Score from 1184 reviews Very good
Pool facilities free with booking. Right by the seashore for nice walks and a good view. Not far from town centre and other shopping centres in the area.
Dinner is pricey if not included with stay. Wifi only lasts for 24 hours then it needs another code.
Only one small lift
Love staying at this hotel always a pleasure and would always recommend it to others
The staff were really efficient and friendly and we were delighted that we were given a room with a sea view. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were really helpful and attentive.
The bathroom was in need of some updating including the fan which which unbelievably noisy. Although there was a sea view, we could scarcely see it because the windows were so dirty.
position by the sea and general appearance of the building inside and out
the double bed was 2 single beds pushed together with a cover over, and you had to be careful not to go down middle of them
42 pound a good price for a nights stay , clean room
staff at kazzbar I would be surprised if they have ever worked a bar before awfull no body language or a clue how to read a bar , I would even be as awfull to say they lacked the intelligence to deal with any social interaction .
Great value for money. Free parking, and wifi is always an added bonus
Very good. Very comfortable. Good location, extremely reasonable. Good breakfast. Would definitely recommend
Friendly staff that actually acted like they wanted to be at work, grand setting but not at all snobby and a very relaxed atmosphere.
Arrived rather late so didn't get to enjoy spa facilities but that is no reflection on the hotel at all. Had problems connecting to wifi but worse things happen at sea.
Being up-graded to a suite. A good supply of magazines in the room, fast attention when the kettle blew a fuse, a good blend of the old and the new.Very quiet.
Breakfast room was cold. The dressing gowns supplied were really heavy and obviously well - washed as not very soft.
The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and polite and the spa facilities certainly made the stay bearable.
The room was tired and basically depressing and not particularly clean. I asked at reception and they advised me that all the rooms were like that but refurbishment was taking place. The restaurant EXTREMELY disappointing. The pricing was dear, but This did not worry me, as that was part of our stay, the main course was sent back.totally unfit to eat. Another couple also complained. The breakfast was comprised of cheap products, and not particularly enjoyable. Although I heard others complaining,to themselves, they did not to the extremely pleasant staff. I would not recommend this hotel.
The location of the hotel. The staff The vintage feel of the hotel on arrival.
We didn't get clean sheets or bathroom Smellies for the whole 4 days we stayed there. It appears the facilities are open to the public which means they are over crowded and the swimming pool was needed to be shut down and re built.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was great. It was a lovely weekend away.
Clean hotel, friendly staff. Happy to check in our bags as we arrived early. Nice room with a good view.
Room was fairly small, seemed like the there where only two lifts in the building so have up waiting to use them as they where always busy. Long walk to 5th floor.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Very clean. Near the sea front. Good restaurant - but a little overpriced.
Needs some redecoration which they are in the process of doing. The mattress was rather hard., but the staff put a duvet over it which helped. They said they will be replacing all the mattresses soon.
Gym facilities Breakfast (and selection available) Helpful staff
Standard of the room - for the price paid I would have expected a higher standard of room. Extremely old fashioned. Several floor tiles in bathroom cracked. Mould around bath. Carpet in room worn and coming up. The twin beds were a single guest bed separated so that one mattress hung over the edge of the bed and was bigger than the other. Overall décor and furniture dated. Heating inconsistent. Restaurant closed due to Xmas parties so had to order room service which was limited and a charge incurred for delivery to room (this should have been waived on this occasion as restaurant closed?)
Friendly, courteous welcome good night's sleep size of bathroom!
What's not to like!!!!
The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. The cuisine was excellent - a good range of dishes at breakfast; dinner was delicious but expensive. Plenty of hot water and the CH system worked well. Thank you.
OK. It would be nice to have had some bread, rolls or otherwise with dinner - crispbreads just don't cut it. Please could we have the full Freeview spectrum available in guest rooms not what management thinks we want to watch. Sky news would help, at least.
- We have been to the hotel before & were upgraded to a junior suite - Decided on an evening bar meal & the beef burger was well presented & delicious
Drinks are a bit pricey but normal for a hotel
Great location for the channel tunnel, right on the beach, rooms older but being updated floor by floor, and older ones are still comfortable, but do not look anything like the nicer photos on this site. Breakfast was great, and well worth the money as there aren't really other places to eat nearby. Spa was pleasant although in need of some updating (which seems to be happening), main floor public areas updated and look great. Food from the main bar (we didn't try the coast restaurant) was excellent. Room was very quiet, no issues with having window open all night.
Hot tub in the spa was decidedly lukewarm, spa changing rooms were under construction so the gents room had no toilets!
location friendly and efficient staff
poorly signed to get there
Location is good Breakfast is excellent
Rooms a bit tatty, need some TLC Stains on soft furnishings
Spa filthy and a health hazard! wet floors, no lights working in showers, hair and used ladies sanitary towels in changing room. Steam room to hot and spa pool to cold. Room we stayed in had faulty window so would not fully close so was very noisy. Shame as we stayed here last year as was so much nicer
Great staff, great location will stay there regularly and great service.
First room we were shown to had a dirty bath... asked for it to be cleaned or room changed and we were put into a superior room which was excellent... i think the bath incident was just a one off....
Very friendly and efficient staff. The hotel had a feeling of timeless quality about it. Very warm room and hot water. Excellent location on the beach, near the Channel Tunnel and within walking distance of high street amenities. Excellent value for money.
The bed was just a little on the soft side, but this is my own personal taste as I like a hard bed. Breakfast at £15 was a complete non-starter.
