Not the nicest bar for relaxing

Ideal position for Stratford inc limited parking paying for parking
Paying for parking after booking room
Staff very friendly Executive room, nice and clean. Lovely extras with water and chocolate bar on the fridge.
Breakfast wasn't as good as it used to be, not as tasty but ok. Plenty of choice
Close to the theatre
Room a little shabby.
Location of hotel for access to stratford town and tourist areas very good. Lucky enough to get a parking space on hotel car park. Easy to find.
The only dislike was the two xmas parties taking place the night we stayed. We were told we were well away from any noise but not so. We could hear the disco, hear the announcements being made, feel the vibration on the floor. This went on until after midnight. We complained to reception but although they were sympathetic there was nothing they could do. However the next morning when we asked to see the Manager he was very apologetic and polite and gave a refund of half the cost of our stay. Although this couldn't change the disturbance of the night before we felt that our complaints had been taken on board and the compensation adequate.
I had asked to check in early and check out late. Sheets and blankets in 1 of the rooms not quilts. All of the requests were not done despite an e mail from yourselves saying that the would.
The hotel is old but nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and no fault could be found.
We were at the front of the hotel and heard traffic all night. However, we live in a rural area along a half mile of private lane and our nearest neighbours are 1 mile away so we would have found the same problem anywhere and don't blame the hotel.
Excellent facilities for disabled guests. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Comfortable rooms. Tasty food.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Pretty bar area but but small as a wedding was taking place
Not enough seating areas
The staff, excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. The premises were beautiful and made the stay extra special. A big point for me was being able to have a hot bath due to higher hand rail to help me get out. We will return. 0h, and the breakfast was lovely
The only down point was the menu. If I had realised I'd have eaten in my room and had bar menu. The food portion was odd. My Turkey meal was too big. My friends sea bass was very disappointing. Far too small and 6 new potatoes for a man's appetite. Such a shame. Improve please. But I will come back anyway.
The hotel was well maintained & being painted during our stay. Reception staff were all very helpful & welcoming
Only a small point but the service at breakfast was not as good as in some other hotels. Although very nice the staff were slow to come & take orders & didn't clear plates from the table during the meal.
the room was clean and tidy, the room was warm, the bed was comfortable, and clean, the staff very helpful, the food, first class.the hotel close to the main shops. we all had a very nice weekend, Fred Greaves 11-12- 2014
Everything, breakfast was excellent eat as much as you like.staff very friendly and helpful. Situated right in the centre however off the busy road so at night very quiet. Definatly go back.
location, breakfast, very clean and tidy.
Telly in room to small, lack of car parking spaces. Broken tile in the bathroom, very sharp tile. On reporting this, the receptionist already knew.
as review headlined
Three rooms until we were satisfied and then the room was small.Hotel offered a better room if we paid an additional 15 pounds Having stayed overnight the hotel levied a three pound parking charge below the belt to say the least
We've previously been able to stay in the hotel and the same room for £85 not sure why it has increased by so much in such a short timeframe.
The staff could not do enough for you. Even as far as going out to buy a banana for a baby to have for his afternoon tea! Hotel was clean and well decorated, loved the xmas decorations.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with wide choice. Have stayed here before and the Grosvenor is now our first choice of hotel when staying in Stratford.
Car parking charges. Wi-Fi so so.
Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly reception and breakfast staff. All were happy to chat generally as well as about their business. Very professional in everything.
all services were very good.
no fitted sheets to lie on in bed. unfitted sheets get crumpeled
Early morning deliveries
Easy walking distance to centre. Clean, comfortable room. Quiet room backing onto car park. Early check-in and late check-out. Good, cooked to order breakfast although a little expensive.
On arrival I was told that I was 'room only'. When I queried this the receptionist agreed that I had booked breakfast as an extra. My gluten free request was on the booking form but there was no acknowledgement or pro-activity to deal with it. It was unclear when booking that I had to pay for car parking, or that the extra cost for breakfast for a double room was priced per person.
Close proximity to RSC and quays. Walking distance to town centre.
Car parking was very difficult. Just not enough spaces.
