The staff were extremely friendly & helpful & the facilities were great

Nice,clean hotel. Some staff were not very friendly. In fact it was only the chambermaid who said Good Morning.. The breakfast staff did not seem very friendly, if a little miserable. Food- we had the saturday special burger and chips. burger was over cooked and the chips were very small and greasy.. would have been better with home made big chips. Overall the stay suited our purpose, visiting family.

Food not that good. The sink in the en-suite was far too big - and there was a big crack in it. As above it suited the purpose of our stay.

The bathroom was gorgeous nice bath lovely big mirrors. The bed was comfy enough lots of room. Was nice and warm in the room.

Could have done with an extra pillow. If the window was open the traffic got a bit annoying, but this cant really be helped.

Good Staff

The radiator in the bedroom was full on and the temperature adjusters were broken consequently we had a very very uncomfortable night

Helpful & friendly staff. Very pleasant pool and spa area (which we were allowed to use for the next day as well). Easy parking and good location for our business trip. Rooms very warm and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and colleagues.

Tv guide in room could have been a little clearer. Room slightly yoo warm (couldn't find an air con control - not sure if there was one.

Despite a few negative reviews, mainly about the heat,beds and pillows, we found the hotel very comfortable,warm (we could easily turn the heat down at the radiators valve control) and pleasant. Fortunately,we had a rear room which was above a function room which had a wedding party. The music stopped bang on midnight, so there was no problem. The facilities at this hotel are very good, and our Sunday morning breakfast was excellent. We were there for a football match at old trafford, which is only 10/15 minutes away, and would definitely come again.

We had in our party my wife's daughter,husband, 6 year old granddaughter and 7 month old granddaughter. There is a lack of children's food on the menu, and the prices were a bit confusing when we ordered a meal for the six year old.

No bar service for residents. Bar closed at 11 and that was it even though the receptionist assured us we could get a drink on request but she went off duty and her replacement refused to serve us at 11.15. It was a major compliment/favour to suply us with a glass of tap water.

The hotel does have a nice pool, and the week we were there the water was just about the right temperature, although we had heard from other regulars that it can be colder. The jacuzzi was out of action a bit, but was a nice way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. The sauna sometimes was cold, steam room was always available though. The carvery was good value.

We did find the mattress too lumpy and it was sorted. The toilet didn't flush very well, and the shower curtain should be washed more frequently because there was a musty smell in the room. We would definitely stay there again. Make sure you get enough towels for a twin room. We only had one bath towel to share. We also took our own pillows.
