It was near town and with good transport links and near some walk paths Toilet in the room I was in was not steady, could have been a health and safety issue. One of the screws that holds the toilet to the floor was not there at all and the other was loose. Also the window did not shut properly which meant there was draft especially being as windy as it was. Moreover the door between the room 71 and the next room could be opened and you could hear everything in the next room even if it was shut. Also the chair wobbled and was not sturdy.

Clean, The lack of staff at reception is the only thing I did not like, check in is strictly after 14.00pm but most of the time there is no one in reception just a telephone link to the bar area. And some of the rooms that my family had booked were not ready until after 15.00pm breakfast was poor due to the lack of staff serving.

It was very basic, but nowhere near as bad as I had feared from some of the reviews I had read - in short, you get what you pay for! This was ideally placed for a night out and was just a place to rest my head - the room was tidy and clean enough, the shower was hot and that's all I needed really.

Bed was comfortable, crisp white linen and room was clean. Tea and coffee making facilities always welcome.and the strict non smoking policy. Window would not close and staff fixed it immediately.Breakfast was average but we really enjoyed the evening meal we had [fish] .Hotel was nice and quiet. For the money it was very good and we would recommend it. We found the room too hot and the duvet too warm but you cant please everyone and better than being too cold! There was only one coat hanger but as we were only staying 2nights we didn't bother to ask for more. Bathroom needed updating and did not like fixed shower head.

Suitably situated for a wedding I was attending. My room was very small but the bed was really comfortable and adequate for my short one night stay. The shower was extremely small and just about enough space to wash in. Breakfast was good value and staff efficient . check in was not allowed before 2pm which was time critical for me as the wedding was at 3pm. Had to rush to wash and change as although I arrived at at 1.15 no staff to allow flexibility .

the room itself was very good and the staff... well what can i say, nothing was to much trouble for them what you asked for you got with a smile... exellent service. we had adjoining rooms which was convenient but our single room shower head was constantly dripping and the bottom of the shower screen was mouldy. our double room bath tiles were coming off the wall and the shower head was also dripping

I thought the Hotel provided everything we were looking for our two day visit to attend a Wedding at Whipsnade Zoo function Rooms. The staff were very pleasant, in particular the Receptionist who was very pleasant and helpful getting us a Taxi. I had read a couple of poor comments about the Hotel but I could not find fault with it considering the price we paid which was very good. The food was good and cheap. I would certainly return again.

Nothing. Room was cold, no proper heating, and was moved to another room and it was noisey with water pipes makinh noise did not sleep all night. Checked into hotel at 6 P.M. No bus servie from Dunstable. It was about a 15 mins walk up hill with bags cause of bank holiday. There was no heat in raditor only a blow fan heater, room was very small. I complained at 7 P.m about no heat in room and was told it would come on later. It hadn't come on at 8 P.m so I complained again they said (Bar staff) it would come on at 10 P.M. It didn't so I complained again they said they would send someone to my room noone came till 11p.M. As I suffer with arthritis and allergic rhinitis a blow fan heater is no good to me. They moved me at 11.30pm to room 38 and there was water pipes making noise all night. Had to check out next day as I was exhausted and could not stay another night. They refused to return the money I had paid for 3 nights. The weather was very cold over Easter.

Room was basic but beds and towels really clean. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom a bit dated but very clean. Only down side to the room was that the full length mirror was badly broked at the bottom with very sharp edges. Found out from staff that it was the previous occupier that was returning on the Monday to pay for the damage. All well and good but really the mirror should have been removed as was very dangerous. Staff in the restaurant were are a young group, extremely hardworking and very attentive. Meals in the pub were very good value for money and it was nice to be able to have a meal, share a bottle of wine and just walk up to our bedroom. Ideally located for shopping in Milton Keynes and day trips to Dunstable Downs, Whipsnade and Woburn. Would return at the price we paid as it was very good value for money. Only downside was as above - the cracked and jagged mirror in the bedroom

Comfortable and clean beds, tea making facilities in the room and tv. Location suited our purposed and the bar and restaurant on site was handy. Standard of bathroom - black mould at the back of bath, dripping old shower head, broken lino on floor mended with tape. Breakfast finished too early 9.30 on Sunday morning. Made to feel second class visitors because we had booked on line at a cheaper rate, no flexibility of rooms so my 75 year old mother was on the other side of the hotel to us and up flights of stairs, not ideal at all.

Our stay was what it was. A room, bathroom and resturant on site. We paid £25 for a twin room for 1 night. We were on a course nearby and it did the job for one night, I wouldn't want to stay for longer. I had to call for a receptionist when we arrived who later was working in the bar, beds were like bouncy castles with a single duvet in a double sheet...?? The bathroom was questionable. Needs a re-vamp. I would recommend a discount on breakfast in the restaurant for quests staying. It did the job for one night for the price, if that's what ur looking for. All round ok hotel if ur not looking for frills just a place to sleep.
