The location for easy access to Shepton Mallet and the Royal Bath Showground. Very Friendly and Welcoming Staff. Good Food. Apart from a cramped bedroom the overall feeling of the Inn was very good.

The Twin Bedded Room was a little cramped with no easy chairs to sit in if relaxing. The Towel Rail in the bathroom was not on.

Quiet position. Comfortable room, beds, and tea/coffee making facilities. Television good. Easy access to town Evening meal very good.

I thought the shower facility needed a bit of up-dating.

Good pub atmosphere and food.

Access to room some stairs steep and without handrail very small shower room no chair in bedroom and smell of room freshener generally obtrusive.

One night stay and suited our situation.

Stairs Settling the bill on arrival. Food in general was nothing special.

Easy to get to - good parking - staff friendly. Good all round no frills hotel. Just the base we needed for touring

Smells from the fields but that's only becasue of the season activity of the adjoining farmer. Did not affect us that much. You could not smell the manure once inside the hotel.

Pauline, the landlady was very friendly and made us feel very welcome/chatted at breakfaast time. Food was excellent

Staff upon arrival weren't very friendly and just showed us to our room, didn't say a lot, and left us there. Bathroom was slightly dirty with lots of built up dust in extractor fan, small hairs in shower upon arrival.

Airy, clean, pleasant throughout. Only there one night, but would definitely recommend it to others. Good food. Breakfast from 07.00am, which is a plus.

Quite close to a busy A road.

Ideal locaton for show ground.

Very friendly welcome, even though it was 11pm. They also welcomed two other guests who arrived after us.

Lots of steep stairs and corridor with low ceiling -- but this added to the charm. It is not a standard chain motel.

The room was clean and comfortable. The large shower cubicle. The full English Breakfast was excellent.

The size of the TV in the room. When lying on the bed you could not see the picture properly.You could only see it when sitting up.

Every one was courteous,and the food was excellent with a fine service at all times.

No chairs in the bedroom.

Some of the feedback comments we read about staff etc. were a bit off-putting but ignore them. New management as of January, very friendly and attentive, food, service, prices all excellent. A family-run business ideal for family visitors. There was a 50th birthday party on but that did not affect service and we could hear nothing from our room so slept very well. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation.

Nothing at all, a very enjoyable all round experience. We'll be back.

Comfortable rooms, immitation log fire

Overcooked food, complaint just responded with a sorry.

Comfortable and very warm,which given weather was welcome. Beefand Ale pie very good. Good parking. Good value for overnight stop.

Literature in bedroom stated real ale bar, but only two beers on one of which was national brand.Shame but otherwise fine

The way the staff had to deal with your failure to book both nights.

The way your staff on the customer help desk spoke to me and the receptionist. Would not book through you again through choice.

Everything was very acceptable - the room was warm on a very cold day. Absolutely right for us attending a surprise 70th at a different venue. Easy to find with large car park.Would stay again if in the area.
