any one if I was to stay again I would.
The lovely old building with its beautifully proportioned rooms and fantastic location opposite Hereford Cathedral. The friendly receptionist.
The old, chipped bedroom furniture and lack of information pack in the bedroom. The restaurant menu. The lack of any food after the restaurant shuts at 9. The poor service in the lounge where dirty dishes were not cleared away promptly after customers had left.
The location was excellent, staff were friendly, all facilities available. Very interesting building and history.
Hotel a little dated, but it very clean and comfortable.
Room size, lovely old building, location, loads of hot water
Very shabby, very creaky floorboards, big tears in lamp shade, big lumps of dirt(??) in overhead bathroom light, dim lights.
The location is amazing, with the town literally around the corner. It's a beautiful hotel and has the potential to be a very popular destination for visitors to this lovely town, however time, money and effort is needed to achieve this.
On the downside, the building is very neglected and the standard of cleanliness is poor. The restaurant has very limited selection, and is expensive for what you get. We stayed for new year but due to lack of atmosphere or any celebrations had to spend NYE at the pub across the road. Sadly we couldn't recommend it, but hope that the effort will be made to improve this lovely old building.
Great location close to town center. Friendly helpful staff. All you can eat buffet breakfast.
Decor a bit tired and dated.
Lovely old building in a great position!
Dated and very worn carpets and decor. Bathroom very basic and struggled to get a comfortable shower - either too hot or too cold!
had potential but needs investment
a cold night in December, the heating wasn't working and a shortage of portable heaters,
It was alright but main light was really really dim and one of the side lamps didn't work. Also the bath water came out like a greeny colour which was disgusting. The staff at the desk wouldn't fix the lights and the bed was quite springy. So overall it was quite poor. Would strongly consider staying here again!
