Rooms are a cosy size but lovely contemporary decor. Staff are lovely very willing to help. Good breakfast. Excellent location - easy to walk to main sights and shopping. I was in room 108 which is situated above the door to a very popular nightclub. Hence I had a very disturbed night including a fight below my window. The staff were very nice and as helpful as possible when I pointed this out the next day but were unable to move me as the hotel was full. I was moved the next day and my new room was excellent with no noise issues. I think if you are someoe who is quite happy to party until late there would be no problem, but people with children or who are in Edinburgh to work on a Friday or Saturday - might be better elsewhere. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived before check in time and left our cases at reception, when we checked in at 2pm the bags had been put in the room for us. There was nothing we did not like, just a couple of points about the room that could be improved. Firstly the only electrical sockets in the room were in a plug bank on the floor at the side of the dressing table and were awkward to reach. We had to put the kettle on the floor to boil it. Secondly, then bath is quite high and I found it difficult to get out of without slipping. I have a problem with balance and had to hold on to the shower screen to get out. A small hand rail on the wall would be helpful. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable and nicely done out. |

Excellent location for a city break. Very friendly & helpful staff. Whilst the rooms were small they were perfectly adequate & well decorated Our rooms were at the rear & rather noisy early in the morning & during the night, but to be fair to the hotel, the noise came from people in the street & from the department store behind the hotel. As regards the rooms, why were there no teaspoons on the hospitality trays & room 107 did not have a hair drier. |

The bathroom was very nice and the bath was fantastic. Our twin room was so small we had to move the bed to open the fridge! Only one person could walk around the room at a time. £12.50 for the breakfast was really excessive. |

The hotel room was comfortable and quite clean. The bathroom was lovely and spacious. The restaurant was great and the staff were friendly. Our room was uncomfortably hot and there were not two bottles of complimentary water in the fridge like it said there would be in the book. Other than that, I was very happy with our room. |

The hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. When I asked to be moved to a different room due to the noise level of the club, my request was accommodated without any problems. My room (110) was directly above the bar/club and the music was very loud into the wee hours of the morning. House keeping could have done a better job of cleaning. |

I must compliment the staff. Because we had an early flight and arrived in Edinburgh at 8am we went straight to the hotel to deposit our bags. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They took our mobile number and said they would call immdediately when the room was ready as they understood we had had an early start. True to their word they called at 10.30. The sheets were stained on one of the beds. |
