Clean and tidy, well equipped hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Have used this hotel several times through the summer for business and the excellent standard has been consistent each time. Will be staying here again in the future.
What I liked the most was the staff. The two gentlemen at the front were really friendly and helpful. One of them showed me around and explained all the rules of the hotel. I also liked how clean they kept the bathrooms during our stay. We got shared bathrooms and they remained spotless the whole weekend.
Shower in the room
Beds, brakfust was only 3 pieces and everyvthe same, no hame ore egs
Good location and facililties
Cold shower! On top floor so couldn't get hot water and no time to wait for the shared bathroom.
The staff was friendly
The price was too high compared to the city's area
The hotel was very clean and had a lovely kitchen. The shower room was also clean and moden. Great budget acomadation would return
The area its in let's it down but don't judge it till you stay
Staff was nice and friendly and we could get free up grade to en-suite room. It was a bit far from elephant & castle station by foot, especially with luggages so that I recommend you to take 343 bus from the station and get off at Alsace Rd (I'm not sure about the bus stop name).
the owners seemed friendly and willing to please. The bathroom facilities the toilet shower wash basin were new however very reduced space. There was a washing machine and dryer in a kitchen for laundry
the kitchen was not well ventilated and very hot.the bathroom was too small and was difficult to move in. Two people could not fit comfortably in the room with a double bed. One side of the bed was against the world with your window. It was very noisy at night
seems not safe
We stayed for a week and had an excellent time! Great value overall! It was easy to get anywhere around London from this hotel; only a 15-20 minute walk to Elephant and Castle, or you can take one of several buses that stop right out front. Clean rooms, friendly staff, full kitchen with all appliances & cookware. We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice staff Kitchen and bathroom excellent Very clean
Shared bathroom & shared toilet Noisy neighbours upstairs
great location, staff friendly and helpful , nice pub , friendly atmosphere
Arrived at Hotel to find it was not as expected and the room smelt damp and discusting. After telling reception it was not good enough, left and handed back keys. Hotel still refuses to return any of the money for the 4 nights (over £450) which I think is outrageous
Close to bus station, mini fridge has shared kitchen
Bad area, shared bathroom
this pub is exactly what you expect from the reviews. It's like staying at the Queen Vic in Eastenders. Only the staff are very friendly Romanians !! The locals are great and the highlight of the stay. Taking into account the low car parking charges. the price is good.
Trying to get a cab in the morning was very difficult. Noise levels were quite high also.
Good location, TV, free wifi, nice kitchen with all possible supplies, nice shower.
Very hot water in the shower, couldn't make it colder. Squeaking bed:)
Location is not good enough, but thanks there is a bus station out there.
Cleanliness and staff
Location and look from outside On council estate and not a hotel.
Really nice place to stay. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets fresh and clear all the time. We never used the kitchen but it seemed well equipped and furnished. The room was decent, nothing special but fine for the price. The location didn't look unsafe at all to me - we came back to the hotel late every night and never noticed anything even remotely dangerous.
Because people tend to read negative comments I'll post it here - not really a complaint but a tip from me: The bust stop next to the hotel isn't really convenient, instead just go to Old Kent Road (just few minutes walking) (Dunton Road bus stop) and you'll find lots of direct buses to most London sights.
Fantastic staff, nice pub downstairs, very clean
Far from the city centre and the metro station. The surroundings didn't look safe.
Cheap and cheerful! The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. It's a short bus ride into Elephant and Castle, and the bus stops right in front of the building, and runs 24 hours.
The amenities are good, you have a fridge in the room (very useful) and it has a common kitchen and loundry.
The location is not very good but just in the corner you have a bus that takes you to the Tower of London and there you can connect whit other buses to go anywhere in town.
Bus outside that went directly to a tube station -elephant and castle
Area, wouldn't recommend at night, pub attached dirty and run down.first impression dread!accommodation quarters a better surprise and seemed safer adequate if on a budget.
Handy for bus routes - comfortable and clean
Checking in at bar - proprietor demanded ID and intimated I wouldn't be allowed to stay, despite having paid up front by credit card, unless I had ID - should have been a listed requirement on booking.com - just a bit odd
