Comfortable bed. Lovely outlook. Quiet
Shower was a nightmare
Staff-couldn't be faulted View- ocean view fabulous Pool-lovely Food -delicious
Lift- totally inadequate for a hotel this size No information folder in bedroom
Reception areas and staff. Evening meal and dining area. The Receptionist was willing to take up our complaint with the Manager, even though we were only staying for one night.
The room[ 205] was dirty - except the bedding - especially the toilet and bathroom which was quite frankly - disgusting and photos show this. The room had a view of the sea, through dirty windows, but what was very off-putting was piles of bird droppings outside the windows which looked as if they had been there for months, at least. The entire buffet breakfast was cold as were the plates and other guests in a party also commented on this. After an excellent evening meal this was a real disappointment.
Really nice staff, superb location, large clean and comfy rooms with thick walls, really nice swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and steam room, Hythe a 5 minuet walk, good food, went there as a customer and left as a friend.
the hotel was lovely
The staff they really made us feel unwelcome this was booked as a birthday present along with a stay in the Kent Safari Park I know were I would book again .........
comfortable bed. good breakfast. polite and helpful staff.
No biscuits with the tea /coffee in the room. Torn net curtain in room 227.
We were given a very small room on the top (4th) floor whilst our children were three floors below. When I complained to the manager, Shashi, he quickly arranged for us to move to a gorgeous spacious room on the first floor too. Delighted with his attention!
Original room was grotty - I was amazed that anyone would stay there.
Some staff were very polite and helpful Restaurant food was good. Room was comfortable with excellent views. Reception staff were very good.
Some staff appeared to be doing as little as possible. Bar food was variable Spaghetti Bolognaise was dry and tasteless. Shower was pathetic, pillows were uncomfortable. Spa was tired.
I was in room 009,the room itself was good but the state of the carpet let it down badly.
Lovely location and beach...hotel very good, friendly staff, tired decor but very clean. Would definitely go again.
Location and surroundings
Poor room very tatty, shower not powerful, cleanliness very poor, carpet dirty in room and had not been hoovered. Bed moved easily. Decor was old and outdated.
Fantastic reception staff Other staff friendly and attentive
Had to request a change of room Stained carpets Peeling wallpaper Very limited wine list
Trying to get a lunchtime drink just behind the golf club members with just one not very experienced bar person. Had travelled seventy miles, gasping for a drink. Had to wait twenty minutes to get served. TWENTY MINUTES. Otherwise loved the hotel
Staff well trained.
Hotel needs a refurbishment Smelly/damage around the edges Restaurant too cramped, uninviting. Food, very average
The room needed repair and food a disgrace and very dirty it puts the uk to shame.
Poor cleaning of rooms, mould in bathroom, tired decor, ripped wall paper very overpriced for such a poor state.
Overall quality of staff - extremely polite and helpful.
Temperature of the rooms - in spite of being next to the beach with a constant breeze, and all heating turned off - the rooms were opresively hot, particularly at night.
Rooms, bars, gym, swimming pool, restaurant and friendly/helpfull staff
restictive wifi, only one device per room per night. Rooms by main staircase/ballroom noisy when functions/weddings taking place at weekends
no a/c in a very hot room bed
Nice comfy room and breakfast especially was divine thank you!
Enjoyed our anniversary meal! Loved our walk on Sunday morning along the seafront. Learnt to swim!!!!
Was looking forward to using jacuzzi but wasn't in use.
swimming pool facilities were great. Having a sea view added to the experience. Breakfast & dinner were excellent.
We had a fantastic late summer stay at the Mercure Hythe Imperial Hotel & Spa. We found the spa facilities clean and well maintained, and the hotel's position on the sea front great for an early evening and morning stroll - well removed from the usual arcades and 'kiss-me-quick' hats of the English sea-side... The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was a good size. All-in-all a great escape for the weekend.
loved the sea views
