Decor requires an update. Ok for a short business trip, wouldn't stay for leisure.

The bed was comfy and the restaurant staff friendly. Watch out for rattling winds from the wind.

Large car park. Comfortable and convenient room. Nice breakfast - all food prepared freshly and service good. No lift. In room - heated towel rail was not hot and we could not turn it on.

Quite centrally located hotel - nice entrance hall and stairwell and decently decorated breakfast room - shame about the rooms Room was very tired looking - wall paper peeling in a number of places, curtains not attached to rail (clip was actually on the window sill)/ Bathroom had one wall light which was very dim especially when in the shower and mould around the bath seal. Breakfast on the first morning took 20mins to arrive and the order was wrong - then took another 10 minutes. The second day's breakfast arrived as ordered but the mushrooms and tomatoe were stone cold - very poor buffet display

Staff were friendly and helpful. Italian Restaurant was excellent and very good value Difficult to find - frontage just has the Italian restaurant featured. Possibly the gloomiest hotel we have ever stayed in - too dark. Corridor lights upstairs were off - we had to grope our way to the bedroom

Great choice of breakfast items, and the restaurant was very good for an evening meal. The outside could do with repainting, and the roof above the revolving entrance door had a leak, so water was dripping through as we walked in.

Staff were friendly, very helpful. Shower kept stopping and starting, I think it's meant to do this as my colleague also had the same problem. Just needs a sign somewhere saying this is normal and it'd be acceptable.

It was veryclean and tidy. The room was comfortable, the restaurant was good and the breakfast was substantial. All in all, good value for money I was on the second floor so a lift would have been an advantage

The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Going by the name of the Best Western. The locals all know the hotel as Highfield Hotel. Neither the bus nor the taxi knew of the hotel and it was only a couple living close to the hotel knew of the name change.
