It was very convenient for picking up my daughter from University and the cost was reasonable. The swimming pool & gym, whilst small, was a bonus. |

We liked the old traditional style of the house, the room was comfortable and quite well equipped. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. the pool is not very inviting because it is old and a bit dull. Really a pity is that it is not possible to sit in the lovely garden, they have no chairs and seats there for guests. |

The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant. The small size of my single room would be my only very slight criticism but I will certainly stay there again. |

The staff were very helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The bar/lounge area was comfortable and relaxing. The food was good, especially if you have a healthy appetite (I was asked to choose between salad and chips with my pasta carbonara, and luckily I chose salad because there was already a 6" garlic baguette and a large pasta dish full of carbonara!) Rooms were quite dated especially the bathrooms, however everything was functional and clean. There was a rigid policy for table seating in the restaurant where you are not free to choose your own table. |

Location Internet charge at £3.0/hour is probably the most expensive I have encountered anywhere in the world and is totally unwarranted |

Very good location and only a short walk into town. Hotel was clean, the staff were very pleasant and it was lovely to see a well kept and beautiful garden area - shame we didn't visit in the summer months! Good breakfast too! The rooms we had on the ground floor were close to the swimming pool and there was a distinct smell of chlorine. The single rooms we had, although comfortable and well equipped, were very small. |

Upgraded to a double room on arrival. Breakfast is cooked to order, which is unusual these days. Flat screen TVs now installed with Freeview. Good pool and leisure facilities. Friendly staff |

The location was convenient for me. The staff were helpful and cheerfully and quickly solved a room issue, caused by the poor access for a disabled member of the party. Didn't use it, but the pool looked good. Nice views from top floor rooms. Old part of hotel was architecturally interesting, but rooms a bit shabby. Stair acces to the top floor (no lift) was difficult even for the able bodied. Newer downstairs rooms were noisy at night (thin walls) and felt a bit claustrophobic. Breakfast service was a bit slow, but food was ok. |

I did not stay in this hotel, but booked it for others. They were not satisfied and had requested to move to another hotel. It was dirty and the food was very poor. |

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the setting; the availability of a swimming pool/sauna and the food. There was no lift and a very steep stairway to my room, but the staff offered to take my bag. |

We stayed for a two nights, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and a good size, the same applies to the bathroom. the facilities were excellent and a very good beakfast that set us up for the day. The hotel is situated within a short walk to both the town centre and beaches.. Loved our stay and would definately go back. |
