The cosy, family atmosphere made this hotel an excellent choice to celebrate my Father's 80th birthday. There were 11 of us staying - 6 adults and 5 children under 8yrs old. The breakfast was marvellous and gave a fabulous start to the day. |

excelent proximity to the town Breakast was far too expensive, as we were so near the town and could get breakfast less than half the price and of equal quality of that in the hotel we did that. However we would have considered taking it at the hotel if it had been a more competative rate. |

The hotel was in an excellent location. Away from some of the more noisy areas, yet only a short walk to the main high street, shops, restaurant's, theatre's, river etc. We had a family room which was really lovely. Very nice decor, plenty of room, good facilities, the beds were very comfortable & the room was very clean. We would definitely stay again. Certain reception desk staff although efficient were not particularly friendly or welcoming. We declined the offer of breakfast. At £12.50 a head, we thought this was a little excessive, when 3 minutes away you can get one for half that price. |

The hotel is a lot larger than you may think from first viewing, and the reception staff are very courteous and efficient. ALL the staff we met (either reception, bar, dining room or room service) treated us as if we were the only guests, and nothing could be a problem to them. Although there was a problem with the in-house radio signal (not the TV) , there was a notice about this at the reception desk, and there were clearly signs that the problem was being fixed. We had breakfast in the room (small extra charge - very clearly advertised) and the tray was missing the butter. One quick call to the reception, and the missing butter arrived within 2 minutes - despite our room being one of those furthest from the kitchens. The car parking is not as generous as some, and can quickly fill up. Some Stratford hotels have previously allowed us to stay in the car park on our checkout day whilst we stay in the town for a few hours, but on this occasion we were unable to as the hotel was fully booked.Couldn't see any sign of a lift (although I didn't ask as we didn't need one) to make it easier for less able guests to get to the rooms. |

The room was very clean but was not cleaned until late on our second day. Staff were very helpful. It was difficult to get bar service around lunch time. The room was very hot despite heating being off. Unable to open windows to cool it down. |

It's location, a few minutes walk from the centre of town was ideal. The bar staff were very friendly. The room could have been cleaner. There were large cobwebs hanging from the central light and the curtains. The TV didn't work with the external aerial and we had to use the internal aerial. The picture was awful. When mentioning it on the Friday night we were told digital TV was being installed & it would be sorted in the morning. On saturday morning we were telephoned & asked to leave our room as the TV repair firm needed to get into the room. On return in the evening nothing had been done. On departure I pointed out the inconvenience & asked if there was anything that could be done. The duty manager said she could only discount by £10 as she didn't have the authority to do any more than that. I'm currently awaiting to speak with |

The hotel it's was very well presented. I particularly liked the fact that by surprise we were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost and on no request from us. The staff at Breakfast were especially friendly and yet very professional. |

The staff were polite friendly and helpful, food varied, hot and tasty. The main hotel areas were clean comfortable and relaxing, and it was extremely convenient to the town. The bathroom was a bit shabby with marks on the ceiling, grime round the overflow in the bath and the bath grab rail was broken. (I did fill in a form and put it in the box at reception.) |

We liked the way we could have a 2 course pre-theatre early dinner with the dessert in the bar after the performance. The food quality was excellent. The coffee, which was served to us in the bar on two occasions was luke-warm. |
