Helpfulness of staff. Good size of room, pleasant patio area, excellent restaurant,
Room 37 is a lovely spacious suite which was well set up with a separate pull out bed for our daughter. The lady who checked us in was friendly and welcoming Full English breakfast was gorgeous
Minor thing but the windows could have done with blinds...
patio and outside seating area, friendly and helpful staff
Upgraded from junior suite to full
Friendly staff. Beautiful building, great restaurant with great food
Only stayed one night
Excellent welcome, comfortable beds and quiet clean rooms.
Best in the west ,the room had lots off room ,bathroom had shower and bath . Food very good .
Very friendly welcome at reception and very helpful staff in restaurant and bar. Comfortable bedroom and very good food.
Restaurant and bar too small for capacity of hotel/number of guests.
Beautiful location Excellent service Delicious food
restaurant bar atmosphere excellent. spacious rooms lovely view
No twin rooms available so we had free upgrade and extra bed put into room - for myself and elderly mother. Restaurant food very good.
From the moment I arrived I loved it here. Staff were fantastic and friendly, room was spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed. I will definitely be returning.
Lack of 'light bite' options on the restaurant menu for people (adults) with small appetites.
The hotel was lovely. It was quiet and beautifully clean. The room was a decent size which is unusual for a family room. The extra bed was sturdy also not like the normal 'put me up' 'z' bed type that are often put in hotels rooms for the third person. The room had patio doors leading out onto patio with table and chairs which was lovely. The menu was extensive and there was flexibility about which room to sit in. The staff were lovely.
The food quality was inconsistent. The first night was first class the second was good but not to the same standard. After the first class meal the first evening we were expecting the breakfast to be of the same standard but we were disappointed by it. The poached eggs in particular were very rubbery. The croissants and pain au chocolat were like bullets on the first morning but were excellent on the second. If the food was consistently to the same standard then it would have been perfect.
Upgraded to an apartment which was fantastic as we had a little one with us and meant we had a kitchen and lounge and could spend time as an extended family together. Food was very nice in the bar/restaurant and at breakfast. Service, attitude of staff and friendliness was second to none despite the fact that it appears to be a very small team being run off their feet.
We liked the garden room very much, very roomy and well appointed. Bathroom was excellent. Staff were excellent particularly on reception.
Soggy garlic bread with chilli. More care could have been taken with this, chilli was delicious but then to be served garlic bread that so obviously had just been taken from the freezer and microwaved was disappointing .
Although the bar was closed when we arrived we were still able to enjoy a gin and tonic outside in the sun after our 4 hour journey
Huge space looking onto paddocks with horses (room 24). Breakfast was fabulous with a variety of hot food cooked on the spot for you. Staff were friendly and the place was spotless.
The rooms were hot. We kept the windows and doors open which helped and had the fan on at night which was lovely b The internal doors into the kitchen and bathroom were self closing which made the kitchen unbearable when we were cooking meals and had to prop the doors open.
Fantastic speed Wi-fi, really impressed. Lovely rooms Wonderful staff. Food was great.
Tray charge for room service. Food available quite late (7pm) in restaurant. Extractor fan in bathroom was really loud.
welcoming friendly staff. excellent food comfortable bed .
could do with better bath mats.
No air conditioning
Parking on site, Reception was efficient, the restaurant was good and the staff very friendly.
only that the mini bar fridge did not work.
Excellent staff, especially Sarah on reception. She took the trouble to contact the wedding location to clarify timings for the end of the celebrations and arranged transport for us both ways! The attached restaurant/bar was also excellent with a great breakfast and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble!
Sadly, some of the cleanliness within the room was poor. The attention to detail regarding dust was lacking!
A nice clean hotel with good accommodation. Nice restaurant with good food.
Gentleman on Reception was really friendly and helpful Very clean Good breakfast Nice location
