The Room was excellent warm and homely, ideal to relax in after a cold brisk walk along the seafront. The location at Hove was close enough for to walk into Brighton past the countless quirky shops eating places and Bars to make the 15 min walk to the main Brighton shopping area seem like no time at all. Public transport buses were on average every 3min into Brighton if you don't fancy the walk. The staff particularly Bruno were more than helpful and good at their jobs. Room service was good, over all we would stay there again . Quiet location but close enough to all the entertainment and attractions.
Having to come home.
Location Staff friendly
Poor cleanliness Poor out dated poorly maintained decor & facilities Poor security on hotel room doors Noisy floor boards in corridors Dated toilets shows and baths Dusty & shabby
Bruno on reception couldn't do enough for us, he was really helpful and welcoming. The hotel was central to Hove and near the beach front.
It was a little bit shabby, could do with some TLC.
The room was a good size as was the bath and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I was perfectly happy with the room and do not have any criticisms. I would stay here again
Wifi excellent Location excellent Staff really helpful
Shower was pretty poor, more of a trickle sadly
The staff were lovely and very welcoming. My children's room was attached to my own and both rooms were comfortable with the addition of free wifi. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.
Longer walk into brighton center than expected. Breakfast service very slow, hour wait then gave up. Overnight parking outside, but car must be moved by 9am
The breakfast was delicious
The room was an absolute disgrace and to charge £155 was ludicrous. Ugly decor and a mouldy bathroom.
We found the hotel comfortable clean room was a bit small but for One night and the price was good.
Parking a bit of a pain had to be up and out to move the car or pay another £7. For an hour as you leave your room at 10. We were told parking is the same all around Brighton.
Parking Space of rooms
Sea view was nice
Scafolding outside the window
The room itself was fine and the Bathroom clean and modern. Staff on reception welcoming and friendly, a pleasant stay.
Stayed here several times.....good value & comfortable....
£7 a night street parking.....
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent selection for breakfast.
Car parking was a nightmare. The system needs an overhaul as it was confusing for visitors. Not a hotel problem, but down to the council.
Location very convenient for both beach and shops.
A little tired and no provision for wheelchair access.
Good location Good value Polite and helpfull staff Free wifi
Bed needed a new mattress, was very uncomfortable.
Being a old building it was very noisy and didnt get much sleep both nights of our stay. Creeky loud floors are the biggest issue about this hotel. The fire doors close with a loud bang which can wake up visitors throughout the night. Would not stay at this hotel ever again. Also the parking permits run which cost £7 per day runs out at 9am.
Location was good for Hove and the Old Market Theatre. Fourth floor room had no traffic noise and temperature of room was just right. Plenty of hot water for bath.
Creaky floorboards made me concerned about disturbing other guests below. TV & radio reception poor.
parking should be 24hr not 9am-9am.
Clean. freindly staff.
TV needs to be sorted out. Didn't work at all to begin with then could only get 5/6 channels. The only downside
Friendly helpful staff Location Clean Good breakfast nicely presented Excellent value for money
Needs a bit of tlc
all good except the coffee. Especially the value.
breakfast was great but slow and waiters English needs improvement. Coffee was stewed and if they upgraded that they would go up a star.
comfy bed and large room tasty breakfast
When we arrived we heard a guest telling reception he had already paid for parking then reception staff issued our parking tickets which we paid cash for then on our checkout two days later we were told that two days parking was owed.Make sure when your parking ticket is issued the hotel write paid on it when you pay for it. the morning breakfast room was understaffed( 1 person on duty) and had to keep asking for butter milk and juice if you could find staff. dint like that hotel was scaffolded and we were not told at time of booking. front steps are cracked at main entrance not pretty!
Hit the required price point, friendly and helpful. Clean room and bathroom
A bit shabby, not a lot of chic
It was nice enough/ clean.
The lift!!! It was far to small. It hadn't stopped moving before the door opened. If you have luggage...I wish you luck. There was stairs everywhere! I don't mean instead of the lift I mean aswell as. Room was clean but needed refurb. 80 for one night. Clock in at 3 out by 11am I feel is steep for what the room offers. Scaffolding on the front of the building wasn't attractive. Windows were a bit dodge.
