The hotel had loads of character, and the staff were friendly and happy to help. Unfortunately, not only was there no food available on a Sunday night, but the bar was not open.

Nice old hotel, close to the Castle. We were participating the Waendel Walk, and it was very close to the start place. The room was nice and it was light with two windows. The personel very nice and polite. Food was very good The pud was never open while our stay, but there were other pubs close by.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was really nice and they made poached eggs to order which was an added bonus. Handing the keys in everytime we went out.

Quiet room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. The bed was to close to the door (rm 303) and it's difficult to get the bags in. The bathroom fan was too noisy and took it's time to switch off.

Nice quiet room with v good facilities - very cosy. Good staff, lovely breakfast and they also looked after my suitcase for a few hours when I wanted to stay in the town after checking out. Lucky to get quiet room as there was a wedding party on. It didn't disturbe me, however. Slight difference in price but only £2 more - irritating.

Breakfast was stone-cold. The staff knew the food warmers were not working, so why did they continue to use them instead of cooking breakfasts to order?

Lovely old building in centre of town. Restaurant offers good food at reasonable prices. Shabby carpets, generally rather run down decoration other than the bar/restaurant. Cracked basin in room.

Liked the price and the history of the building. Found the rooms large and the service super friendly. The bed was a bit lumpy. A work colleague told me the next day it was in the news as they'd neglected to renovate it to the suitable standard...I'd stay there again for the price I paid.

Nice hotel and good food. WiFi available throughout hotel and was warm despite sub-zero temperatures outside. Staff were excellent Car park is a little hard to get into and not sure there is many other places nearby to park for free, although after the restaurant shut most of the spaces had freed-up. (Note to get into the car park you have to take the road before the hotel, otherwise you'll have to do another lap of the one-way system.

The location was ideal for us as it was convenient for the New Years party we attended. The hotel has a long history and this is explained in various parts of the hotel. En Suite could do with modernisation although it was clean and the shower worked.

The outside of the hotel looks quite grand however this is not reflected on the inside. The hotel room was the worst I have ever stayed in! We were originally in 111 where the wall paper was literally falling off the walls (I have photographic evidence that I am willing to share) and the bathroom was so unhygienic with ground in dirt. The room also has an extremely unpleasant odour of which I would not like to describe. We asked to move room and were put in room 202 of which was not much better. The only imporvement in this room was that the wall paper was reasonably in tact. To be honest I am completely amazed that the Hind hotel feel that rooms of this standard are fit for humans. The only reason we were staying was because we had our works Christmas party therefore had no choice. The bathrooms were extremely unsanitary, with ground in dirt and unclean showever curtains. It is such a shame that this lovely building is not being maintained. The hall ways were smelly and the are stains on the walls. I visit that I would like to forget. I did raise my concerbs when we checked out and they were only willing to reduce the price by £8 - disghusting! I will never be using this hotel and I will be informing my friends not to stay here.
